What's happening to fight terrorism is causing questions about our government and how they believe in protecting our country.  My eyebrows are arching when I read that "it isn't unusual for our military and intelligence officials to visit Saudi Arabia and then leave it repeating the classic Saudi talking points about Islam." Our important officials and other American citizens are also spending more time in Qatar.  The same thing can be happening there as well.  Both places are small but wealthy Sunni countries with more than average influence on our government.  For instance, Qaradawi, a most important  religious Sunni leader,  lives in Qatar and has a death wish for all Jews and Israel.

1. Islam is a stable influence on the region.
2. Israel is a destabilizing influence.
                                                                                     

Muslims of Israel have rights 

My thought on this is that Israel is showing the other Muslims a democratic society and that the 1.4 million Arabs living in Israel are most likely better off than the ones in their country being it's the only democratic country in the region.  They even serve in the Knesset and have their own political parties.   But are our USA  government workers becoming brainwashed?  Are they swallowing this tripe of negativism towards Israel?
                                                                         

Take John Brennan, for instance.  He has developed links with the Muslim Brotherhood who I think is the cause of Egypt's downfall in the Arab Spring.  They had been outlawed by Sadat,  and now look at the trouble they've caused the whole neighborhood. They also have the charter with the top goals of destroying Israel.  I don't take this lightly.  Brennan has brought known leaders of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood into the government in advisory positions.  Hamas's charter is the same as the Brotherhood in that they also have as goal #1 to destroy Israel. Hamas and Fatah are at each other's throats constantly in fighting over power and leadership.  Hamas has been a terrible influence over Fatah in causing them to be terrorists.   These Muslims are advising our government on counter-terrorism strategy  in the War on Terror program.  Is that all?  To John, this War on Terror means only Al Qaeda.

There is even reliable evidence that Brennan has converted to Islam. Snopes says NO.    Would a man do that just to have an in with Muslims to gain information?  Is this expected in the CIA?  Or, if true, is it from the heart?  Does he now believe the hard line of wanting to get rid of Israel?  It used to be that Islam thought of Judaism in better terms than Christianity did but the tables have turned.  Muslim Reactionaries  are only concerned with fighting Israel.  They don't need a pat on the back for doing so which their religious leaders dole out. .  They need to see condemnation for doing so in order to become civil-minded. I  don't care what religion Brennan is, except I want to know where he stands concerning Israel, as what he would be in charge of concerns Israel's very life.  If he's been leading such a double life it's going to be hard to trust what he says, anyway.

Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda started up from reacting to the Soviet War in Afghanistan in August of 1988.  The group is Sunni Muslim and believe in global jihad and the strict Sharia Law.  They deal in suicide attacks and bombings.  This is the group responsible for our 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers, killing 3,000.  They also had done the 1998 US Embassy bombings and the 2002 Bali bombings.  They are listed as terrorists by everybody.   There have been allegations that the CIA had helped al Qaeda in their fight against the Russians.  Now these terrorists are  fighting us.

"Also, al-Qaeda is possibly using aircraft to transport drugs and weapons from South America to various unstable countries in West Africa. A Boeing 727 can carry up to 10 tons of cargo. The drugs eventually are smuggled to Europe for distribution and sale, and the weapons are used in conflicts in Africa and possibly elsewhere. Gunmen with links to al-Qaeda have been increasingly kidnapping some Europeans for ransom. The profits from the drug and weapon sales, and kidnappings can, in turn, fund more militant activities."

To Obama, Salam Al Marayati Is Perfect For Human Rights Warsaw Meeting

A Human Rights Conference is meeting in Warsaw for 10 days and President Barack Obama selected the Muslim Public Affairs Council director, Salam al Marayati to represent the USA.  This is the man who decided that Israel was a "suspect" behind the 9/11 attacks.  He also advocates for terrorist organizations including Hamas and Hizbullah.  These groups have killed more Americans than any terrorist group in the world except al Qaeda, and he's our hand picked representative.

Salam has been working in the government issues for almost 10 years now and our government considers him a valued and highly credible person in issues affecting Muslim communities.  But selecting a man who immediately came up with Israel a "suspect" causing 9/11?  Doesn't this show his prejudice?

Here's his thinking.  He told the OSCE participant in Warsaw, "Hate speech that intends to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence against some people based on religion is harmful."  Evidently he is only considering the Muslims as the victim, but for him it's okay to do it to Israelis.  This is unbelievable! He automatically blames Israel for this horrific attack on the United States.   He tells people that the reason he suspected Israel is that "We should look at groups who benefit the most from these kinds of incidents and that this diverted attention from what's happening in the Palestinian territories so that they can go on with their aggression and occupation and apartheid policies."  The New York Times reported this.

Does Obama realize what happened in Warsaw? Does he remember the Warsaw Ghetto uprising?  From October 16, 1940 to November 16th , 400,000 Jews were rounded up and put in the largest ghetto only 2.4% the size of Warsaw where most all died, starved to death or shot, with the remainder sent to Treblinka to the ovens.   Warsaw stands out as the place where Jews were rounded up and forced to remain in Poland where they made a last stand for their lives but were slaughtered by the Nazis.  The Palestinians' terror group, Hamas, have been consistently shelling southern Israel for the past 12 years with mortars, missiles and rockets.  Let's talk about aggression and occupation and apartheid policies and get it straight and honest, and not stick to the Hamas/Fatah delusions.

The only people Salam is capable of speaking up for are the Muslims.  If there is any talk about Israel and the Palestinians you know exactly what he is going to say.  We won't have a chance any more than the people in hell getting a drink of water.

Islam: Religion of Peace? Why This American is Concerned

Our government tells us that Islam is a religion of peace, but after reading the Koran, I had my doubts, especially after reading about their attitude towards Jews, of which I am.  Jews do have a problem thinking ill of others' religions since we have been persecuted for maintaining our faith for over 2,000 years under a lot of pressure, but it's time to face the facts here in the states that I believe Israel has been facing.  We're facing a possible religious war. 

What makes Islam different from other religions?  Granted, there are good parts, borrowed and altered from Judaism and Christianity as well, but there are bad parts which do not teach the same fundamental goals of peaceful living that are found in Judaism and Christianity, Buddaism and other religions.  The ones that scare me are the parts that say to kill Jews even if they are under a rock or behind something.  There is a mad-on towards Jews, no doubt added on when Mohammed found out that Jews were not ready to convert willingly.  Jews that lived in Muslim countries were not treated as full citizens ever, but as 2nd class ones with penalties attached called a dhimmini status.  They were barely tolerated. 

Since 9/11, many Americans are wary of Muslims since it was Saudi Arabians who flew into the Twin Towers and killed 2,998 civilian people of 90 countries.  The USA had been involved in the Gulf War, and had been backers of Israel, so I think we all figured that there was something here that ticked these Saudi pilots off.

When the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor, it put us in the "we have to join the world war club" and we found ourselves declaring WWII.  We were attacked by planes then as well, and lost 3,581 military people and 103 civilians in that attack.  That definitely wasn't a religious war.  It was very political.  We had interferred with Japan's oil resources and they felt threatened. 

Our president Bush reacted pretty much the same way when we were attacked in 2001 and with the help of our intelligence service, attacked Iraq, which happened to be another Muslim country.  That was  touchy business being Saudi Arabia's king was a good friend of Pres. Bush, so it had to be an Iraq inspired attack. 

All the surrounding Muslim Arab states of Israel had attacked her in 1948 and had been doing so in successive wars; 1947-1949, 1956, 1967, 1968-1970, 1973, 1982, and then there was the Gulf War of 1991 which was a real threat of destruction to Israel as well as the 2nd Lebanon war of 2006.  It was in 91 that all Israeli citizens had to be issued gas masks because of the threat. 

Today we have the Emirs and heads of state of these Arab nations falling with the Arab Spring.  Our government is excited about that being they think that Democracy will step in, but  the best organized group is the Muslim Brotherhood which is able to change its goals to keep its popularity and stay in power for the time being.  Their goals are to kill all Jews everywhere and take over Israel. 
The religious leader in Qatar, Qaradawi,  who is a main man in the Muslim Brotherhood has put out a fatwa of just that.  He's the spiritual guide for Hamas, the main terrorist group of Gazans and supports suicide bombings against Israeli citizens.  This head of the "Union of Good", a group of charities-for terrorist organizations like Hamas, is free to do his thing as the US has not touched him.  He has protectia  from the Emir of Qatar, who with his Qatar Foundation, is one of the most influential people in the Muslim world.  They've already given out a lot of money to main USA Universities such as the Mellon Institute and have outreach centers in Qatar because of it. 

The Muslim Brotherhood is the heart of hatred for people that are not Muslims.  They've won in Egypt.  The Salafist group is even harsher and they received 20% of the vote, so the twosome will be the wheeler-dealers.  Their fundamental concepts is to establish an Islamic state and world domination under Islam.  They believe and carry out the personal religious duty of military Jihad and are working on its timing.  Qaradawi should be so happy to see what has happened to Egypt, where he had been ousted by Mubarak for his religious ideas.  Qaradawi can't wait to see this happen as well to Jerusalem with a conquered " Al Aqsa", where they have built a mosque over the Temple Mount of the Jews. 

Still and all, Muslims have been getting a bad rap in the states.  This is where Unity Production Foundation has stepped in.  Led by Bill McCarthy, Kenneth Pollack and Alexander Kronemer, Executive Producers, They have been creating films or videos to replace our negative perceptions of Muslims to positive ones.  There is even a program on TV showing the simple life of Muslim Americans to prove that they are just like us.  (from the producers mind to G-d's in that I only wish this is so.) 

Getting back to Qatar, they have given our Lincoln High school $70,000 and a teacher of Arabic studies to make this school special, as there are only 5 in the whole United States that have been thus rewarded with such a program.  Otherwise, the school could not have afforded this program.  The plan of Qatar is to increase this number 5 times over by 2020.    Soon many of our students will be studying from Qatar sources and reading and speaking Arabic.  This brings in the culture, such as DAM, a hip-hop trio of Palestinian Arab Israeli citizens who are now unfullfilled and presenting a program of their discontent which advocates the end of Israel, actually.  They've already turned a few students into Israel-haters at Lincoln.  This is the part of the program that many of us are upset about. 

I don't know about the necessity of learning Arabic, but Chinese would have been nice to incorporate in our public schools, being we owe so much money to China already.  Chinese students have had to be like Jewish students, go to their special schools after public school hours.  Jewish students need Hebrew to be bar-mitzvahed at age 13, so study that besides their daily studies. 

Muslims are not shy.  They are pushing their Sharia law wherever they go.  Since Jews were treated like pariahs, we have never been able to pull such a thing off, nor have we ever tried.  The problem is that Sharia law is not the same as our democratic values in many sections.  For instance, a head of Islam, Sec Gen Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu,  is meeting with Sec of State Hillary Clinton wanting to bring about suits against people who say something offensive to a Muslim.  This man wants to do away with Freedom of Speech by criminalizing criticism of Islam, which is something that makes the USA so special. 

I think Americans could just look at Europe and the Islamization that has been going on there to see where Sharia law could go.  These are great times when American are far more open-minded than they were in the 30's, and have the ability to incorporate many new social ideas, but must not become too naive.  The question is about how good are Muslims not to become enveloped into the Muslim Brotherhood philosophy?  We've already seen a few in our own states jump into that quagmire.  They weren't all poor, either.  Economic status is not the decisive factor; religious ideology is.

United Nations: Highjacked from October 24, 1945 Aims

 The UN was born  on October 24, 1945 after the 2nd World War.  It had very lofty goals of keeping the whole world in peace.  I thought I was immensely lucky at the age of 11 after knowing about the devestation of a war.  I thought, "no more wars, ever. Everywhere there will be peace."

Then along came 2001.  The UN sponsored a World Conference Against Racism from August 31st until September 8th in Durban, South Africa.  South Africa was the home of racism being a majority country of Blacks with a white minority who were in power.  Apartheid had been practiced there.  The presiding Secretary General at the conference was the former Irish President, Mary Robinson. 

"Entitled "World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance," the conference was discussing unfair treatment of one group against another. Significant time was focused specifically on Israeli treatment of Palestinians, treating violations of human rights and genocide in other parts of the world secondarily."

The meeting attacked only Israel.  There were anti-Israel demonstrationas at another conference at the same time.  Canada, the United States and Israel walked out in the middle of the conference when it singled out Israel and said that Zionism was racism.  It was Arab states that criticized Israel for their "racist" practices.  Nobody raised the question of why Jews were not allowed in any Arab state at the time. 

The Arab states demanded that the European Union criticize Israel for their "racist practices," but they refused.  The UN had been highjacked by the Arab states at this point.  Three days after the conference was over, New York was hit with 9/11.  Al Qaeda  terrorists, led by Osama bin Laden who had later admitted responsibility, had highjacked 4 passenger jets. 

Two of the jets crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center killing about 3,000 people within two hours.  The third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia killing 184 people.  The fourth plane flew toward Washington D.C with intent to crash into either the Capitol building or the White House but failed when the passengers managed bravely to foil their attempts and they crashed in Pennsylvania, killing all aboard. 

The climate of 2001 became that of Arabs and Arab terrorists acting out against the Western culture.  To them, Israel was an invasion in their territory of Western culture, something they had fought against long ago during the Crusader years and long afterwards in their attempt to take over Europe.  I feel they were frightened of any connection with the West as it would give the wrong ideas to their people.  They had a nice system going of complete control of their people and wanted it to remain so.  There was no democratic rule in Arab societies, only Kings and such.  Saudi Arabia, where the al Qaeda terrorists came from, is an absolute monarchy and Islamic state of Sunni Muslims.  2001 was the year that the Gazan terrorists of Hamas started shelling Israel with Qassam rockets, mortars and any missiles they could get.  Israel was held back from retaliating. 

Durban II was a repeat of Durban I. Durban III will be another repeated bashing of Israel, and Canada led again in refusing to attend. The US has refused as well to attend on September 21st. The conference is centering on it being the 10th anniversary of that fateful I and will be celebrating. 

It should be known that the U.N.'s biggest contributors is the United States.  The U.N. building is in New York City.  The United States pays 22% of their budget and also 25% of the peace keeping in the world.  I note that there was no peacekeeping going on between the Gaza terrorists and Israel from 2001 to 2009.  For eight years Israel took shelling from Gaza with warnings from the world not to retaliate. 

If and when the Arabs go to the UN on September 22 to attempt to claim a state of Palestine, a Lebanese chairman will be presiding.  Lebanon is under the control of Syria and Syria is under the  control of Iran.  The Arabs have more than a foot in the door to start with.  They are already listed as "Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the United Nations." 

For me, the UN has been altered from the UN I relied on as a child.  They no longer are against one group attacking another but in many ways are the cause of it happening.

Thousands of Terror Attacks by Religion of Peace (Islam)

We in the Western world have been taught that the three major religions and other valid religions are all for peace and teach just this.  The more recent one born in the 600's CE may be to some, but on the other hand also believes in violence.  Since 9/11, an atrocity from a few of Islam's people believing in violence,  there have been 17,582 more attacks of terror.  These have been perpetrated on many of Islam's own people as well as against Christians. Atrocities are being committed against Christians and I haven't seen the world becoming very concerned.  Minya, Egypt has been especially hard on Christians.  A Christian farmer had his throat slit in front of his son by a Muslim mob who attacked a Christian home, and they also severely beat a pastor.  Two Christians there were slain by snipers while driving.  Attacks on other Muslims have also happened in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and other countries as well. 

This religion took its major thesis  from Judaism and Christianity with modifications.  Then it added the words from Mohammed, its prophet.  The beginnings of Islam were taught with the sword many times which is how it converted whole villages of Jews in Saudi Arabia during that period.  It was convert or die.  People forget when they speak about it being a religion of peace that Mohammed taught to hate Jews and that if they found them behind or under a rock they should be killed.  Luckily this aspect of their Koran was almost ignored when Jews lived in Arab countries as 2nd class citizens before the founding of Israel.  They lived but paid the higher price of being a Dminni, an underling, and paid more in taxes than Muslims and other such belittling facts of life. While Russia was slaughtering Jews in pogroms, the Arabs in the Middle East were fairly tolerant, considering the alternative.  The 2nd World War altered the Arab attitude toward Jews.    Today, this attitude has been revived and having Jews in their own little piece of land in the Middle East is seen as an affront to them.  They were allowed once to live in the Middle East but under the Muslim rule.  They are not seen as equals in "their"  land of the Middle East.. 

The leader of Egypt, Sadat, was more of a realist and did accept Israel as well as did Hussein in Jordan. Sadat was the Mentch that Golda Meier hoped for when she mentioned that when the Arabs loved their children as much as the Israelis do, there would be peace.   These two people made peace with Israel, but with the Arab Spring and Mubarak of Egypt losing his position, one wonders how the natives of Egypt will act.  Right now we see the oil pipes being attacked that bring oil into Jordan and Israel, so it looks like mob rule as well as the Muslim Brotherhood in power. 

What is preached in Mosques turns out many times to be hatred for Western civilization and Jews and Israel.  The listeners are men as I see on TV.  They pray 5 times a day.  The Faith Club,  written by 3 women, a Jew, Christian and Muslim (Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver and Priscilla Warner) who lived in New York  got together to talk about their religion and the prevailing attitudes among them.  The Muslim lady knew none of the aspects of terror and hate.  She seemed to be a very kind and sweet woman with the same values as the other two.  I got the feeling from reading this book that women are not privy to the ideals of their men, at least the ones living in the United States.  I'm sure that women in the Middle East are more aware of what goes on when they are in the middle of a war zone. 

Arabs have made big inroads by immigrating to Europe and America. Sharia Law is being accepted in many of the countries.   They now have 130 countries they say ready to recognize their new state of Palestine, created out of land that was not too long ago deemed to be the Jewish Homeland.  It looks to me that these European countries are taking the lessser problematic road for themselves and are traveling on the road in consensus with the Arab will.  Democracy is being buried in favor of recognizing "might is right."  Even Abbas has teamed up with Hamas and their philosophy of attacking Israel hasn't stopped the promised recognition  from others, brought on by either respect or fear!  It's hard to tell why they decide to side with Palestine instead of respecting the needs of Israel in this case, isn't it.

Cordoba Mosque of 9/11 Wants Federal Funding

Approximately 70% of New Yorkers oppose building a huge $100 million dollar mosque two blocks from the 9/11 site where the Twin Towers fell from the ramming of planes with Saudi Arabian Muslims filled with jihad against America. By August 18th, CNN poll showed that 68% of New Yorkers were against building the proposed mosque so close to the site of disaster. Then, on August 19th, The Siena Research found 63% opposed with 27% supportive of building. The Jewish Defense League is against it because it will cause pain for those who lost friends and family in the disaster, not comfort.

It's called the Cordoba Initiative and Park51, title of the Cordoba Mosque project at Ground Zero. One reason it stings is that it is named after "The Great Mosque" in Cordoba, Spain. In the 700's around the time Islam was born, the Christian church of Saint Vincent sat on the foundation of a Roman temple. The Moors (Arabs) attacked and tore it down. It was replaced with The Great Mosque which became the 2nd most important mosque after Mecca.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf should have called it by a different name. This is inflamatory. His wife, Daisy Khan explains that it will be modeled after a Jewish Community Center and sounds absolutely delicious. They both refuse to build in a different spot. It is to be opened on the 10th anniversary of the Twin Towers attack.

Now they are asking for federal funding of around $5,000,000 whereas in the beginning they assured everyone that they would have all the necessary funding.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church was destroyed on 9/11. They have been asking ever since the incident for funds to rebuild but without any success. Shouldn't the Iman do the generous thing and offer money to this church to rebuild instead of glorifying his religion with a a grand mosque?

Many people read history and feel that Islam has shown dominance over the West in insidious ways. For instance, the Dome of the Rock in East Jerusalem, next door to the Western Wall, was actually built on the ruins of Judaism's holiest site, the Temple Mount. That's why it's so close. Now the Muslims are tying to proclaim that Jews have no connection to Jerusalem at all and want to take over all of East Jerusalem for their capital saying that they own the Western Wall.

Another example is the Al-Aqsa Mosque built on the southern end of the Temple Mount and over the Basilica of St. Mary of Justinian. The Grand Mosque of Damascus was erected over the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. These are but a few examples.

At a time of austerity in spending, I doubt very much if our leaders are going to fund this mosque. I do hope that the mayor of New York takes pity on the destroyed Greek Church and does something to allow them to rebuild on their own site. They have been rebuffed enough times. Shouldn't a destroyed church take precedent over a new grandiose mosque?

12/9/10: Pamela Geller's website has that the 95 yr old St. Nicholas Church at ground zero is suing for rights to rebuild. Good for them. I hope they win.
