Rigging UN Post Against Israel With Falk's Wife

One of my pet peeves has been  the UN's appointment of Richard Falk in a Human Rights position who did nothing but bombast Israel at every chance he could.  The reason he is used as ammunition against Israel is that he is a self-hating Jew (in denial) who is dead set to destroy Israel.  .  The man is deviant and he has a wife just like him except she's not Jewish;  she's Turkish, born in a Muslim household in Turkey and raised and educated there,  though now she doesn't practice her religion, she says.   That one fact in itself may be coloring her attitude towards Israel.    As he is finally leaving this last 6 year post spewing falsehoods against Israel, his wife, Hilal Elver, anxious to fill his seat of power,  is being groomed for the same position.

Falk is a person who promoted 9/11 conspiracies of David Ray Griffen who thanked him in his book, "The New Pearl Harbor." "Griffin has published a number of books on the subject of the September 11 attacks, suggesting that there was a conspiracy involving some elements of the United States government." 

Falk accused Israel of genocide. He also accused Israel of apartheid in his latest and final UN report.  He said that criticism of Turkey's President Erdogen was  exaggerated.   Most likely that's because he is married to a Turkish lady who was successful in their government, Hilal Elver.   Falk has targeted America and the West in articles, books and lectures every chance he gets.

His better half, Hilal, is also his shadow and is in agreement with all the above points of her husband.  Hilal Elver, PhD, works at the U of C in Santa Barbara as a research professor.  She has a law degree from Ankara, Turkey.  Unfortunately, Turkey has become more religious with Erdogen lately who is more into Sharia law and more against Israel.   She lectured in Qatar and threw in another attack against Israel that her husband missed  and accused Israel of water apartheid.  I take it that meant she is saying that Israel is not allowing her neighbors to have any water which according to my reports is absolutely false. As a researcher, she must be hiding files that show how much good Israel has done for her neighbors.  Israel is drinking sea water by creating desalination plants.  She is helping her neighbors in any water crisis.  Without Israel her neighbors would soon be drinking sand.  Who else has been highly innovative in creating ways to improve life?  Israel already signed a peace treaty about water with Jordan in 1994 and one with the PA in 1995.

 The duo do have a great technique.  They pronounce a sentence against Israel so authoritatively that gullible and like-minded people just gobble it up without doing any checking.  It was Hitler's method.

Hilal Elver Falk is a co-author and Richard's collaborator.  With her PhD she might even be his instigator.  It's hard to tell who the leader is of this twosome.  She is supposed to be an expert on the right to food.

The position that Richard has held was created by the Cubans and for years was held by Jean Ziegler who was the founder and recipient of the "Moammar Qaddafi Human Rights Prize."  Remember Qaddafi?  "He was internationally condemned as a dictator and autocrat whose authoritarian administration violated the human rights of Libyan citizens and supported international terrorism."  This dictator of Libya started his power in 1969 so had been their ruler for 42 years.  What kind of man can back such a person?   He's what I would pronounce as having a mental condition of meshugana, which is pretty bad.   A Human Right's Prize?  He used that prize to attack America, Israel and the West.  Ziegler " condemned the Jewish state so often that journalists began to describe him, mistakenly, as the council’s investigator on Palestine."  They do manage to select people wholly against Israel, don't they?  Ziegler, a Swiss socialist,  was a spokesman for Cuba.  The problem always has been that such positions have been rigged to be people who will speak out against Israel.  Now, Israel had a lot of socialism going on too, especially starting kibbutzim, but they were highly successful at it.  Cuba?  Well...not as much.  Here, Zeigler's anti-Semitic stand got in the say of his politics, perhaps.  
                                                                         

Richard Falk has been bearing false witness against Israel for his reign of the past 6 years.  "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" is one of the 10 Commandments found in Exodus and is the 9th commandment.  This also prohibits gossip and slander. This was to keep such things as a Richard Falk using slander and lies against the accused  from never happening but to use 3 witnesses who are objective.  Using one person who is not is prohibited in our 3,324 years old law.  It's interesting in that Islam accepts Moses as a Prophet.  What do they think of the 10 commandments?  They say they support those as well.  However, the UN, who has been favoring such Muslim countries very much in attacks against Israel, is ignoring this commandment. If Judaism, Christianity and Islam respect the 10 Commandments, shouldn't the UN start to consider them in their organization?  The UN has become a bastion of lies more than a place of helping countries to solve their problems.  In taking this stand, the UN is harming Israel just as sure as the rockets, missiles and mortars that have been raining down on Israel from Gaza. They are guilty of aiding and abetting Israel's neighbors who are trying to drive her into the sea.

Richard Falk is known for his extremist politics  and Hilal will probably do him one better.  In this way, Richard Falk would maintain his influence.  It's now up to the United States  and Samantha Power, the US Ambassador, to oppose her appointment on Thursday, May 8th.  This was to have taken place in March but was postponed.
Hilal's latest endeavor has been  "on a book project dealing with secularism and human rights in the Islamic world."

Peace Talks Amounted to Blackmail and Bribery: March 31st Deadline Missed

Abbas, head of the PA Arabs, has to be bribed to sit and talk with Netanyahu and his contingent about peace.  The Arabs have insisted that they will not sit unless 104 Arab criminals, most serving life sentences for murder,  were released from Israeli prisons.  The Israelis have complied, because peace is their goal, by already releasing 78,  but this has brought on much hand-wringing as the criminals were killers, responsible for many horrible crimes.  To release them was almost like a future death  knoll for other Israelis to be facing.  That was asking a lot.  Left to be released of this Arab-preferred group are 26 more.  Most all have served 20 years already.

Alan Dershowitz, an American lawyer, had occasion to advise Obama to at least throw in Pollard's release for the Israelis in order to get Israel to go ahead and finish by freeing the 26 left. " One of the 26 had murdered a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to Israel after his family died in the Nazi death camps.

Pollard is an American Jew who is in prison for being a spy for Israel, though Israel didn't hire him.  It was something he had in his own sites to do for Israel, who presumably was a friend of the USA anyway.

John Kerry, US Secretary of State, was just in Israel and spoke with Netanyahu without talking to Abbas.  He's now in Brussels but may speak with him on his way back.

Pollard is eligible to be  released in November 2015 after serving 30 years of a life sentence.  Is is really a balanced trade to use Pollard as a bargaining chip versus 26 killers?  To wave Pollard's freedom in front of Netanyahu to extend the talks ,  that are going nowhere is not worth the act of freeing terrorists.  It only is causing  the Israeli public to be horrified since there is no assurance that once the criminals are freed that the PA will continue to sit since they seem to need a carrot dangling constantly.  Already there is talk of an unofficial building freeze in Judea and Samaria in exchange for Pollard.  We don't know who is talking about it, the PA, Kerry or Israel.  It may be the next carrot to dangle in front of the Arabs to sit still and listen and talk in a conversation about peace, at least.

Senior PA leader Nabil Shaath was heard to say that "due to the prisoners we haven't stopped negotiations. We blackmailed  Israel to release the prisoners." One of the prisoners is Abu-Musa Salam Ali Atia, a Gaza resident and member of Fatah who was convicted of murdering Holocaust survivor Isaac Rotenburg as part of an initiation into a Palestinian terror group.  Rotenburg was working in 1994 when he was attacked by 2 Palestinians laborers with axes.

They are saying that they threatened to have Israel prosecuted at the International Criminal Court.  What they want them prosecuted about doesn't matter.  The UN holds Israel up to much higher standards than any other country in the world.  All they do is berate Israel in their meetings in the Human Rights Council, so they can make up any story and others will buy into it.  The PA already has the membership in the UN they were seeking so have the power to do so.  Nabil Shaath has said now that they are just waiting for the prisoners to be released before they stop the negotiations.  This tells us that the current round of peace talks might have just been a game-a charade with them.

Now in many countries, such murderers that Israel has in their prisons would have been shot in about 3 days after being picked up.  However, Israel doesn't have the death sentence.  So now they have become a bargaining chip.  So much for being moralistic and doing away with a death sentence.  Right now haggling over the release of this last 4th batch is going on since they all missed the Saturday, March 31st deadline set by Kerry.  "Netanyahu said that Israel would not make a deal to free the prisoners "without a clear benefit for Israel in return."  Evidently that's why Kerry is using Pollard as bait.  

"An Israeli official said that the Palestinians also did not live up to their commitments under the framework, including to engage in serious and good faith negotiations."  As I have said before, I do not not believe that the PA has peace as a goal.  They're just going along with the charter that Hamas has, but attacks in their won way against Israel with the same goal to destroy Israel.  They don't want to start from scratch to create a state they can't administer anyway.  It's much easier to take over Israel and use it until it falls apart, such as the land was when Jews returned to it.  

To make matters even more convoluted, the PA is now demanding the release of 14 Israeli Arabs. .  "The Israeli government has so far refused to consider freeing Israeli citizens convicted of terrorist acts."  There is confusing information from a radio report that Israel would free 400 prisoners if they were to remain in Judea-Samaria, but Netanyahu's office is nixing that idea.  Rumors.  Innuendos.  Not facts.  

Israeli citizens that are victims of terror have demonstrated already and are blaming the USA. 

They feel that Kerry has an agenda that is promoting peace in the Middle East and in order to carry it out has somehow pressured or even blackmailed the PM of Israel into releasing terrorists,  said Yossi Zur, spokesperson for the victims as he talked to the Washington Free Beacon.  The US officials have emphasized over and over that they want negotiations without preconditions, but they finally gave in and surrendered to this precondition of releasing terrorists.  One wonders what it would take to release the Boston terrorist who attacked the Boston marathon?  Multiply him by 104 and under what conditions would the USA free them all?  Would there be a solid guarantee that it was worth it attached?  

Update is that Pollard was to be freed if Israel freed 400 more prisoners;  one for 400.  Johanathan was a mentch in that he himself  is not going for it.  He waived his parole hearing to oppose the deal.  "The proposed deal was also sharply criticized by Judea and Samaria's Yesha Council as being a "disgraceful" case of "Arab blackmail and American bribery."

Israel Still in 1st Place as Scapegoat of World-UN: 6 out of 10 Resolutions Against Her

Usually Israel gets 10 condemnations but this year, only 6, which is way too much when you look at what's going on in other places on this planet. However, they must be making progress.   Of course, it's mostly all up to Ban Ki-moon, South Korean and  Secretary General of the UN,  as to how the UN doles these out. Ban Ki-moon will be head until December 31, 1916.  He's on his 2nd term in this position.   To understand why Israel is singled out and a thorn in the UN's side, you must look at the makeup of the UN groups who decide such things.  The vote went something like this:

 59 abstentions

The UN General Assembly voted against Israel with 6 resolutions.  They had their usual show of contempt and bias that they use to judge Israel.  I feel silly using the term with the UN, but what they do is showing the ultimate anti-Semitism/anti-Israel against Israel.  Knowing the facts involved, I cannot come to any other conclusion; that and stupidity.

Everything centers around the 1967 War.  This is when Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, along with Iraq, Algeria, Kuwait, Sudan and the whole Arab nations  attacked Israel and Israel not only won but got back the places that were to belong to her according to the Balfour Doctrine of which the whole League of Nations had signed naming this all as the Jewish National Home.  It was Jordan who helped herself to the sites of Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem and Syria had the Golan Heights from where they bombed Israel.   Note how slimy the wording is about how the Palestinians are injured by the reclaiming of this land by Israel which has harmed them.

You must then forget that those in Gaza, called the Hamas terrorists, haven't stopped attacking Israel with mortars, rockets and missiles.  You must forget that Fatah in Judea and Samaria  are also the new PLO terrorists who are just slightly better than Hamas is, but who have supplied many a suicide bomber and such to harm Israel, causing the wall to have to be built.

Then you must remember that the Palestinians are being used as pawns to try to win back land that they couldn't by war, so they're using this type of scheming; Jewish land, land of our fathers in our history, Jerusalem, built by King David, a Jewish King.

You also must remember that by international law the places spoken of have law on Israel's side; that Israel has rights to it  both old and new by any law.

You must remember that there never was a country of Palestine.  The Palestinians are what Americans would call poachers.  They came in from surrounding territories to find work in the first place.  They didn't even think of wanting this land.  It was the Arab leaders who thought this one up and sold them on the idea.

The 4 resolutions not on Israel are on Syria, Iran, North Korea and Myanmar.  Each of those were only worthy of one condemnation each.  Note that Syria has murdered at least 120,000 of its own people and was using chemical warfare on the last group when Russia finally had to intercede and stop Assad.  So what sins has Israel committed that can top that, pray tell?

We also see that abuses committed by China, Cuba, Egypt, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Zimbabwe pale in comparison to the 4 ranking countries and definitely to Israel. They never were mentioned but we know have committed insults and injury  to the very idea of Human Rights.

  Wanting a nuclear-weapon-free world-risk of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East

    India, Israel and Pakistan are to sign promptly and without conditions and to place all their nuclear facilities under International Energy Agency safeguards.  Israel's accession to the Treaty is wanted and so they are singling out Israel with a vote of 165 Yes, 7 No, 5 abstain.; and again 153 Yes, 5 NO, 9 abstain.

 Whether or not Israel has nuclear capabilities is not known, but the illusion is that they do.  Only this thought is keeping Arab nations at bay.  Israel is a teeny country that has lost 80% of her promised land to Arabs right off the bat, made up of only 7.7 million; 6 million Jews and 1.7 million Arabs and a few Christians against the 2nd largest religion  made up of Arabs  that run into the billions.  Israel's closest neighbor, of which has had a peace pact signed by Sadat, has about 91 million in their country.  Syria has about 23 million, Jordan about 6 million, Lebanon has over 4 million, and these are the closest ones.

Other points brought up in the committees that condemn Israel.  

 Permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural  resources.
    Accusing Israel of exploitation  of the natural resources of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and other Arab territories occupied by Israel since 1967.  Vote of 162 Yes, 5 No, 9 Abstain.

  (Did Israel bomb missiles meant to hit Israel and get the tanks in the act?  How insane to store missiles by oil tanks)  (They didn't mention that the Palestinians never pay for their electric bill and are constantly in arrears.).  

 The right of the Palestinian people to self-determination-so the wall constructed by Israel, the occupying power, in the occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, along with measures previously taken, severely impedes the right of the Palestinian people to self determination.
(Never mind why the wall was necessary in that terrorists would enter into Israel and murder civilians and this was the only thing they could do to impede these results of death to Israelis).

 Assistance to Palestinian refugees, concern for them under occupation, including with regard to their safety, well-being and socioeconomic living conditions, displaced as a result of June 1967, and subsequent hostilities to return to their homes or former places of residence in their territories occupied by Israel since 1967.  Refugee camps in Gaza Strip as a result of continuing prolonged Israeli closures...and socioeconomic conditions in there.... rights about the Palestinian properties and their revenues in thinking of equity and justice, that policies and practices of Israel that violate human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arabs of the occupied territories, demands that Israel accept the Geneva Convention in Occupied Palestinian Territory including East Jerusalem, etc. occupied since 1967, that Israeli settlements and in the Golan are illegal and an obstacle to peace and economic and social development; violation of human rights, that Israel has imposed its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the Golan and demand that Israel rescind forthwith its decision. ..... women and children affected by living in occupied territory.  ...

( I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at this unbelievable accusation of the attackers of all the counties involved attacking  Israel in 1967 including the Palestinians.) It's the murderers suing the murder victim for causing them to have to get lawyers and pay for court expense and for losing their jobs because they tried to murder.  Looking at the UN's decisions, I've decided that crime certainly does pay.  They are like the children who murdered their parents and then cry because now they are orphans.  )

 UN is proclaiming 2014 the International Year or Solidarity with the Palestinian People; raising international awareness,  (Now isn't this going to be a fun year!)

Reiterates its determination that any actions taken by Israel to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on "the Holy City of Jerusalem are illegal and therefore null and void and have no validity whatsoever, and calls upon Israel to immediately cease all such illegal and unilateral measures.  (Do they remember that Jerusalem is the Jewish Holy City and that we  share it with all the religions under Israel's governorship?) (Do they realize that Jerusalem is now one united city doing very well and will not be divided again? or would South Korea like to give some more land back to North Korea?  How about dividing Washington DC and giving half to China., or of course-we could get California and Arizona to be given back to Mexico.  They'd like that.)  No, Israel has rights to East Jerusalem.  The whole city is what we have prayed for 2,000 years to return to.  We lost it in 70 CE to the Romans and never again shall we allow one iota to be under another's hand again.)  I don't care how much the Palestinians covet what isn't theirs in the first place.  Get over it!

   They want the Golan to be given back to Syria.  (Of course, they are thwarted in bombing Israel  from there now).

"UN chief Ban Ki-moon has rejected the criticism by a UN interpreter caught on an open microphone, saying through a spokesman that he “respects the right of [UN] member states” to adopt resolutions against Israel, which “need to be upheld by all countries.” But given that Ban himself has firmly criticized the singling out of Israel by UN bodies such as the Human Rights Council.   UN Watch expressed disappointment at the secretary-general's failure to support the UN interpreter’s virtually identical, candid and entirely correct observations."  The interpreter was heard to say accidentally that wasn't 6 a little too much for one country such as Israel?  

The United States delegate was the only one to speak up for Israel.  "Speaking after the votes, the representative of United States said that his country remained deeply troubled by the repetitive and disproportionate number of one-sided Assembly resolutions condemning Israel.  Only four other resolutions had been critical of other Member States.  All parties to the tragic conflict had a responsibility for ending it, and the United States was disappointed that the Assembly continued to single out Israel.  The United States urged a halt to one-sided actions that would disrupt or distract from the process.  Continued support for biased resolutions complicated efforts to reach a just and lasting peace.  Furthermore, the systematic bias and distortion of the conflict conveyed by the resolutions damaged United Nations’ credibility."

Insanity of the United Nations

Iran has been placed in the craziest of positions in the UN.  On Tuesday, the day Netanyahu warned the General Assembly about Iran, member representatives of the world elected Iran to a job whose duties are to relay information and reports about disarmament and armament activities between the committee and the General Assembly!  This is to be the head of the "UN Disarmament Commission.  

This is the former position filled by Norway's diplomat, Knut Langeland.  The first committee on disarmament and international security is made up of all 193 member states.  It considers all matters connected to the topic and they are to seek out solutions to these problems.  They are then to draft solutions that will be debated later in the General Assembly but they have no power to pass resolutions.  One gets the position by applying for it which Iran did on July 30th.

Ron Prosor, Israeli Ambassador to the UN, said that if Iran had this post it would be like "inviting Assad, the Syrian dictator responsible for the death of 100,000 of his own people, to be head of the population census bureau."  His job would be to count people after killing so many.  The Americans of the American Jewish Committee said they were "appalled" at the election.  Why?  This is typical of the UN.  This is the way they have been operating.  It is not the first reward for misbehaving in the UN.

 Look who the rapporteur has been to oversee the Palestinian Arabs' situation in Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem since 1967's war against Israel, Richard Falk, who started serving in 2008 and won't be stepping down until 2014.  He is the worst person to be the rapporteur being he is constantly against Israel.  The worst part is that he is a self-hating Jew, which makes it even more unrealistic to be in this position.  A person with obvious psychological problems of disliking his own people is not able and has not been demonstrating any even-handedness in judging any sort of situation.  But oh, what a darling for Israel's enemies who wish to boot all Jews out of the Middle East.  He's been so obviously disgusting that "he has been criticized by U.S. ambassador, Susan Rice, for recommending a boycott of companies that profit from Israeli settlements, and by Secretary-General of the  United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, for suggesting there had been a cover-up of the 9/11 attacks.

The anti-Defamation League, an American Jewish group who is a watch-dog in such matters of anti-Semitic activities, is also alarmed by this electing Iran into such a sensitive position.  Their executive director, Abraham H. Foxman, said that this was the height of hypocrisy and that it was simply unbelievable.  The American Jewish Committee's executive director, David Harris, also commented that it is a reward for misbehavior and is a tragic stain on the UN.  He doesn't think that this should stop such countries as Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the US from standing firm in negotiations to ensure that Iran comes clean on its nuclear program.  Really?  Who was just elected as the watchdog?  The results will now go through Iran!  Who's there to stop him?  

How did Iran take Netanyahu's speech that warned the world of their past activities that are leading to having a nuclear A bomb to be used on Israel?  Of course the Islamic Republic News Agency called it baseless.  Iran is head of the Non-Aligned Movement for the term of 2012 to 2015.   Who is the head of this group?  Why, President Hassan Rouhani, of course.  He has called for a Middle East to be free of weapons of mass destruction, saying that while his country has been churning out the necessary ingredients for such a thing 24/7.

 He then said with a straight face that Iran rejects the development, possession or use of nuclear weapons.  He said that because he followed that lie up with slamming Israel for being the only country in the region to have such weapons and for not acceding to the Non-Proliferation Treaty.  Sure, Iran has signed it, but the document was found to be in noncompliance.  What good is it?  With such a hidden agenda of theirs, it means less than the paper it was printed on.  

The facts are that Iran has threatened Israel with total destruction.  Israel hasn't threatened anyone.  They show their force when they are attacked with their own weapons minus the use of any A bomb.  Like we say about hot dogs; we answer to a higher power.  That is our weapon.  

The philosophy of such a group of people allows lying in order to achieve their means.  This is quite different from most liars who do it to wiggle out of an embarrassing situation.  They do it on purpose in a planned manner to go from point A to point B, and it doesn't bother them to do so at all.  Lying under any circumstance is not ethical,  but doing it in this manner really deserves more points in nastiness.  They are not displaying any conscience. So without cracking a smile, Tehran says it is ready for a "sincere participation in nuclear negotiations."  

What is criminal is how the UN has been hijacked from such high ethical standards that it once held to this low point devoid of any moral goodness or feeling of obligation to do right among its participants.  The world stands threatened by an off the wall country and they don't even have the sense to understand that they are now standing on the precipice and are about to be pushed off the mountain.

Rouhani's Sweet Talk at UN

"Iran is on course to develop a nuclear bomb within six months and time has run out for further negotiations, a senior Israeli minister said."  Israel feels that "unless it faced a credible threat of U.S. military action, it would not stop its nuclear activities."  

The so-called new "moderate" Iranian President, Rouhani,  told the UN today that they pose "absolutely no threat to the world or the region."  To prove this he said that his country was willing to hold time-bound talks on its nuclear program.  More talks are just a stalling process for his country to continue progress.   It was emphasized that he wanted everyone to recognize Iran's right to enrich uranium and that their nuclear program is a peaceful one.  How about that?

Only about 6 days ago NBC was told they Iran will never build nuclear weapons. To show their good faith, they have freed 11 political prisoners including Mohsen Amenzadeh, a politician and the prominent human rights lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh.  Their case is being well orchestrated, evidently.

Then he had to get his nasty digs in about Israel by talking about Palestine, saying it is under occupation.  He went on claiming that their basic rights were being violated and that they were deprived of the right of return to their homeland.

Those of us who know the history of the Arabs that are called Palestinians, something Jews were also called who were living in  the land that was to be the Jewish Homeland, as voted by the UN's former organization, the League of Nations,   know that there never was a country of Palestine.  It was just the name the Romans gave to the land when they conquered Jerusalem in 70 CE.  Rouhani knows that Israel was created by not only the League of Nations in the 20's but also by the UN on May 14, 1948.  The Palestinians  and evidently Iran continues to propagate this myth that there had been a Palestine country and that these Arabs have been tossed out of it.

Not so.  Most all the ancestors of the present day Palestinians were people who followed Jews in their building from 1880's on.  They came from all over the Middle East as they heard about the prospects of getting jobs with them.  Now they want to take over the country.  Time spent reading Joan Peters book, From Time Immemorial would enlighten Rouhani.  Peters went to the actual original records to get her information about the "Palestinians."

If the next 9 months of meetings between Israeli and Palestinian represenatives stay on course, there will be no such thing as their right of return.  They weren't on the land designated to be a state of Palestine in the first place.  Some were here, but much fewer in number, and they left because of the Arab attack of 1948, minutes after Israel was pronounced a new state.  They left because their leaders told them that they were taking over this new state of Israel and when the attack was over, they could move back in and even take over the Jews' homes.  Weren't they surprised to find that the ones who won were the Jews.  So what did these brilliant Arab leaders do?  Tell their people to remain in refugee camps set up for them.  And there they have been for the last 65 years, pawns of their leaders led to think that they are destroying Israel this way.

It's a good thing that the Israeli delegation at the UN walked out just before Rouhani spoke.  They would be been revolted at hearing this vision of history.  Just like Amadinejad's former speeches, the Iranians take these speaking opportunities to vilify Israel.  Only last week Rouhani refused to recognize that the Holocaust actually happened.  I wonder what material he calls historic for his research?

President Obama has a different tactic.  He has reached out to Rouhani at the meeting and let the members know that he is testing the diplomatic path.  He seems to believe this could be a step down a different path than taken by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and that they are interested in reaching their potential in commerce and culture, science and education.  He recognized before all that the status quo will only deepen Iran's isolation.  The status quo has been  since 1995, that the United States has had an embargo on trade with Iran. According to a 2013 BBC World Service Poll, 5% of Americans view Iranian influence positively, with 87% expressing a negative view, the most unfavorable perception of Iran in the world.  Behind the scenes Obama has told Netanyhu that he isn't being fooled by these words.  He said that actions will speak louder.  Yes, they certainly do speak louder than promised words.  

Back in 2002, President Bush said that Iran was the axis of evil.  He saw that the proliferation of long-range missiles developed by Iran  constituted terrorism and threatened the United States.  Since then, Iran has come into nuclear material and has been working day and night frantically to manufacture what most people see as nuclear weapons.  This come from all the threats they have made on the USA and Israel.  Since Israel is standing to receive the greats threats being much closer, the USA had promised to stand by them and not allow the production to reach this point.  Was that like the Syrians who were not to reach the red line?  They've already crossed that one.  Now Syria's Assad has much more time to move his chemical arsenal over to Lebanon which has been seen on the radar.  

Israel has been greatly threatened by Iran.  "President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and his demand for "the regime occupying Jerusalem" to "vanish from the page of time", has led Israelis to fear an eventual attack from Iran."  The attitude comes from the religious leader, the Ayatollah.  A change in the presidency has not altered that, only the manner of the presentation of a new speaker. Now, instead of saying that Israel is a cancer and must be removed, Rouhani is preaching "tolerance."   Netanyhu will be at meetings on September 30 and November 1st.  No doubt he will address the Iranian developments.

Arabs Wonder About Israel and Nuclear Energy

                       Iran working madly to complete goal of possible atomic weaponry

The Arabs are after Israel again since giving her a break for two years about whether or not she has any alleged nuclear arsenal. Israel established its own IAEC on June 13, 1952.  The Arabs have been guessing about their procurement ever since, possibly. It is one of four nuclear-armed countries not recognized as a Nuclear Weapons State by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.   "Israel has never officially admitted to having nuclear weapons, instead repeating over the years that it would not be the first country to "introduce" nuclear weapons to the Middle East, leaving ambiguity as to whether it means it will not create, will not disclose, will not make first use of the weapons or possibly some other interpretation of the phrase." This is called nuclear ambiguity, which is their policy.  India, Pakistan and North Korea are not among the nations in the treaty, either.

They, of all people, are now using this as an excuse to blame Israel’s silence about it as a threat to Middle East peace.  Iran is a state that sponsors terrorists.  They are the ones who the world knows are building atomic energy and has already threatened Israel with it.

This Arab push was the main subject of their recent annual meetings of the 159-nation International Atomic Energy Agency, where usually this vote against Israel is voted down by Israel’s allies.  During 2011 and 2012 the vote was suspended which the Arabs took as a concession which kept their hopes alive on banning weapons of mass destruction from the Middle East.   That was co-sponsored by the US, Russia and Britain which was called off late last year.

Do they raise a row about Iran working madly to achieve their nuclear goals?  Not a word.  It is Iran who threatens Israel through all the mass media.  Israel has not threatened anyone.  This thought is probably one thing that keeps them from attacking again.  There should always be a question in their minds as to whether or not Israel has such weapons and if she would use them.
                                                                     

So far, this teeny country of 8,000 square miles and about 7.6 million people have been able to stave off and win all the wars that have been made against her from 1947-8 War of Independence, 1956 Sinai War, 1967 Six Day War, and 1973 Yom Kippur War.   I was there during the 1982 war in Lebanon where the Palestinians had Kiryat Shimona citizens pinned down in a bomb shelter for days on end.  Evidently they didn't bother to think about Israel's potential nuclear power when they attacked her during these past wars.

There is one state in this world who threatens us all with atomic nuclear weaponry capabilities, and that's Iran.  No doubt the first on the list to be hit would be Israel and secondly would be the USA.  Not being forgotten would be all of those that are Iran's competitors, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Middle East who do not comply to Iran's wishes.  So what do these wise ones do?  Join Iran in picking on Israel.

Israel is most worried about Iran after receiving threat after threat from them.  They are working very fast to complete their goal, and Netanyahu feels that they will reach it within a few weeks.  This must have something to do with the Arabs reversing their attitude in the UN and picking on Israel to be under the microscope.  "In 2005, Iran made its first advance in the production of enriched uranium and subsequently established a secret nuclear research center to train scientists in all aspects of atomic technology.

John Bolton, former US Ambassador to the UN says that Israel should have attacked the Iranian reactors yesterday.  The more they wait the more in danger they are.  We remember Prime Minister Netanyahu standing before the UN warning them with a graph about the red line that Iran was nearing every day.  Sanctions have not been working.  Now the world should delve into Israel's arsenal according to the Arabs; not Iran.  Huh?  Really?

All About Israel's Administered Areas From Six-Day War

  We Jews Do Not Enter Area A.  There is no similar sign on the other side for B and C.

Territories that were occupied by Israel in the course of the Six-Day War against Israel came about when the Israel Defense forces miraculously defeated the massed Arab armies which menaced Israel's frontiers.  There are 4 administrated areas.

1. Judea and Samaria (West Bank) of the Jordan.  This territory had been until 1948 part of the British Mandate of Palestine.  Between 1948 and 1967 it was ruled by Jordan, which annexed it in 1950.  Since Judea and Samaria were never officially annexed by the Israeli government, the IDF Civil Administration has jurisdiction over the districts today.

2. The Gaza Strip had also been, until 1948, part of the British Mandate of Palestine.  Between 1948 and 1967 (with a short interruption in 1956-7), following the Sinai War, it was administered by an Egyptian Military Government.  It was not annexed by Egypt. Israel left completely in 2005 but keeps control of shipping lanes to keep out arms to be used against her.  .

3. The Sinai Desert was, until 1967, under Egyptian administration. It was given back to Egypt in return for peace agreement in March 1979 by Sadat with Begin.  .

4. The Golan Heights were, until 1967, under Syrian administration.  Since the 67 War, the Golan has officially been incorporated as parts of Israel.

The status of the administered areas had not changed from June 1967 to 1973.  Pending a peace settlement in which the borders between Israel and its neighbors will be decided, it is that of territories occupied during a war.  Israel had not annexed any part of the areas.  East Jerusalem was reunified in June 1967 with West Jerusalem.

Population: By July 1972, almost a million Arabs lived in the administered areas.
640,600 of them in Judea and Samaria (2,270 sq miles)
388,600 of them in the Gaza Strip and North Sinai (140 sq. miles)
   8,000 of them in the Golan Heights (500 sq miles)

The population of the areas is predominantly Muslim.  The smaller Christian communities of Greek Orthodox and Latins are mainly in Ramallah, Bethlehem and Beit Jala.  In the Golan Heights there are Druzes.

Until a peace settlement, which will determine the political future of the areas, Israel's policy tries to achieve the objectives of co-existence and cooperation between the Arabs of the areas and Israelis.  It is trying to enable the people to live normal lives  and to maintain security to all alike.  During the 1970's, Judea, Samaria and Gaza were the 4th fastest growing economy in the world-ahead of such places as Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea, and substantially ahead of Israel itself. (Historian Efrain Karsh).  Israel had been working hard to improve their lot.  

Local Authorities include 23 municipalities and 31 rural councils in Judea and Samaria.  Elections were held in 1972 in accordance with Jordanian law.  75% of voter participation caused about half the mayors to be replaced by new ones.   There were 3 municipalities and 7 rural councils in the Gaza Strip and North Sinai.  Liason officers of the Israel Ministry of the Interior approved their budgets, arranged to lend them funds at low interest, and audited their finances and administration.

Israeli Living in Administered Areas:  Between June 1967 and December 1972, Israel had established 14 towns in the Golan, 6 in Judea and Samaria, 7 in Gaza and North Sinai and 5 in East and South Sinai.  by 1977 there were 76 Jewish communities built in the Territories on undeveloped land.
 There are 3 different types:

1. Nahal villages:  Established by the IDF.  Nahal is a corps which combines military training with farm work.  Members become farmers when service ends.  The villages are military points, like those held by any other unit of the IDF.

2. Civilian villages:  Established in areas which Israel hopes may be assigned to its jurisdiction by peace treaties.  Israel knows where borders need to be for security.  These positions are not conditions and that in peace talks, everything will be negotiable.

3. Communities: Established where political future is not covered  with the assumption that should the area revert to Arab sovereignty under a treaty of peace, it should be allowed to continue to live in it just as Arab communities live in Israel..  We are talking about our ancient history of Judea and Samaria, established by King David and his son, King Solomon of which this land contains the Jewish holy shrines in areas beyond the bounds of pre-1967 Israel.  No Israeli would relinquish large parts of the administered area or accept any arrangement that banned Jews from living in places which are of religious and historical significance.

By 1977, some Israelis, such as the survivors of the Gush Etzion block, returned to rebuild Jewish communities that Arab forces had captured and destroyed in the 1948 war.  After 1977, 74 additional communities were built in the Territories on unallocated government land.  By 2005, the 150 communities included about 200,000 Israelis living on less than 2% of the land of Judea and Samaria.   80% of the people here live in communities close to the Green Line, currently consisting of suburbs of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.  The Green Line (a pre-1967 boundary) is not an internationally recognized border.  It is an armistice line, marking positions held by Israeli and Arab troops when the final truce was called at the end of the 1948 War.  the Green Line remained an armistice line because Arab leaders refused to negotiate to set final border lines.  The Oslo Accords called for Israelis and Palestinians to negotiate for a final border between the State of Israel and a future Palestinian state.  To date, these negotiations haven't resolved outstanding issues to the satisfaction of both parties.

Disputed Territories:  The communities that Israel built in Gaza and Judea and Samaria were in undeveloped, uninhabited areas and are entirely legal.  Palestinians have legitimate claims to sovereignty over some of the land..  Many are longtime inhabitants who feel they have been deprived of political rights and self-determination.  Israel disputes their territorial claims and Israel also has strong claims to the land.  Therefore, these lands are referred to as disputed territories.  Israel has 3 types of claims:

1. Legal claims:  The British Mandate 1920-1948.  this was the last legal sovereign authority for the Territories.  Jordan and Egypt illegally held them between 1948 to 1967.  They remain unallocated portions of the British Mandate since no government formally replaced the mandate's jurisdiction.  The guidelines called for Jews to settle the area on what was called, The Jewish Homeland as per League of Nations.  the Jews' right to live on the land is a "legal right assured by treaty and specifically protected by Article 80 of the UN charter.  ...the Jewish right of settlement in the area is equivalent in every way to the right of existing Palestinian population to live there.  (Eugene Rostow, former US under Secretary of State, 1990).

2. Historical claims:  Judea and Samaria (West Bank) were the cradle of Jewish civilization since the 2nd millenium BCE and had a continuous Jewish presence until the 1948 War when Jewish inhabitants were killed and about 10,000 were expelled by the Jordanians.

3. Security-related claims:  Arab states had repeatedly launched attacks against Israel from the Territories' strategic locations and UN Resolution 242 envisioned bilateral negotiations that would give Israel more secure borders and lead to greater regional stability.  Until 1988, the PLO officially continued to call for a Palestinian state to replace Israel, not for a separate state that would exist alongside it.  Today Abbas offers recognition if Israel takes his steps that would allow the destruction of the state as they continue to call for the destruction of the state!

Ending Occupation:   From 1993 to 2007, Israel gradually ended the "Occupation."  when the Oslo peace process began in 1993, Israel began ending its military administration as it turned civil governance of the Palestinian population over to their elected government.  In 1994 Israel began turning the administration over to the PA.  However, radical Palestinian groups call all of Israel "Occupied Territory."  Since 2005, Israel uprooted Jewish communities from Gaza.  Israel's goal was to help create a self-governing Palestinian state in all of Gaza and most of Judea and Samaria, incorporating land where 98% of Palestinians live.

Since 1993, the regions have been divided into areas A, B, and C.  Area A was assigned to the Palestinian Authority where most of the Arab residents live. According to many estimates, 1.5 million Arabs live in the region.  Accurate statistics have been difficult to obtain with claims that Arab demographics have been artificially inflated.   Area B is under joint control and has large tracts of barren land.  Israel has full control of Area C where most of the over 340,000 Jewish residents live.

All the while, Israel's security needs remain urgent.  In Gaza, the Hamas-led Palestinian government continues to call for Israel's destruction and even after the recent cease fire, have fired rockets, missiles and mortars into southern Israel.   Israel has been repeatedly attacked from Palestinian and Lebanese territories.  Hamas has ties with Iran, Syria and Hezbollah and has forged ties with al Qaeda.  They all call for Israel's destruction.  

Today an even bigger threat looms over Israel with Iran getting atomic capabilities and their threat to destroy Israel.  Syria, though engaged in a 2 year old civil war and has killed almost or more than 80,000 of their own people, are now threatening Israel with missiles bought from Russia.  Egypt is falling apart since putting in a Muslim Brotherhood leader, Morsi.  Jordan is straining with taking in Syria's refugees and a large Palestinian citizen population.  The Middle East is heating up along with the weather.

Kerry Pushing Turkey and Israel Towards Peace

Yesterday Secretary of State John Kerry told Turkey's leaders that it was vital for peace that they and Israel get their diplomatic relationship "back on track."  Kerry thinks that Turkey could be "an important contributor" to peace, but Yuval Steinitz, Israel's minister of international relations, thinks this is a "poor idea."

"On Feb. 28 Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at an international conference in Vienna said that Zionism was a “crime against humanity” like fascism, which triggered reaction in Israel and among the Israeli lobby in the U.S. and Europe. The same day U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said during a joint press conference with his Turkish host,  Ahmet Davutoglu,   that the U.S. and Turkey do not share the same views on Israel.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogans of Turkey did visit Israel in 2005 and was a peace negotiator.  Events leading up to the present have not been good for these two countries.  The 2001 formed Turkish government, AKP (Justice and Development Party)  has moved towards the Muslim Brotherhood ideals more than originally, meaning that they have become more aggressive towards Israel.  In fact, many countries of the Middle East have become more Muslim and less secular.    Turkey  remains  pro-West, siding with Saudi Arabia, USA and Qatar on the Syrian problem by siding with the rebels against the Syrian government.  Religiously, compared to the rest of the Muslim world, they are called moderates.

In 1949 Turkey was the first country to recognize Israel.  Our relationship fell during the 2008-2009 Gaza War.  By May 31, 2010 a Turkish group  decided to be a part of a flotilla  of 663 people from 37 nations of pro-Palestinian activists sponsored by the "Free Gaza Movement" to bring supplies to Gaza. Six ships made up the flotilla. Five of the ships allowed boarding and were just passive resisters.  Israel had already put out word that they would board all ships to check and make sure that weapons and ammunition was not being brought to Gaza. The ships were told to go to the port of Ashdod for inspection, but this was ignored by the Marmara.   The Mavi Marmara with Turkish activists on board had the goal to break the Israel-Egyptian blockade of the Gaza Strip.  Israel had to board from a helicopter as it was such a large ship but just used speedboats for smaller ones.    Israel had 13 naval commandos board the Marmara and met with violent resistance from 40 activists armed with iron bars and knives.  10 of the Israelis were wounded, one seriously, while 9 activists were killed.  Eight of them were Turkish nationals and one was a Turkish- American.  Others were wounded.

"The Israeli military later said the soldiers were not expecting trouble and had paintball guns as their primary weapons while handguns were only for an emergency. Two activists grabbed the handguns away from soldiers and shot two of them, the military said at the time. Both activists were then shot and killed."

"A United Nations report, after analysis of both Turkey and Israeli national investigations, concluded that the Israeli blockade was legal, but that Israel army used excessive force in this incident by firing stun and smoke grenades from the Israeli army's speed boats and helicopters before boarding into flotilla and conducted live fire rounds from the helicopters before or after boarding, though the flotilla was still in international waters.   The report also mentioned "serious questions about the conduct, true nature and objectives of the flotilla organizers, particularly IHH.-Turkey's Marmara."

Erdogan took the side of the pro-Palestinian activists on the Marmara and called this "state terrorism" and would lead to irreparable consequences in bilateral relations.  By September 2, 2011, Turkey's diplomatic ties with Israel were downgraded and they suspended military co-operation after the UN report was released.  Israel's comment was that "Israel hopes to find a way to overcome the dispute and will continue to work towards this goal.  Turkey demanded an Israeli apology and compensation over this.  Israel refused to give one.  Turkey was the partner in this flotilla as the organizers were the Turkish Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief. (İHH)  It is known that much of their money goes to Palestinian terrorists.  One avenue of that is the Union of Good.

Along came Kerry right after becoming Secretary of State and the Obama March visit in Israel.  Israel apologized.  An apology from Turkey has not been heard or suggested.

Israeli and Palestinian officials were hostile Sunday to the idea of a Turkish role in peace talks.  US and Turkish officials had differences of opinion about how to proceed.  Turkey is demanding that Israel lift its embargo on Gaza.  Erdogan plans to visit Gaza soon.  Turkey is suing the Israeli military on top of everything.

When all Israelis moved out of Gaza in 2005 for peace between Israel and Hamas Palestinians, southern Israel was shelled by thousands of mortars, rockets and missiles.  This actually affected over a million of Israel's population.  A cease fire came about at the end of 2012, but has since been broken just recently.  Israel is not occupying Gaza, but has the right to keep out weaponry as it is used on its citizens.  Hamas has a charter that says their goal is to destroy Israel.

Besides the apology, "Israel has promised to compensate the bereaved or hurt and agreed to ease a six-year blockade on Gaza.   Erdogan said these gestures met his conditions for normalizing relations with its erstwhile ally. However,  Turkey holds onto lawsuits against the soldiers.  They are filed against 4 of Israel's most senior retired commanders and if they go through would get life sentences.  Israel wants these dropped.  "Israel has called this a politically motivated "show trial."  One of the wounded on the Marmara, Cogas, commented " "Unless these soldiers are punished and the blockade is lifted, we won't accept compensation."

In my opinion, if the Marmara hadn't sided with Palestinian terrorists who shell Israeli civilians  constantly and broke the law with their flotilla, they wouldn't have had any dead or wounded.  When you play with fire, you get hurt.  This has not been the way to react to Israel's pain and suffering if they were allies.  It was not Israel's goal to kill or harm anyone, but when they were physically attacked, they had to react to defend their own lives.  Now all these demands are for one purpose only; to show that they have power in the Middle East and can bend Israel to their will.  Everyone is vying to be the most powerful; Egypt, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkey.  This would be a coup for Turkey, a country with 73,722,988, who are 99% Sunni Muslims to hold over Israel's 7.4 million of which  6 million are Jews.

WHY ISRAEL HAS TO IGNORE UN; Stacked Against Israel By The Misinformed

Only about 20 years old and the UN became permeated with anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist reasoning.  The atmosphere in the early 1970's  became ugly by the outlandish statements from some of the influential and wealthy UN membership about Jews.  After all, they just won a Six Day War when all the Arab nations attacked her to wipe her off the map, and they turned around and won the war.  They could not understand how all the attacks that had been thrown at these Jews could be thwarted.  Other tactics were then used, and used in the UN.  This still continues.

In 1974 the General Assembly invited Yasir Arafat to speak.  He did with a holster on his hip.  He spoke of carrying a gun and an olive branch.  His gun was just outside the hall.  The PLO cited a 1974 UN resolution condemning Israel as justification for setting off a bomb in Jerusalem.

Late 1974 Soviet and Arab states  had Assembly approve Resolution 3379, slandering Zionism by branding it as a form of racism.  US Ambassador Daniell Moynihan called this resolution an obscene act.  Israeli Ambassador Chaim Herzog said "it was based on hatred of Jews, falsehood and arrogance".  It was as if Hitler was enforcing this resolution.


1975 was when the Assembly gave the PLO permanent representative status.  this meant they could open an office in midtown Manhattan.  The PLO established "Committee on the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.  The panel was part of the PLO propaganda apparatus and issued stamps, organized meetings, prepared films and drafted resolutions in support of Palestinian "rights."

1976 The committee wanted "full implementation of the inalienable rights of the Palestinians including their return to the Israeli part of Palestine (western where Tel Aviv is).  It also said that November 29th be declared an International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People which the UN has observed with anti-Israel speeches, films, exhibits.  A special unit on Palestine was established as part of the UN Secretariat.


Libyan UN Representative Ali Treiki said, " Is it not the Jews who are exploiting the American people and trying to debase them?"  " On  December 8,  1983, Treki was rebuked by the Secretary  General of the United Nations after a speech before the global body in which he urged its members to
Look around New York. He had declared,  "Who are the owners of pornographic film operations and houses?  Is it not the Jews who are exploiting the American people and trying to debase them? If we succeed in eliminating that entity, we shall by the same token save the American and European peoples." .  

Whatever gave him such a crazy idea as this?   Now he wants to eliminate all Jews?  Again, this is the holdover of Nazi beliefs.   The barely Jewish 2% of American population could exploit the other 98%?  For all these years, Jews in America suffered from a lot of anti-Semitism, especially before WWII.  There were limits on Jews accepted into colleges, and there was a non-acceptance into country clubs, organizations, etc.  Jews were turned down in job hiring.  We were at the other end of the spectrum as far as having rights.  That's why we understood the trials the Blacks were going through and hooked up to help them in the 60's when they were having a struggle for rights.

Saudi Arabian delegate Marouf al Dawalibi said in 1984 to the UN Human Rights commission conference on religious tolerance, "The Talmud (discussions of Jewish Law) says that if a Jew does not drink every year the blood of a non-Jewish man, he will be damned for eternity."   Not only is this an out and out rotten lie, one knows that this Muslim never read the Jewish book, the Talmud by his very utterance.  This stems from a medieval  slanderous accusation from European peasants about Jews.  Muslims should know that Jews do not eat blood.  This means they don't even want a rare steak or rare hamburger.  Part of koshering meat is to remove all blood.  G-d forbid if we injest any blood!  People who keep saying this are idiots who know nothing about Jews.  This kosher law comes from Moses who gave us this law in about 1300 BCE.

The UN has come out with more anti-Israel resolutions than for any other country.  It gets all the attention, but it's all negative.  Once on December 16,  1991 they did something for Israel, and that was to repeal the resolution 3379 libelling Zionism. No Arab state voted with the majority.   (There were 13 abstentions and 17 delegations absent or not voting) .  Then they sped up their biases after that.  In less than a week before repealing the measure, the General Assembly approved 4 new one-sided resolutions.

1. December 11, 1991, voted 104-2 calling for a UN sponsored peace conference including the PLO.
2. December 11, 1991, voted 142-2 to condemn Israeli behavior toward Palestinian in the territories.
3. December 16, 1991, repealed Zionism measure-voted 152-1, USA abstained, force Israel to rescind a Knesset resolution declaring Jerusalem was its capital.
4. December 16, 1991, demanding Israel's withdrawal from "occupied territories" including Jerusalem, the right of return for Palestinians, denounced Israeli administration of the Golan Heights.

The repeal in 1991 was a marred one.  13 of the 19 Arab countries, including those involved in negotiations with Israel, which were Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, voted to retain the resolution of course, along with Saudi Arabia.  6 others, including Egypt, were absent from the voting.  No Arab country voted for the repeal.  The PLO denounced the vote and the US role.

The Arabs voted again to impugn the very birthright of Israel, the New York Times wrote.  "That even now most Arab states cling to a demeaning and vicious doctrine mars an otherwise belated triumph for sense and conscience." 

1991 UN sponsored the 8th "North American NGO "non governmental organization" Symposium on the Question of Palestine."  They brought out a parade of luminaries who were all anti-Semitic causing ad nauseam for any people in the audience who felt differently.  The program  brought up every anti-Israel cannard imaginable.  This was written description  by an observer who attended.  

Note that never, not once, has the Security Council ever expressed concern over the murder of Jews.  This "august group" spends their time and the USA money mugging Jews instead of having any political debate or put out any effort to solve problems said former UN Ambassador Jeane Kirpatrick, though I'm paraphrasing.  

"Secretaries General Kofi Annan and Ban Ki Moon, former president of the council Doru Costea,  the European Union,  Canada and the United States have accused the council of focusing disproportionately on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.  The United States boycotted the Council during the George W. Bush administration, but reversed its position on it during the Obama administration.  Beginning in 2009 however, with the United States taking a leading role in the organization, American commentators began to argue that the HRC (Human Rights Council) was becoming increasingly relevant."


Today's Security Council has 15 members.  5 are permanent and are: China, France, Russia, UK and USA.      

The 10 others, who must be elected for a 2 year term,  include Azerbaijan, 26th largest Shi'a Muslim state; Morocco, 10th largest Sunni/Sufi Muslim state, and Pakistan, 2nd largest Sunni/Shi'a Muslim state.  There are 48 Muslim states in the world and 1 Jewish state.  This is not counting Palestine, which will make 49.  Israel has never been elected to the Security Council.


2013  The UN is not playing the role it should to solve the Arab-Israeli dispute because of the bias of the members involved.  They can't see the trees for the forest.  Nothing has changed in the Arab viewpoint.  It's only become worse as the Muslim Brotherhood has gained in power in Egypt  along with Qatar who houses Qaradowi, proponent of killing all Jews and Al-Jazeera, station broadcasting hatred for Jews.

  The latest HRC meeting on March 22, 2013 came up with more Arab-backed resolutions against Israel.  That's all they can think of, evidently.  47 nations voted against Israel not including the USA.  They brought up criticism against Israel's construction in Judea-Samaria, and east Jerusalem that has been in Israel's hands since 1967.  They also threw in libel of abuses against citizens, which is as weird a slander as the blood libels of the Middle Ages.  Israel takes such pride in caring for its citizens, and look how the Arab countries treat theirs.  The whole Middle East is in an uproar with blood flowing from how they have treated their citizens.    It's pathetic.  Israel didn't bother to attend such an exhibit of anti-Semitism/anti-Israelism.  They are well aware of a bias that the Muslims all keep and their attitude of G-d forbid that they ever learn anything real about the Jews.  Oh no.  Israel has brought Democracy into their world which means freedom for its citizens; something these leaders are not about to approve.
