I note that anti-semitism was happening in the states three times a day in 2009.
2009 saw 1,211 acts of anti-semitism in the United States. These were vandalism, harassments and physical assaults on Jews.
29 were physical assaults
760 were harassments and threats: 62% of this was anti-Jewish threats, and also there was hate propaganda and slurs
432 were reported vandalisms: This encompassed rock throwing at synagogues, anti-semitic graffiti and desecrations at cemeteries.
A shooting attack at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC also thwarted a plot by Muslim converts to bomb synagogues in Riverdale, New York.
Kick a Jew Day was happening in a Florida Middle School this year.
Another similar event was announced on Facebook a few weeks ago, like Kill a Jew Day. That was announced to whoever saw it on Facebook. Eventually it came down. It was found on 24 pages there and was urging violence anywhere you see a Jew between July 4th and July 22nd. The actual day was proclaimed to be July 9th.
I note that these happened in the states with the heaviest Jewish populations:
California was in the lead with 275 acts, which amounted to 23% in the states.
New York had: 209 acts or 17%
New Jersey had 132 acts or 10%
Florida had 90 acts or 7%
None of this included all the internet anti-semitic threats and harassments.
We have become more acceptable in modern American society, but this hasn't stopped a lot of anti-semitic happenings.
