Egypt Backs Palestinians in Not Speaking

Well, what do you know. Egypt is backing the Palestinians in not participating in Peace Talks with Israel. I could have told you that outcome. You don't have to be a genius to have figured that one out.

Abbas of the Palestinians won't speak to Israel until Israel issues a freeze on building in Judea and Samaria after a 10 month freeze that he had had on the area. Abbas didn't come around during the freeze, so...it's now off. Abbas is not willing to recognize Israel, so what is the point of talking to him, anyway? Israel has been a reality for over 62 years now, so they have had time to think about it.

Anyway, what the Palestinians want is to have the issues to be dealt with decided and in the bag before they talk, like Judea and Samaria being free of all Jews. I know what they should talk about. Fatah wants to bring in all their descendants, crushing Israel with their population. That can't happen. There are lots to talk about, such as water usage, boundaries, etc.

Good for Netanyahu for sticking to his guns. That's why he was elected. He's a man with strength under the worst pressure possible.

Frankly, I don't see what good any peace talks would come to. Abbas is not giving an inch, and he really is powerless over Hamas. If they ever did come to the point of Palestinian creation, Israel will be in the middle of two possible enemies instead of the one right now from Gaza. Somehow Hamas would take over the vote and get into Judea and Samaria.

Now I've heard that Abbas wants the UN to create Palestine anyway without talking about any peace with Israel. That's the next hurdle. So much for recognizing Israel. I guess Abbas will just continue grinding out textbooks for their children showing all of Israel as Palestine.
