Jews Living in Judea and Samaria

Judea/Samaria's Jewish Population Growing
by Nadene Goldfoot

Jewish population in Judea/Samaria in 2009 was 303,900. It has gone up by 7.0%. This is a little less than the population of Portland, Oregon, which has 566,141 and is the largest city in Oregon.

The total population of Judea/Samaria is 2,311,204. Not many older people live here, only 3.50%. The main body is from 15 to 64 years old and amounts to 52.80%, which is a little over half of the population. Children from 0 to age 14 make up 43.80%.

The total population of Oregon is 3,421,399.

Of Judea/Samaria, 75% of the population are Sunni Muslims. Jews make up 17% and Christians and others amount to 8%. The intention of a created "Palestine" would be only Muslim, while Israel contains over a million Muslims.

The size of Judea/Samaria's land amounts to 5,860 km or 2,262 sq. miles.

Oregon's size is 251,419 sq km or 97,073 sq. miles. So although the population in Judea/Samaria is slightly smaller than Oregon, the size of Oregon is enormous compared to Judea/Samaria.

We withdrew all of the Jews out of Gaza in the name of peace, complying with Gazan wishes. Now it's just a place where they shoot at us. We still haven't relocated all of the Jewish residents that had to leave from there permanently. It would be a terrible ordeal to have to do the same thing in Judea/Samaria. Can you imagine having to relocate Portland's residents in an already crowded area?

I remember when the Ethiopian Jews came to Israel and were relocated in Safed. Safed is very cold in the winter, being on top of a mountain. It has the same altitude just about as Jerusalem. These poor people came from hot Africa in sheets, barefoot, and I wondered why we housed them there. It was because we had apartment buildings that were empty. They soon filled. The same thing happened when Russian Jews arrived in Israel. They were relocated in the hottest areas. Again, that was the area with the most available housing. Probably many had to live in tents for awhile. The Russians really wanted to live in Tel Aviv, being lovers of opera, symphonies, etc. Many held out in goverment housing such as where I lived while studying Hebrew in the Mercaz ha Klitta until housing became available.

The Jews in Judea/Samaria are religious and are there for that reason; Judea Samaria is dear to our history. Our history centers around our religion, unlike many countries. Finding it placed in our laps after the 1967 war was like a miracle. We lost many lives in that war as well as all other previous wars where we have been attacked just for existing. My feeling is that if the Palestinians don't want to lose possible land, they shouldn't start attacking Israel. They are complaining over the spilled milk that they themselves spilled.

Not Against Jews Just Hates Israel

Haifa, Israel
History Professor Kaukab Siddique insists statement calling on Muslims to 'stand united to defeat, to destroy, to dismantle Israel – if possible by peaceful means,' was blown out of proportion. 'I am against Israel, not against Jews," he says

This Middle East Professor teaches at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. This is an odd remark , to say the least, in that Israel is a state created as a Jewish state and contains about 6 million Jews and about 1 million Muslims. So is he saying he is not against just certain Jews who don't live in Israel?

I sure am glad I'm not taking a history class from this fellow. He certainly will have a distorted view of the history of Israel, in my opinion. I'd like to see the books he uses.

Catholics Sacrifice Israel's Well Being

Yesterday the Vatican City announced the findings of a two-week meeting of 246 Middle East bishops and religious leaders led by Pope Benedict XVI. They admit that the Koran is a text encouraging Islam to impose itself with permission to kill Christians. It gives orders to impose their religion with force, with the sword. They were all warned to guard against the spread of "terrorist ideology" in the modern world. Among the Catholics attending were Mohammad al-Sammak, political counsellor in Lebanon representing Sunni Islam, and Ayatollah Seyed Mostafa Mohaghegh Ahmadabadi, a professor in Tehran representing Shia Islam.

That must have been a strange meeting to have the people you are talking about and warning others of sitting in your midst. I am very surprised with this. I imagine they were there to hear the Pope give up Israel's rights.

So today these same Catholic bishops urged the United Nations to end the Israeli "occupation" of Arab lands at the end of a meeting chaired by Pope Benedict XVI. They asked the UN to work to find a peaceful solution in the region through the Security Council's resolutions which means for Israel to leave territories taken in 1967 war including east Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza.
They want the Palestinian people to have their independent homeland. The State of Israel will be able to have peace and security within their internationally recognized borders.

Jerusalem will have its proper status of 3 religions: Jewish, Christian and Muslim, they say, if Israel follows this. They came up with repeatedly saying that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the root of the tension in the whole Middle East, so now that they see they can be attacked by extreme Muslims, they are giving into their demands, thinking this will protect them.

What's worse, they blame the Israelis living in Judea and Samaria saying that they do not have a right to occupy the land anymore as "Christ's" presence abolished the promise G-d made to the Jews. Jews are no longer a favoured people, a chosen people. Now everyone is the chosen people, stated Lebanese-born Butros.

Regardless of the fact that we feel we have the bible to back our history that we lived in all of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and Gaza two thousand years ago, we are basing our legal right to be there by the fact that we were attacked in 1967 and won that war. We had a great loss of people then and since the birth of our country, Israel. We've had to fight for the small piece that was finally settled on us in the first place. The Palestinians have not claimed these areas since then as their own state and will not recognize us. The reason there has been no settlement about it is that they will not live peacefully with us but mean by any means possible to force us out. Now they are using the Catholics. That was a quick win, wasn't it.

The rightous bishops have not been really studying the facts at all if they are so gullible as to think that by sacrificing Israel to pacify the Muslims will bring Cum By-yah to the area. They say they condemn violence and terrorism but by giving into these demands they have signed their own death warrents and certainly have not helped to keep our chances of staying in the small area we started with in 1948. I think this decision will go down in infamy.

The Ummah, Organization of Middle East Countries

27 states in Europe called the European Union have joined forces together much like our 50 American states in that they have one market and standard laws for all. You do not need a passport to travel through 22 of these countries if you are one of them. 16 of the countries use the same money-the euro. Their unity is for their economy and politics. This takes in 500 million people in these states.

Right now the French are having fits and rioting in the streets because the government of France has raised retirement at age 60 to 62. They get 2 hour lunches and work only 4 days a week. Shall we all move to France? Sounds like heaven except for the rioting.

50 states make up our United States. of America. We have 307,006, 550 people, a smaller group than the EU. We have a separation of religion and politics. States have states rights but we have a common currency, also for all 50 of us. Right now the public wants more states rights and less Federal control.

There are 56 countries and the Palestinian Authority that have united in the Middle East which is called the Organization of the Islamic Conference or OIC. Their unity is to form an Ummah, a universal religious community which is based on the Koran, the Sunna, and the canonical orthodoxy of shari'a. Their unity is for their religion and political organization. They are very similar to the Muslim World League of the Muslim Brotherhood. This takes in more than one billion three to six hundred million Muslims. They have their permanent delegation at the United Nations. This is why I and others feel the U.N. is top-heavy with Arabs who are against Israel.

Ths IOC is restoring the Caliphate which is the supreme controlling body for all Muslims. Their 2008 charter says that they are promoting Islamic values and are to revitalize the role of Islam in the world, increase their prosperity and ensure the defense of their national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

They proclaim their support for Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital and get each other to promote human rights, basic freedoms, shari'a and democracy according to their constitutional and legal systems-meaning compliance with sharia.

They support all jihadist movements considered to be resisting "foreign occupation," pointing out Indian Kashmir and Muslims in India. No doubt they are thinking about Palestine.

The Secretary General Professor Ekmeleddin lhsanoglu is very much against the 240 houses that are to be built by Israelis in East Jerusalem. He calls this "our aggression." Naturally, as their intentions are to take over all of Jerusalem, they are against our building.

They are anti-Jewish, and in 2003 the Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad said that the Jews control the world: "They invented socialism, communism, human rights and democracy, so that persecuting them would appear to be wrong, so that they can enjoy equal rights with others. With these they have gained control of the most powerful countries and they, this tiny community, have become a world power”. He also said that “The Europeans killed six million Jews out of 12 million, but today the Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them”. Another member said that he was only trying to show that Jews have survived by their brains and not their brawn, but it certainly sounded anti-semitic to all those in attendance.

Naturally they were very vocal about Human Rights in condemning Israel. Human Rights Watch says that OIC has “fought doggedly” and successfully within the United Nations Human Rights Council to shield states from criticism, except when it comes to criticism of Israel. For example, when independent experts reported violations of Human Rights in the 2006 Lebanon War, “state after state from the OIC took the floor to denounce the experts for daring to look beyond Israeli violations to discuss Hezbollah’s as well”. In other words, Israel was all wrong and don't you dare bring up any criticism about the terrorists, Hezbollah.

The Palestinians are threatening to proclaim their state regardless if there are any peace talks between Abbas and Netanyahu or not and demand the take-over of Jerusalem. The odds are unbelievably against us that they will win support in the UN. Is the world going to allow this?

And Israel? Israel is all alone except for Ha Shem. Israel is a state by itself. The United States has been a friend ever since its birth in 1948, but just that, only a friend, and that has not always been reliable. Friends do have their spats. It's enduring and creating ideas and businesses amidst an environment of bombs bursting in their back yards, of fixing up their bomb shelters, of dealing with extinction from Iran and of course neighbors that are not inviting them over for milk and cookies. The OIC knows they exist because of their brains. Ha Shem gave the Arabs oil, but he gave the Jews brains. We're going to have to depend on them and Ha-Shem, for that is all we have.

Anti-Semitism 2009 in USA

I note that anti-semitism was happening in the states three times a day in 2009.

2009 saw 1,211 acts of anti-semitism in the United States. These were vandalism, harassments and physical assaults on Jews.

29 were physical assaults

760 were harassments and threats: 62% of this was anti-Jewish threats, and also there was hate propaganda and slurs

432 were reported vandalisms: This encompassed rock throwing at synagogues, anti-semitic graffiti and desecrations at cemeteries.

A shooting attack at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC also thwarted a plot by Muslim converts to bomb synagogues in Riverdale, New York.

Kick a Jew Day was happening in a Florida Middle School this year.

Another similar event was announced on Facebook a few weeks ago, like Kill a Jew Day. That was announced to whoever saw it on Facebook. Eventually it came down. It was found on 24 pages there and was urging violence anywhere you see a Jew between July 4th and July 22nd. The actual day was proclaimed to be July 9th.

I note that these happened in the states with the heaviest Jewish populations:

California was in the lead with 275 acts, which amounted to 23% in the states.

New York had: 209 acts or 17%

New Jersey had 132 acts or 10%

Florida had 90 acts or 7%

None of this included all the internet anti-semitic threats and harassments.

We have become more acceptable in modern American society, but this hasn't stopped a lot of anti-semitic happenings.

That Dangerous Islam

That Dangerous Islam
 Nadene Goldfoot
Edited 10/21/2010

It looks like the goals of Islam are not quite the same as those of Judaism or Christianity. An ancient goal of theirs made 1,400 years ago was to make the Quran and Allah's authority supreme over the entire world. From what I have learned, this 3rd religion converted with the help of their swords. Now people here in the USA think that most Muslims of today and in the USA are moderate thinkers, and some may be, but there are demands made upon them. As to whether or not they will follow is not exactly known.

As late as 1920, the Brotherhood movement was formed when the Ottoman Turkish Empire collapsed. They mean to see that their ancient goals are carried out. Today it's a dominant Islamic organization in the West giving birth to most of the major Muslim terrorist groups, including al-Qaida. It's giving the signal that it is "ready to move from putting out propaganda and base-building to revolutionary action".

In 1991 a document came out from the Muslims called "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America." The Brotherhood said that the Muslims must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabataging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions. "

In 1996 al-Qaida declared war on America, the West, Christians and Jews. It had been ignored by our politicians. Then we had 9/11 in 2001.

On September 30, 2010 a notable weekly sermon on the Muslim Brotherhood's website in Arabic from Muhammad Badi said that waging jihad against both Israel and the US is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded. This group having 100 times more activists than al-Qaida was issuing its declaration of war, declared Barry Rubin. Barry has been studying this subject as he is head of the Global Research in International Affairs Center and editor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs Journal. This sermon was a signal to the hundreds of thousands of followers.

Dr. Muhammad Badi is the 8th leader of the Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, elected a few months ago. He's from Egypt, 67 years old and is a veterinarian, one of the Arab's outstanding 100 scientists. He's been a member of the Brotherhood for the past 17 years. He has endorsed anti-American Jihad and the elements in the al-Qaida ideology book. He said that Arab and Muslim regimes are betraying their people by failing to confront the Muslim's real enemies, Israel and the USA. All Muslims are required by their religion to fight. They need to understand that the improvement and change that the Muslim nation seeks can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice. This is a jihadi generation that pursues death as the enemies pursue life. He also announced, "We will continue to raise the banner of Jihad and the Koran."

Just what does Jihad mean? According to the dictionary it means "struggle." It's a religious duty. It's interpreted a little different by the two major sects of Islam. The Sunnis feel it is the 6th pillar of Islam, whereas the Shia Islamists feel it is the 10th practice of their religion. It could refer to man's internal struggle with his religion to a struggle of a holy war. From what we see in al-Qaida, it's a holy war struggle.

Robert Spencer believes it's possible that Badi's sermon is a declaration of war like al-Qaida's 1996 declaration. Robert wrote "The Truth about Muhammad" founder of the world's most intolerant religion in 2006.

How do we know that the Saudi Arabians who destroyed the Twin Towers in 9/11 were not following this Muslim Brotherhood? After all, the men who did this dastardly deed were Muslims. That wasn't just a coincidence of them being friends and deciding on a joint project. From what I hear from the mayor of New York and others, it is inconceivable that there was a Muslim conspiracy. Yet, here it is: The Muslim Brotherhood.

The problem is affecting more countries than just Israel and the USA. I note that Malma, Sweden, is also having its problems with Muslims. Jews immigrated to this town after the Holocaust and got along fine, having a population of about 756. Today the Muslim population is 60,000 in this 300,000 population. They have made life so bad for the Jews that most of them have left. The mayor of Malma was up for some award, but it has been noted that he hadn't done a thing to protect his Jewish population and shouldn't receive any reward. Malma is a poorer city in Sweden. I hope they left for Israel. That's what it's for.

The question is this. How many Muslims follow radical Islamists? If the Brotherhood is an active organization, they just might be receiving communications by email today, regardless if they attend a mosque or not. This is why there is such an uproar over building a mosque so close to the 9/11/ site. People who are students of Islam history realize that there are goals in doing this other than having a new place to worship in. It's unfortunate that this bit of education has not been a part of our education. It isn't meant to be slanderous or cruel, just a part of life that is worth noting and thinking about.

In 2005 it was noted by writer Stephen Schwartz that radical Islam in America was found in our media, prisons, the military and academia. The 9/11 act was caused by Saudi Arabs who follow Wahhabi ideology, which is Sunni. Of 19 suicide terrorists, 15 were subjects of Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabism is the most extreme, violent, separatist and expansionistic form of Islam today. It not only is angry with the West but wants to impose conformisty on the whole Muslim world. Because of changes in immigration laws, people came here from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Then the Saudis decided to unite Muslims and created the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR, said to be a terrorist supporting front organization funded by terrorists. Another group is the Islamic Society of North America, controlled directly from Saudi Arabia and owns 250 of the 1,200 main mosques in the US. The research of Mr. Schwartz indicates that 80% of American mosques are under the control of the Saudis and Wahhabism. There is no knowledge of what % of American Muslims are supporters of this more radical form of Islam. There is the Islamic Circle of North America which is a type of extremist militia and has a bad reputation for threatening, intimidating and enforcing conformity with Muslim Pakistanis.
99% of the world's 1.2 billion Muslims are said to be moderate. 1% of 1.2 billion happens to be 12 million people. These are the ones saying that America is the great Satan and is to be attacked. Islam is growing faster today than any other religion.

In the United States we have about 5 million Muslims. 20% of them live in California and 16% are in New York. Illinois has 8.4% while 4.0 live in New Jersey. 42% of America's Muslims are Black Americans. Arabs themselves make up only 12.4%. Iranians make up 5.2%, Turks make up 2.4% and white Americans are only 1.6%.

We are now on high alert in traveling oversees. It's hard to imagine anyone wanting to do us harm, but there is a threat. Religions are a good thing in bringing standards of behavior in line, but some religions also go for power, and Islam today seems to be really wanting it.

Don't Gas Up with Shell Oil: Sanctions With Iran

Shell Oil Co. has broken the sanctions of trade in Iran.

"Until Shell publicly announces the cancellation of further crude oil purchases from Iran,we urge the public to exercise its intellignt choice and avoid Shell gas stations to give their business to companies that honour sanctions. All who are concerned for world peace and human rights should leave Shell products on the shelf." concluded Samuels.

Homes For Israel in East Jerusalem

The United States is very disappointed that Israel has decided to go ahead with plans of building 238 homes in East Jerusalem. Everyone thinks that this is reason enough not to go ahead with any talks about peace.

Well, I'm disappointed with the United States in not understanding that we just may not be ready to give away East Jerusalem to a future Palestine. Ohama had said to us that Jerusalem should be united for Israel. How would he like to give away 1/4 of Washington DC?

We've been playing the give-away game for a long time, now, and the last mistake was Gaza. The Hamas are not about to make peace with us. They just want to destroy Israel, so, we're building Israel.

The reporters and peace-makers are quick to judge that Netanyahu is not interested in peace. Of course they are so wrong. That's exactly what we want. But we're not going to sacrifice anymore. We've had it.

Intel in Oregon and Israel

Intel has 15,000 employees in Oregon, more than any other business. They are planning on building a semiconductor factory in Israel which means a $2.75 billion expansion. They build parts for computers. Intel is in 14 different sites in the United States.

The Oregon site is in Hillsboro, 16 miles from Portland. They started the business here in 1976 We have Israelis working at Intel.

10/6/10: Today's paper has another article titled: Governor will talk trade in Israel. Ted Kulongoski has a delegation planned for October 25 for 8 days of a trade mission to Israel. This will be his 2nd trip to Israel in the past two years and actually his 4th trip to Israel. He will meet with clean tech companies and venture capitalists and visit an Intel facility that is slated for expansion.

Israel is as far ahead as any country in the world on renewable energy, he commented. He thinks Israel and Oregon can partner on these things. He will also visit Intel's semiconductor factory in Kiryat Gat in the south. The Israelis working here in Hillsboro come from that facility to train them on new manufacturing technology. The Kiryat Gat factory is going to have a $2.75 billion dollar expansion. The Oregon chip industry people think an even larger project is planned here.

The Port of Portland is also sending a delegation. Last year Oregon exports to Israel added up to $107 million , which is 21st among the state's biggest trading partners. Oregon's top export country is China which bought $3 billion in Oregon last year. The governor said that we have a very strong commercial connection with Israel. He believes in Israeli democracy and sees an economic opportunity for Oregon with Israel. "I've always been taken by it", he said. "I'm a student of history."

Which American President Has Been Israel's Friend

Friend or Foe: American Presidents
by Nadene Goldfoot

Hands down. I would vote for Harry Truman. He fought for voting for Israel in the U.N. in giving them the right to have the state. He said he felt like Cyrus who had allowed Jews, even encouraged them in relocating back in their homeland of Israel. Truman had undergone pressure against this vote from several of his advisors. Truman was a businessman and his partner was Jewish. Otherwise, I don't believe that he even knew many Jews. Whether he cared for all Jews or not, he brought about the miracle we had hoped and prayed for for two thousand years. To make this even nicer, I believe my mother is connected to his wife, Bess's family tree. Was I ever shocked to find my findings landed on Bess. Would she ever be surprised. I have since heard that she hadn't liked Jews.

Bill Clinton is to be admired for his financial successes with the USA. We weren't in the hole when he was president. What has he done for Israel? For one, he did not think about terror as a serious threat, so he didn't seem to understand what Israel was facing. After the attacks on the World Trace Center of February 1993 and the Khobar Towers in June 1996, he still wasn't moved to take serious steps here. This is shown by his decision to make terror a criminal offence instead of an act of war. He was not friendly with the CIA or even on speaking terms with the FBI, so he wasn't in tune with the main security agencies. America was not prepared for a 9/11. Being that he didn't take terrorism seriously, he probably wouldn't have gone into Iraq, which was something Israel wasn't even happy about. I believe that when the USA went into Iraq, Israel's response was, "Not Iraq!" There was a balance between Iraq and Iran, two warring countries. They had kept each other in check. Now Iran has the power and it's in the hands of a meshugana.

Thanks to Clinton, in 1993 he "compelled" the Rabin government to bring back from Lebanon 415 Hamas leaders that Israel had expelled. That should have made the Muslim Brotherhood very happy besides the Islamic Republic of Iran. I don't know what that was so necessary to him. He wasn't president of Israel and wasn't currying favors or votes there, or was he?

The Saudis have been quite friendly with both Clinton and Bush for various reasons. This Arab country donated from 10 to 25 million dollars to the Clinton presidential library fund. Prince Bandar commented that Saudis take care of friends when they leave office.

Last week Clinton knocked my socks off when he said that Russian Jews that have immigrated to Israel were critical of the "peace process of Judea and Samaria." They seemed to be in the way of what Clinton expected. What a lot of chutzpa that was to criticize a group of our immigrants. That was the worst remark that I have heard from this president other than "I did not have sex with this woman".

Bush was a different story. He is a very friendly person and was very open. He showed the public that he was friends with Israel. He even went to Israel for the 60th birthday celebration and was most friendly with PM Olmert. Along came the Saudis with pressure and threaten and by August 2001 he started sponsoring a Palestinian state. By November 2005 Condoleezza Rice "compelled" Israel to open the Rafah crossings against Israel's protesting. She was the one who pressed for elections in the Palestinian Authority on January 25, 2006 causing Abbas to lose and allowed a terrorist group, Hamas, to win. They most likely won with terrorism on most of their own constituants. So Abbas, a more moderate man, lost face and had to stay in Judea/Samaria. Gaza has been the center of terror ever since then for Israel. Now Abbas is still under pressure, from what I can see, from Hamas in his decision not to recognize Israel. that's just what Hamas is all about; not recognizing Israel and instead wiping her out.

To top it off, the National Intelligence in November 2007 came up with reports said there was no threat in the Iranian nuclear program. Now, in 2010 the ultimate danger can happen at any time. If it wasn't for the Stuxnet computer worm, they may have been able to be up and ready to discharge their weapons right now. At least, for the moment, they have been deterred.

What has Obama done to harm Israel? First, he has never claimed to be a friend. In fact, in June 2009 in his Cairo speech he publicly showed that he preferred the Arabs over Israel. Today he has been pressuring Israel and dangling favors in front of them to extend the settlement freeze past the 10 month extension that Israel had already given. Hillary Clinton and Mitchell have constantly beeen in Israel pressuring the government to go along with their thinking. When Netanyahu stayed the course of his government and was in the White House discussing the situation, Obama stiffed him by showing his distain by not inviting him to dinner, and having him enter through a side or back door, as I remember. That event was shocking to me.

Until now, ever since Truman in 1948, American presidents have said they were friends of Israel. This is something that the Muslim world community has held against the USA. Despite what America has done in its actions which have had nothing to do with Israel, they have complained that after all, they are friends with Israel. To be our friend has evidently been a stigma to this president. Other presidents have held the course of being our friend, even though in reality they "knew not what they were doing with us". Obama has been much easier to read.

I have read many times when something or someone comes along, the question, "but is this good for the Jews? That's the question being asked about Obama. Since 1948 we've had Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter. Carter has been the most damagining for Israel. He has written books that are very damaging where he has cited incorrect information. His harm continues today. Since his presidency there has been Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and now Obama. He's the 12th president on the timeline of history who has not presented himself as a friend. The question remains; is he a foe?

Palestinian Village's Mosque Torched

I just read an article online about Beit Fajjar, a Palestinian village of 8001 people in Judea/Samaria about 10 km from Bethlehem, written by Najib Farray and sent to us by AFP from the "Palestinian Territories". It says that presumedly 6 armed Israeli men had torched a mosque there, which burned a Koran and prayer rugs. Bethlehem, a city of 30,000, is only 6 miles from Jerusalem and contains the largest Christian population in Israel. Gush Etzion has been named as the Jewish city that the perpetrators could have come from.

Now I do not condone such behavior, and I'm angry to see that if it indeed were Israelis, that they have stooped as low as the terrorists in doing this. It's not right. The first question that comes to mind is, "How can it be that religious Israelis living in Judea and Samaria would do a thing like this?" It hasn't been proven, only reported.
"The Israeli military described the attack as a "grave and serious incident" and said it had launched a manhunt for the perpetrators."

On the other hand, I just read in the Oregonian this morning that many Muslim countries as well as some people in the states do not accept the fact of who rammed the Twin Towers and caused the plane headed for the White House or some other important place to destroyed. There we have evidence galore. Reports are that they are even blaming Israel for this murderous act.

We have been accused throughout the ages of dastardly deeds, such as poisoning wells when people got sick. We're the usual scapegoat. Nowdays we're even accused of being horrid when we try to protect ourselves in the safest of ways possible-it's still deemed wrong. So jumping to conclusions is not a good idea in this case. Justice has to be innocent until proven guilty, and have a better judge than Goldstone has been.

It reminds me of what Golda Meier once said. She was so sad that Israeli men had to learn warfare from their enemies. Here, I think that if true, it's sad that our orthodox men has learned retribution from their enemies. They should have more faith that what goes around comes around. Their enemies will get their just desserts somehow, but they don't have to be the chef. Yet this may be what this is for shooting and killing Israelis driving through the area.

from Jerusalem Post: The Defense Minister said that, "Whoever did this is a terrorist in every sense of the word, and intended to hurt the chances for peace and dialogue with the Palestinians. This was a shameful act that besmirched the State of Israel and its values."Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu added his voice to the condemnation, saying that he wanted security forces to "expose those responsible and bring them to justice as soon as possible."Speaking in New York earlier in the day, Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni expressed her dismay on hearing of the incident, saying "this is a non-Jewish act which completely contradicts the values of Judaism."

Egypt Backs Palestinians in Not Speaking

Well, what do you know. Egypt is backing the Palestinians in not participating in Peace Talks with Israel. I could have told you that outcome. You don't have to be a genius to have figured that one out.

Abbas of the Palestinians won't speak to Israel until Israel issues a freeze on building in Judea and Samaria after a 10 month freeze that he had had on the area. Abbas didn't come around during the freeze, so...it's now off. Abbas is not willing to recognize Israel, so what is the point of talking to him, anyway? Israel has been a reality for over 62 years now, so they have had time to think about it.

Anyway, what the Palestinians want is to have the issues to be dealt with decided and in the bag before they talk, like Judea and Samaria being free of all Jews. I know what they should talk about. Fatah wants to bring in all their descendants, crushing Israel with their population. That can't happen. There are lots to talk about, such as water usage, boundaries, etc.

Good for Netanyahu for sticking to his guns. That's why he was elected. He's a man with strength under the worst pressure possible.

Frankly, I don't see what good any peace talks would come to. Abbas is not giving an inch, and he really is powerless over Hamas. If they ever did come to the point of Palestinian creation, Israel will be in the middle of two possible enemies instead of the one right now from Gaza. Somehow Hamas would take over the vote and get into Judea and Samaria.

Now I've heard that Abbas wants the UN to create Palestine anyway without talking about any peace with Israel. That's the next hurdle. So much for recognizing Israel. I guess Abbas will just continue grinding out textbooks for their children showing all of Israel as Palestine.

What Osama bin Laden Likes

Today's Oregonian ran an article about 53 year old Osama bin Laden, the founder of al-Qaida and no lover of Israel.Osama just made two new audio recordings on Friday and Saturday with the following comments. I'm surprised as to the days released. Friday is the time of the Muslim sabbath.

This man, who sees himself as a world leader and has caused the twin Towers to fall, killing over 3,000 people as well as other terrorist acts, commended the writings of Noam Chomsky, the professor of Linguistics who has dabbled badly into Middle East History from MIT. He has bashed Israel so in so many of his books that bin Laden now admires him. I wonder if this impresses Chomsky.

Osama bin Laden also praised Jimmy Carter's book on the Palestinians and cited the 2007 book written by John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt of Harvard, two American professors on the pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC, which tears it apart. That book was absolutely appalling to those of us who love and support Israel and understand the duress and terrorism that she is under.

These people he loves have only hurt Israel in so many ways. It's not enough that Israel has been fighting terrorism since its birth but has to endure irrational criticism from such people. I think these three have only wanted to feather their own nests and egos and certainly have not care a hoot as to what harm they have done to Israel. They have just joined the side of terrorism as far as I'm concerned. When Osama bin Laden agrees and likes your views, you're in trouble.

News Host Cried: CNN Owned by Jews

Now I’ve heard everything.

A CNN news host, ,Rick Sanchez, was fired for saying that CNN was owned by Jews and fired him because he’s Latino. He was born in Guanabacoa, Cuba and raised in a suburb of Miami, Florida.

Good grief! Here we go again. Everything is owned by the Jews; that is if you don’t like them. Our less than 1% of people certainly do get around, don’t we? I wish my friends would tell me what their secret is in owning everything. How did I get left out.

Since when, I'd ask him, don't Jews like Latinos? We have Jews in Latin America. Look at Mexico. On my one and only trip to Mexico when my children were in grade school, we were stumbling about in Mexico City and it was lunch time. We came upon a Jewish restaurant-in Mexico! What a wonderful surprise that was. During the Inquisition 1479-1492, Jews escaped to Mexico when all practicing Jews were expelled from Spain. They were safe for awhile, but then the Inquisition followed them there. Other reasons have brought Jews to Mexico as well.

Jews fled to Cuba at the time of the Inquisition also, so they've been there for centuries. Those of today are mostly non practicing. There are probably many Cubans with ancestors who were Jewish, and they are unaware of it without a dna test. Many Cuban Jews have also found a haven in Florida because of Castro and communism. Right now I'm very amazed and pleased that Castro has come out saying that Israel has every right to protect herself.

This was reported on NBC, by the way, here in Portland .

The Stuxnet Computer Virus and Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Plans

Iran has built the Bushehr nuclear power plant, which most of the world says is a nuclear weapons threat. Right now it’s been hit with a computer virus, the Stuxnet.

The Stuxnet virus was noticed in June 2010 and by July was said to be a hypersophisticated piece of malware created by a team working for either the US or Israel. Experts are wondering why it was created. "Stuxnet is a 100% directed cyber attack that can destroy an industrial process in the real world. It’s a 100% sabatage attack.

It can take control of your infrastructure. It’s a targeted weapon, they say. Since it is USA experts who are tearing it apart, I don’t believe it was created in the USA.

It has infected about 45,000 industrial control systems around the world. Most of the computers infected are in Iran, Pakistan, India and Indonesia. Some computers in Germany, Canada, and the US have also been infected, it has been discovered.

They question if it has already hit its target. There are no clues about this. The Iranina power plant just might be it. However, why are other countries hit? A Russian contractor built the power plant and had jobs in other countries where the attackware has been discovered. If Iran’s nuclear plant starts up in a few months, we’ll know that wasn’t the target.
