Iran: Ready to Strike Israel

Nadene Goldfoot
Iran has been advocating the destruction of  Israel for some time now. Amadinejad  has said Israel has to be wiped off the map.   It's as if both Amadinejad and Khamenei are the reincarnation of that old despot, Haman, who also wanted to get rid of all Jews in Persia, which brought out Queen Esther as the one who saved her people.

Now the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, supreme ruler of Iran,  has a website in which a doctrine has just been posted, written by Khamenei's strategy specialist, Alireza Forghani, so it has the Iranian regime's support.

This doctrine says that it is legal and moral to kill all Jews and to annihilate Israel.  They figure that it will take only 9 minutes to do this and say they should launch a pre-emptive strike because of the threat to their nuclear facilities.

Right now Ahmadinejad is in trouble with Khamenei for causing financial problems over the Strait of Hamus.  He has been defying Khamenei for some time, now.  Khamenei has called for Ahmadinejad to appear before the parliament to answer 10 questions.  This is an inopportune time for Ahmadinejad who needs to work on campaigning for his friends.  He wishes to preside as president for longer than 2 terms and getting his friends in would do that for him.  Of course he's the one who has been threatening Israel for the past several years.

Peres, President of Israel just appealed to the people of Iran and gave a message of peace to them.  "We were not born enemies and there is no need to live as enemies. Do not allow the flags of hostility to cast a dark shadow over your historic heritage," Peres said. "Your people are a sensitive people that aspire for friendship and peace, and not for conflicts and wars."

Obama and staff in the USA have been telling Israel that a threat is not imminent and not to strike now.  He figures that it will take another year for Iran to have the A weapon ready for use.

I wonder if these Iranian leaders realize that they would no doubt destroy Jerusalem with such a 9 minute attack as well as 1.4 Muslims who are citizens of Israel as well as Muslim Arabs living in Gaza, Judea and Samaria.  In an atomic attack it isn't just the main center that is killed but the outskirts as well.  In fact, even Iran might suffer from some fallout.  For if Israel sees that it is being attacked by such means, it will surely push the button to hit Iran.  Khamenei and his killer regime will not come out unscathed.

Iran is out to wipe Israel off the map and kill every single Jew.  Muslim clerics like Qaradawi have also called for the death of all Jews everywhere.  Israel wants to protect itself and in doing so would only attack the site where Iran is  creating atomic weapons like they did to Iraq.  They are not about to use atomic bombs to do this and would not want to harm innocent civilians.  The motives of attack are quite different.  One is to kill everyone; the other is to live.

Long ago in Persia, before 330 BCE, Hamen never thought that the tables would be turned on him and his sons, either.  They all wound up hung.  .  Persia was not happy with them.  We Jews will be remembering this historical episode  from the book of Queen Esther in our lives next month on the 7th and 8th of March with Purim.  I wouldn't be suprised if Ahmadinejad and Khamenei's ancestors were the Ameleks.
