Washington Leaks Take On an NCIS Fiction-Like Story Line

NCIS is my favorite TV program.  It is a program starring the Naval Criminal Investigative Services that serves the US Navy and Marine Corps of killings to the troops while on base or even in the theater of operation, sometimes.  In the story we have the beautiful Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) who plays the Israeli special agent, daughter of  Eli David, Head of the National Intelligence Agency of Israel, or Mossad.  She seems to be on loan from Israel and is a very experienced agent.  She gets to see how the American program operates, or rather they get to see how skillful Israeli Mossad agents are. This is how Israel is putting trust into the USA and vice versa, and how they work together.   NCIS even plays in Egypt and Syria, it is so popular.  It's through this program that many foreigners are learning English.

How about a theme for their program where the Israelis have to prevent sophisticated weapons such as missiles from falling into the hands of Lebanese terror groups like Hizbullah, who have joined President Bashar al-Assad in his war against half of his people in Syria. It is NCIS's job to find out where the leaks are coming from about Israeli strikes on arsenals of missiles.  Syria would also use them in a moment on Israel.   Israel strikes a warehouse in Syria that doesn't destroy all of the Russian-made anti-ship cruise missiles that were its target.  They wonder how they could have missed them all.  They knew their information was accurate.  These missiles are a threat to both American and Israeli ships.  Israel did a service in knocking them out for both countries.  Since sailor's lives in the USA navy are now at risk, the NCIS squad is called into finding the information leak.

It comes out that the Syrian rebels' intelligence network had identified newly supplied Russian Yakhont missiles  being stored in the depots that were hit and that "foreign forces" had destroyed the missiles in Latakia, hinting that the foreigners were Israelis.

American intelligence analysts tell the reporters that while the warehouse was destroyed, at least some of the missiles had been removed from their launchers and moved before the attack. The question was "why?" Who told them of the upcoming strike from the IAF?

Now the cover-up part of the story.  The Assad government was hiding the fact that the missiles had been missed and they did this by setting fire to launchers and vehicles at the site to give the impression that the strike had landed a decided blow.  This had been Israel's 4th airstrike to Syria, a country that has allowed over 100,000 of its citizens to die in their Civil War.

NCIS discover that leaks about the missiles and Israel's attempts to end them all has been  leaked into the mass media from the President of the USA himself.  He and his staff alone have been leaking details of the Israeli military operations against the armed forces of Bashar Assad of Syria.  The leaks include reporting Israeli air and naval strikes on advanced Iranian and Russian weapons that arrived in 2013.  Why?  The President of the USA believes that these strikes could result in regional war.

We can have Ziva uncover such leaks by dating one of the leakers.  She has her ways with men.  She uncovers their resentment in the US Intelligence community over Israeli assessments about Egypt, Iran and Syria.  She learns of the latest leak about the July 5th Israeli strike on a recent shipment of the P_800 Yakhont coastal defense system at Latakia.

It is the American diplomats that  tell her of the CIA leaking  all the information to the press.  That would be the nefarious CIA head who is Leroy Jethro Gibbs's (played by Mark Harmon) good CIA friend and could be Thomas Morrow (Alan Dale).  .  Now Israel will have to plan a 5th attack to get all the missiles.  We have Qassem Saadeddine of the Free Syrian Army's supreme Military Council telling that the their rebels' intelligence network had identified newly supplied Russian Yakhont missiles being stored in the depots that were hit but it is disclosed later about not getting all because of the leak, resulting in saving some of them.  .

Israel protests the US leaks and Ziva will be able to be a witness to it all.  Of course tension is increased with Damascus, who is starting to win their Civil War by killing more people.   Now the CIA and Mossad (Eli David) are at odds, leaving Ziva out in the cold.  The CIA director is a good friend of the American president.   One could say they are in cahoots.   As a last recourse, Israel gets backing from the US Congress and Ziva saves the day's episode. She then becomes a dual citizen of both Israel and the USA.
The last shocking detail, and my leak, is that this is all based on true facts which are just minus the NCIS characters.   Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction could ever dream up.

John Brennan and Al Qaeda Regarding Israel

What's happening to fight terrorism is causing questions about our government and how they believe in protecting our country.  My eyebrows are arching when I read that "it isn't unusual for our military and intelligence officials to visit Saudi Arabia and then leave it repeating the classic Saudi talking points about Islam." Our important officials and other American citizens are also spending more time in Qatar.  The same thing can be happening there as well.  Both places are small but wealthy Sunni countries with more than average influence on our government.  For instance, Qaradawi, a most important  religious Sunni leader,  lives in Qatar and has a death wish for all Jews and Israel.

1. Islam is a stable influence on the region.
2. Israel is a destabilizing influence.
                                                                                     

Muslims of Israel have rights 

My thought on this is that Israel is showing the other Muslims a democratic society and that the 1.4 million Arabs living in Israel are most likely better off than the ones in their country being it's the only democratic country in the region.  They even serve in the Knesset and have their own political parties.   But are our USA  government workers becoming brainwashed?  Are they swallowing this tripe of negativism towards Israel?
                                                                         

Take John Brennan, for instance.  He has developed links with the Muslim Brotherhood who I think is the cause of Egypt's downfall in the Arab Spring.  They had been outlawed by Sadat,  and now look at the trouble they've caused the whole neighborhood. They also have the charter with the top goals of destroying Israel.  I don't take this lightly.  Brennan has brought known leaders of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood into the government in advisory positions.  Hamas's charter is the same as the Brotherhood in that they also have as goal #1 to destroy Israel. Hamas and Fatah are at each other's throats constantly in fighting over power and leadership.  Hamas has been a terrible influence over Fatah in causing them to be terrorists.   These Muslims are advising our government on counter-terrorism strategy  in the War on Terror program.  Is that all?  To John, this War on Terror means only Al Qaeda.

There is even reliable evidence that Brennan has converted to Islam. Snopes says NO.    Would a man do that just to have an in with Muslims to gain information?  Is this expected in the CIA?  Or, if true, is it from the heart?  Does he now believe the hard line of wanting to get rid of Israel?  It used to be that Islam thought of Judaism in better terms than Christianity did but the tables have turned.  Muslim Reactionaries  are only concerned with fighting Israel.  They don't need a pat on the back for doing so which their religious leaders dole out. .  They need to see condemnation for doing so in order to become civil-minded. I  don't care what religion Brennan is, except I want to know where he stands concerning Israel, as what he would be in charge of concerns Israel's very life.  If he's been leading such a double life it's going to be hard to trust what he says, anyway.

Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda started up from reacting to the Soviet War in Afghanistan in August of 1988.  The group is Sunni Muslim and believe in global jihad and the strict Sharia Law.  They deal in suicide attacks and bombings.  This is the group responsible for our 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers, killing 3,000.  They also had done the 1998 US Embassy bombings and the 2002 Bali bombings.  They are listed as terrorists by everybody.   There have been allegations that the CIA had helped al Qaeda in their fight against the Russians.  Now these terrorists are  fighting us.

"Also, al-Qaeda is possibly using aircraft to transport drugs and weapons from South America to various unstable countries in West Africa. A Boeing 727 can carry up to 10 tons of cargo. The drugs eventually are smuggled to Europe for distribution and sale, and the weapons are used in conflicts in Africa and possibly elsewhere. Gunmen with links to al-Qaeda have been increasingly kidnapping some Europeans for ransom. The profits from the drug and weapon sales, and kidnappings can, in turn, fund more militant activities."

Two Picks by Obama Delayed: Hagel and Brennan

Hagel's nomination for Secretary of Defense has been held up for reasons other than his attitude towards Israel.  Everyone has a complaint about him.    One forgets he's a Republican, as only the Democrats are in favor of him. Republicans have challenged Hagel's past statements and votes on Israel, Iran, Iraq and nuclear weapons. .  The Republicans do want more information on September 11th's attack on Benghazi and what Obama was doing about it.

So is John Brennan nomination being held up for Director of the CIA.  "Four years ago Brennan wound up becoming White House counter-terror advisor–a White House staff position that likely has more policy influence than that of CIA director, and one not subject to congressional oversight when he had been passed over because of progressives' complaints about torture and detention practices. He'll probably get the nomination at the end of this month.

Senate Majority Leader  Democrat  Harry Reid filed for cloture on the nomination of Hagel late Wednesday afternoon but Republicans need more disclosure.  That afternoon in the Senate, Senator Jim Inhofe, Republican from Oklahoma, again called on Hagel to comply with GOP disclosure requests and specifically mentioned a 2008 speech to the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC).  They want to see the full text and details of several speeches Hagel failed to report to the Senate Armed Services Committee that have since been uncovered.

What is he hiding?  The ADC also has not disclosed the full video of the 2008 speech, while refusing to release its records as required by federal law.  The ADC vice President Nabil Mohamad told a reporter from Free Beacon that the video was in an "archive" in Maryland and not available.  He also declined to provide the group's 990.  The 990 lists financial and donor information and which nonprofits must present upon  in-person request.   After that, ADC has refused to even let the reporter into their office.  A second reporter telephoned the ADC to tell them of the legal requirement and was accused of racism and bigotry, of making threats against the organization, and was told that the "authorities" had been informed of his request.  So good luck, Senators.

John Brennan For CIA Chief ? A Headache for USA and Israel

Perhaps that's why he is so flowery in his compliments in speeches to Muslims.  When I was complimentary to my Muslim friend, he chided me and saw through my words. Actually he wished I were more honest in my comments.   I'm sure most Muslims would feel this way about what the man up for being the Director of the CIA dealing with terrorism must be thinking.

Then again, maybe Brennan means all he says,  for it sounds like he's a man with his head in the sand and in denial about Islam and Jihad. In fact, in some circles he is called a pro-Jihadist.  He calls Jihad a legitimate tenet of Islam.  He argued further that " “jihadists” should not be used to describe America’s enemies. During a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Brennan described violent extremists as victims of “political, economic and social forces,” but said that those plotting attacks on the United States should not be described in “religious terms.”

Brennan has believed that Hezbollah, the Lebanese terrorists, are moderates.  They are accused for the attacks and suicide bombings in Beirut in 1983 when 300 were killed; 241 American servicemen and 58 French servicemen.  "Brennan wrote that doing so would require the U.S. to persuade Israel to drop its “aim of eliminating Hezbollah as a political force.” "During the Bush administration, annual State Department reports on terrorism noted that “prior to September 11, 2001, [Hezbollah] was responsible for more American deaths than any other terrorist group.”  There hasn't been a word out about it since 2008.
                                                

The CIA had sent Brennan to Saudi Arabia for 

a couple of years 

as part of a joint program with the State Department

 around 1981. 

Instead of a covert program with the CIA 

using the State Department  

as cover, this was an open one: 

CIA analysts working as foreign service officers.  

"The Obama administration is looking for ways to build up “moderate elements” within the Lebanese Hezbollah guerrilla movement and to diminish the influence of hard-liners, a top White House official said on Tuesday." So Brennan met with Lebanese leaders recently and found Hezbollah to be very interesting.   He wants to build up their more moderate elements.  Isn't he lucky that Hezbollah are not his neighbors like they are Israel's?

Because of his attending the Cairo, Egypt university, he speechifies in Arabic, which doesn't let us Americans know what he's saying.  He said that Muslim terrorists are only as dangerous as shoplifters.  Lawmakers have called for his firing.

"As a college student in the 1970s, John Brennan, President Obama’s nominee for CIA director, traveled in Indonesia where – he recalled in a speech in New York in 2010  that has been aired on TV, – “despite my long hair, my earring and my obvious American appearance, I was welcomed throughout that country, in a way that is a reflection of the tremendous warmth of Islamic cultures and societies.”  He was speaking on Feb. 13, 2010 in  a meeting at the Islamic Center at New York University, facilitated by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA),  He went on to say it was "a faith of peace and tolerance and great diversity.”

 I thought that Chuck Hagel was a terrible choice for Secretary of State until I saw what Brennan's comments have been.   Born September 22, 1955 , he is the  son of Catholic Irish immigrants from Roscommon, Ireland and raised in New Jersey.  He wanted to do public service and felt that a CIA career would be a good match for his desire to travel.  He has been with the CIA for a long time doing analyst and administrative work in Washington DC and overseas work as a spy.  He was CIA station chief in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when the Khobar Towers bombing killed 19 American soldiers.  He became a deputy executive director of the CIA in March 2001 and was director of the newly created Terrorist Threat Integration Center from 2003 for a year.

Brennan represented a team which killed Osama Bin Laden.  He turned down the chance to be director of the CIA in the incoming Obama administration because of opposition to his CIA service under President George W. Bush and past public statements he had made in support of so-called "enhanced interrogation techniques.  There's no doubt that he has had plenty of practice being with the CIA, but still doesn't agree with the dangers America is facing.

Obama is in his 2nd term of office and doesn't have to worry about amassing votes now.  He's picking people to run his business that are the antipathy of being in tune with our nation and its history but are supporters of our President's views, proven by his selections.  What both Hagel and Brennan stand for is pretty shocking when you get down to the bare facts.  

Brennan has been soft all along towards terrorist groups as was Obama.  Yet he turns around and yells about Trump being soft with Putin in his first meeting with him.  Hasn't Brennan ever heard the old adage that actions speak louder than words?  How about, speak softly but carry a big stick?  I haven't approved of either his words or his actions.  For one, he was against Trump moving the US embassy to Jerusalem.  From what I have read, he's more interested in the Palestinians having more rights and a homeland but less about Israel's rights. 

" There is the phenomenon of the ‘Arabist’ — the Westerner who studies Arabic and is so taken by the culture that he adopts the Arab worldview and politics. T. E. Lawrence is probably the most well-known, but contemporary examples abound (for example, the academic Juan Cole). "Could be that this is the view that Brennan most likely has taken.  

Why can't these nominees be like  Jethro Gibbs, seen on NCIS?  He's quiet, honest and nobody fools him.

The Spy Business: CIA and Mossad in Israel

We have American spies in Tel Aviv spying on Israel.  We know because Israeli spies were spying on them and left their calling card by tampering with the American's locked box with sensitive equipment.  The same thing had happened to the previous spies.  The CIA is being watched..  Even their refrigerator had been rifled.  The CIA spies had found their food all rearranged.  I chuckle to think that perhaps the Israeli spy was a little shocked when he opened the door and rearranged by segregating the milkadik from the fleshadik.

The article in the Oregonian comments that though we are friends, we still don't trust each other and thus the spying.  Israel is the USA's closest ally.  It says that the CIA considers Israel its #1 counterintelligence threat in the agency's Near East Division.  The CIA believe that the US national secrets are safer from other Middle Eastern governments than from Israel.  Perhaps that's because Israel uses highly sophisticated, professional spy services that rival American agencies in technical capability and recruiting human sources.  Israel has access to the highest levels of the US government in military and intelligence circles.

According to Joseph Wippl, former senior CIA clandestine officer and head of the agency's Office of Congressional Affairs, "It's a complicated relationship.  They have their interests.  We have our interests.  For the U.S, it's a balancing act."

Spying on Jews in the USA by the USA and Britain has been going on for a long time.  Jews never profit from it, either.  Even the Reagan-Bush administration have spied on Jews and Israel which has been very harmful.  The Iran Contra story was one situation where spying played a big part.  This was a British arms to Iran deal of 1984 and a transatlantic sting operation to protect George Bush's reputation.  The Israelis were recruited in 1985 as a cover story for continuing an illegal Bush-British partnership.  .  This involved buying  Communist weapons for the Contras from a PLO agent and Syrian terrorist, Monzer Al-Kassar.

Al-Kassar became the mediator for the release of the American hostages in Iran.  This secret agent was really working for the Soviets, so he was a double agent.  The American CIA agent, William Buckley, was told that Bush, Casey and the British secret service had approved Middle East kidnappings.  He was tortured to death by Al-Kassar's helpers in the Syrian intelligence at the same time that Al-Kassar was "negotiating "for Buckley's release.  Betraying Israel was the"touchstone of the men who made their incredible profits from the Arabs."

It was when Bush became president that Syrian intelligence traded its silence about Iran-Contra, BCCI and Buckley in return for a reversal of U.S policy toward Syria.  What is riling is that Kassar was given VIP treatment in Washington as well as the Syrian general in charge of negotiating with the Hezbollah terrorists and of approving drug shipments out of Lebanon.  Not only that, but the White House was wiretapping American Jews.  (p. 14).  Taxpayers in the USA and Britain lost billions of dollars from the ending of the BCCI and unpaid loans to finance Saddam Hussein's army.  How could we be so dumb?  We financed an army and then had to try to destroy it later.

The government of Israel became the public scapegoat for the Iran-Contra affair.  The USA's administration had made a covert tilt toward the Arabs.  The Israeli government lost its military superiority, most of its secret networks, and much of its reputation.  Israel was compelled to stand by helplessly as Iraq bombed their cities during the Gulf War.  It was George Bush's stupidity that did the most harm to the Jews according to the writers of my reference book.

Secretary James A. Baker had said, "Fuck the Jews."  Perhaps he was joking.  A few had thought that he was summarizing the State Department's policy toward Israel for the last 75 years. If the "old spies" are right, the U.S. policy was lenient compared to that of the British and others.  All the big nations have treated Jews as expendable assets, obstacles in getting their supply of Arab oil.  It's a sad state of affairs to look at my country through such different eyes.  (p. 14)

The American spies are now watching if Israel will attack Iran in a surprise move.  Its spying is also coming from the national Security Agency in the USA.  Matthew Aid, author of "The Secret Sentry", said the US started spying on Israel before the state was created in 1948.  That corresponds with my other source, who get into spying on Jews in the USA and abroad  from 1920 to 1947 as well.  Page 1 starts off saying that the major countries in the world have planned covert operations to bring about partial or total destruction of Israel.  I have written about Britain's part in this, too.  Let's face it.  No one has really been helpful.  Israel can only trust itself and that's it.  Spying is an essential tool for survival.

 Oliver North was known to be favorable towards Israel and an Iraq-hater. From 1981-82 Caspar Weinberger was in Defense and Bill Casey at the CIA wanted our policy to favor Iraq but was being blocked.

 Reagan's first two years saw Secretary of State Alexander Haig as having an anti-Iraq pro-Israel line, including sending weapons to Iran to fight against Iraq. North was being snubbed and was thrown out of the inner circle that wanted to save Iraq from military loss.

 So in February 1982, CIA director Casey met with the head of the Iraqi secret service and was sending Saddam Hussein AWACS intelligence which he got from planes recently sold to the Saudis over Israel's strenuous objections.

 By 1983 Casey had a secret CIA group in Baghdad, giving Saddam Hussein everything from satellite photos to Iranian plans of battle.

 Here we are aiding and abetting Iraq who was also against Israel one minute and then killing off Saddam later. Now the USA is also in peril from Iran's ire from supposedly being such friends with Israel.

Whatever goes on with high level friendships always leads to one thing; Israel's danger. This is only one of many events.
