How the Cohen Gene of J1 Is Being Found in Jews and Palestinians and Other Arabs

Challah, a special bread made for Friday night, the start of Shabbat, a Jewish custom.  Bread in the bible days was considered the main element of any meal and a blessing is said over it.

There are those that do not believe much in what is in the 5 books of Moses found in the Old Testament in which tells us that there was an Abraham who fathered an Ishmael by Hagar, an Egyptian woman who was his wife's handmaiden, and Isaac by his wife, Sarah.
                                                                           

Yet, DNA is proving that the story is correct in that we are finding the Cohen gene, which is haplogroup J1c3d,  is being found in the Jewish Cohens, men who are first to read from the Torah in the synagogue because they are Cohens who count their main ancestor as Moses's brother, Aaron who came from Abraham through Isaac, and in the Arab communities as well from Abraham through Ishmael.  Scientists can tell if the haplogroup is from the Jewish or the Arab branches.  What thrills me is that this was written by Moses who lived from 1391 BCE to 1271 BCE.  He knew that there was a connection between the Israelites, later to be called the Jews and the rest of the the Middle Easterners, and that is is just something  now proven scientifically 3,300 years later.  Actually, Jews have always spoken of the Arabs as our cousins because of Moses's writings.

The latest revelation, which Dr. Jon Entine, author of the book, Abraham's Children," lectures in a video made in 2011, tells about finding out more about the Palestinians' DNA and that there are also those who are Bedouins in Judah and Samaria also have the Cohen gene. Some of these people are interviewed on the video and profess to be interested in going back to Judaism now.  Others must be found in and around Judah and Samaria who had lived there for a long time.

We know that Assyria had struck Israel and took away the cream of the Israelite people in 721 BCE, the best of the population.  The Babylonians did the very same thing in 597 BCE and again in 586 BCE.  When the Romans came along and conquered Jerusalem in 70 CE they also had taken the best of the population as slaves, just like they had taken the Greeks before.  So that means that the laborers, the general population were left in pockets, hiding out where they couldn't be found.  Some of these people were forced to convert to Islam, so thus we have these Palestinians who had been Jewish tribes.

The video opens  with Mike Nichols, a Jewish movie director with Russian and German ancestors finding out he has the Cohen gene and that he matches with Dr. Mehmet Oz, a Muslim American surgeon with Turkish ancestors.  Dr. Oz, when interviewed told how he was surprised at this finding and that it shows how we are so similar with the difference only in how we think about things.  That may be the crux in our differences.  Here's where environment may come into play to show its affect on people even more than genetics.  Yet genetics is showing how similar we are, as well.

Some of these clans or even tribes have preserved Jewish customs of lighting candles,   only are doing it on both Thursday and Friday nights.  They have Challah.  The boy babies are circumcised.  They found tefillin.  Prayers were done in secret, showing a behavior similar to the Anusim (originally called Marranos) who were from Spain and Portugal and through the Spanish Inquisition of 1492 had to hide their Jewishness for fear of death.

It showed they have a practice I hadn't heard of and that is of lighting candles at the graveside   One village had the name which translates into wine makers.  This is definitely not coming from after 632 CE since Muslims have a taboo against drinking wine or any other spirits, so they must have been a village of wine makers.

Jewish artifacts were found such as the Star of David on homes, and others that had been disguised by embellishment on the original star.  90% of one town was originally found to have been Jewish at one time. The researcher did run into people who did not want cameras on their homes showing some of these artifacts.

One fellow could recite his ancestors back 8 generations, which was done as shown in the book "Roots" when Alex Haley went to Africa to find his roots and ran across his tribe who could recite a very long and involved history of their genealogy.  Another thought it was his grandfather who converted to Islam.

Who cares if  there are some Palestinians who have   Jewish roots?  What difference does it make?  Who cares at all about the DNA of people?  Like Dr. Oz mentioned, the difference may only lie in the way we have learned to think.  So far, Muslims have been taught, for political reasons, that we Jews stem from monkeys and apes.  Really?  Now that they might learn we truly are cousins, is it wise to say this, or would it be better for all if we recognize that we are brothers under the skin and learn to get along and work together.
That's what I'm hoping.  So far this has been a one man crusade of someone putting all his money into this endeavor of research.  He's an Israeli and I'm saying, more power to him.  This is a wonderful find.

We know that much of this is also true of many of the Pashtuns, who number into the millions. Some believe that they are descended from the Lost Ten Tribes.  Many present people could be extensions from the Persian Jewish community.  Most Afghan Jews speak Judeo-Persian.   Some, or even a few of them may have Jewish DNA since they still have continued some Jewish customs as well, but they lately profess a fighting spirit against the Israelis today and are deep into their Islamic beliefs.  My own Jewish father's DNA haplogroup matches with a few Pashtuns, which tells me we are connected somewhere along our line of existence, possibly from our stay in Persia.    Some of the Pashtuns have become Talibanists, terrorists, and of course this is an environmental thing.

The video has many aspects to it all involving Jewish DNA findings.  It's well worth studying.  I must add that this was produced in 2011 and that there have been many advances in autosomal DNA testing since then.  I'd love to have an update on that one aspect as we are finding some fantastic things through this type of test as well.  Doing genealogy required having written records of our ancestors.  When that isn't available, we can turn to autosomal testing and find people who share segments of our 23 chromosomes.  Because of this, I've found connections to the Rabbi of Worms through  a triangulation method who in turn has written records of his ancestry to Rashi, who has the known oral history of being connected to King David.

DNA science is making leaps and bounds while connecting to other  subjects of history, archaeology, anthropology, sociology, Linguistics and population genealogy, of course.

As Dr. Ariella Oppenheim, geneticist in Israel,  said, "this shows a genetic connection only."   We know we are missing the key to all our problems, which is how we have grown to think differently about each other.  Israel has set up programs which connect Jews and Arabs into mutual community events and had always hoped that eventually the two groups would learn to tolerate each other.  While Israel has been doing this, schools in the PA held areas of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) have been busy with their textbooks teaching a hatred for the Jews.  Politics have been destroying any advent of a mutual co-existence.  That must change, but how?

I spent a sleepless night thinking of what can happen.  I think spreading the knowledge that there is this blood connection would be a good starting point that might lead to joining mentally as well eventually.  The Palestinians have been saying that the Jews have no connections to Israel.  They are in complete denial of our history and roots.  Maybe showing this video or something similar which will teach people more about this history would be helpful for starters.

Of course we're going to run into competition with Islam.  Muslims will be against other Muslims converting back to Judaism.  Their political upbringing is not as open-minded as the Jews have been.  As I look at the history of the Muslim  countries, they have had nothing but fighting going on between them and are very competitive with each other, so there they are, most likely all cousins, and yet they don't always get along, so maybe I have too high a hopes.  The same with Europe.  They're probably all interrelated, too, but have warred against each other throughout the generations into 1944.  After all, Cain killed Abel, and they were brothers.  Well, we've advanced in so many ways.  Now we need to advance past the Cain and Abel stage of thinking.  For those who don't know who they were, they were Adam and Eve's sons.

Ongoing Hatred in Malmo, Sweden for Israel and Jews

Sweden used to be a country Jews found refuge in when facing deadly anti-Semitic attacks in Europe.  This isn't the case anymore.  With the influx of many Muslims over the past several decades, they are now the brunt of attacks.                                                   

There are now about 2,000 Jews left in Malmo, Sweden's 3rd largest city,  with about 600 as regular synagogue goers.  If a male Jew wears a kippa ( small round head covering) on the street, he most certainly will be accosted by the Muslim population there.  Sweden was once thought of as a place for multiculturalism, but this has besmirched their record and their ideals.

Hate crimes are on the rise, and not committed by the Jews.  They are the ones being attacked.  "Typically, but not exclusively, the perpetrators of anti-Semitic hate crimes are "young men with roots in the Middle East," according to Jehoshua Kaufman.  Around 1/3 of Malmo's 310,000 residents are foreigners with the largest minorities coming from the Balkans, Iraq and Denmark.  In 2012, 66 anti-Jewish crimes were committed with 60 reports made to the police.  31 occurred in Stockholm, the largest city of about 900,000 residents.  For 2013, 35 attacks were already committed.

A hate crime occurs when one person intentionally subjects another to offensive physical contact, threatens or inflicts physical injury, or threatens or causes damage to the property of another person because of their race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin. A hate crime may also target a person's family member.

Many Jews have already left Malmo for Israel, a country that was created for Jews who have been affected by anti-Semitism.  It is not easy for anyone to give up jobs, homes and neighbors and move to a new land with a different climate and language, for in Israel everyone speaks Hebrew, which is a different matter from reading it in prayer books.  However, most Swedes are already bi-lingual, speaking  Swedish and English,  so the young ones will pick up the language easily, but not the older ones.  If they speak English, they should move to the larger cities where others do, too.

Jews living in Germany before WWII also had to make this decision of whether to leave or not.  Then, they did not have Israel as a refuge but had to rely on the whims of other countries as to whether or not they would give political asylum to Jewish refugees.  Many countries, especially in South America,  refused to do so.  Many Jews thought such new rules and regulations would eventually blow over as people came to their senses.  They never did, and we had 6 million die horrible deaths.  Even the USA had strings attached to taking in Jewish refugees.  Then, the door was closed in 1939 in Germany and Jews couldn't escape from there at all.

Orthodox men are the objects of torment from the Muslims as they are easier to spot.  One such person is  Shneur Kesselman, an American orthodox rabbi who dresses in his traditional Hasidic black suit, fedora hat and wears a beard.  He is of the Chabad group.  He has been insulted and has had things thrown at him right on the street in Malmo so many times that he has lost count.  The young Muslim guys that are doing this come from countries where they are taught to be racist and anti-Semitic through their family, education and their audio-visual culture such as TV.

Ala-Eddin Al-Aut, head of Sweden's Islamic Association, said the group were changing attitudes after getting Muslim organizations to address anti-Semitism in their Friday sermons.  Some signs have now been banned from its anti-war demonstrations.  Al-Qut  distinguishes between Jews and Israelis.  Evidently with him it's okay to hate Israelis and to show it.  This gives little assurance to the Jews.

It seems like the only reason the rest of Sweden is concerned about all this is that others will call attention to their bringing in too many Muslims into their country.  The Jewish community finds that anti-Semitism is not limited to just Malmo but is happening in Stockholm as well but is just more visible in Malmo because the city is more compact and has a less segregated center.  If could also be that many of the Muslim families were directed towards Malmo as the immigrant center being many Jews had been living there who came as refugees from WWII.  Now the Jewish residents are faced with the same old anti-Semitism from a new batch of people, but had also been influenced by Hitler.

Sweden has been faced with this problem for several years, now, and nothing seems to be done about it.  The only good thing is that Iimar Reepalu is now a former mayor of Malmo.  Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh is the new mayor.  She said that schools were providing special training for teachers to combat this anti-Semitism.

An ugly thing  happened, though,when  the local youths in Velinge, a middle-class town with few immigrants, but on the outskirts of Malmo were found shouting Nazi slogans at people who were attending a weekend event for children at a Jewish  recreation center, something like our Jewish community centers in the states.  These young hoodlums were throwing eggs at the building. Perhaps  this behavior did not stem from their families but was influenced by the Muslims of Malmo as a copy-cat type of learned or admired behavior.  So, evidently the educational aspect is not enough.  Is anyone being punished for such behaviors?

An explosion ripped through the Jewish community center last September and security has been upgraded.  Arrests were made for committing a hate crime.
                                                                       

One way the Jews are fighting back is with Kippah walks that were started in December 2011.  This was in reaction to the persecution and intimidation that the Jews were experiencing.  Other Swedes are joining them in this walk, and all wear a kippah.  The sad situation is that the Swedish politicians are not taking such anti-Semitic acts seriously enough to really act on them.

Jerusalem Facts You May Not Know

King David made Jerusalem his capital more than 3,000 years ago, and Jewish people have lived in this city for over 3,000 years.  It was also well known as "The City of David."  Jews have constituted the largest single group of people living in Jerusalem since the 1840's.  In 1844 there were 7,120 Jews, 5,000 Muslims and 3,390 Christians.    This city has played a central role in Jewish existence.  The Western Wall in the Old City is the last remaining wall of the ancient Jewish Temple and has been the object of Jewish veneration and a focal point for Jewish prayer.

Three times a day since 70 CE Jews have prayed "To Jerusalem, thy city, shall we return with joy."  Israel became reborn on May 14, 1948, but Jews couldn't enter east Jerusalem.   Jews have united the whole city through the terrible war when they were attacked by neighboring Arab countries in  1967.

Muslims have their own special places which are outside of Israel.  Their cities of reverence are Mecca or Medina in Saudi Arabia.  Jerusalem has no major Islamic importance.  They are only interested in the majestic Dome of the Rock that is in Jerusalem.  Jerusalem has never served as a provincial capital under Muslim rule.  Nor was it ever a Muslim cultural center.  If anyone has the audacity to say that Jerusalem need not be the capital of Israel and are Americans, then they should consider someday losing Washington DC.   How would they feel to return to the land and consider having to take another city as their capital when they have always had Americans residing in Washington DC.  Does that make sense?  The USA's history started only almost 400 years ago with the 1620 ship, Mayflower landing.  Israel's history goes back to the 2nd millennium BCE which would be about 4,000 years ago.

Let's look at Jerusalem's population history with Jews and Muslims living there. Muslims lived in the East section, and Jews lived in the rest of Jerusalem.  It is no longer a divided city but united.

The former mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek had said that, "Throughout centuries of exile, Jerusalem remained alive in the hearts of Jews everywhere as Jerusalem was the focal point of Jewish history.  It is the symbol of ancient glory, spiritual fulfillment and modern renewal.  This heart and soul of the Jewish people engenders the thought that if you want one simple word to symbolize all of Jewish history, that word would be, Jerusalem."

Leon Uris and his wife, Jill, wrote in Jerusalem.  "Jerusalem "has known only 2 periods of true greatness, and these have been separated by 2,000 years.  Greatness has only happened under Jewish rule.  This is so because the Jews have loved her the most, and have remained constant in that love throughout the centuries of their dispersion...It is the longest, deepest love affair in history.  Uris wrote "The Source", a history of Israel through finding artifacts in digs.

What has happened to Jerusalem since 1947?  The UN took up the Palestine question then and they recommended that all of Jerusalem be internationalized.  The Vatican and other Catholic delegates wanted this, but the real reason for this decision was the Soviet Bloc's need to embarrass King Abdullah and his British patrons.  It was this king who would take Judea and Samaria in 1948 illegally even though it was designated to become part of the Jewish National Home, passed by all in the League of Nations.

The leaders to be of Israel, the Jewish Agency, then agreed in 1947 to this internationalization hoping to protect their dear city from conflict.  The Arab states were against the idea as well as the partition plan itself.  They wanted it all.  Abdullah then invaded in 1948 and occupied east Jerusalem along with Judea and Samaria.  Jordan's army drove out thousands of Jews whose families had lived in the city for centuries in exile.  The UN's partition plan and internationalization went up in smoke.

The Arabs had rejected UN Resolution 181.  The UN established the UN conciliation Commission for Palestine on December 11, 1948 after Israel's birth on May 14, 1948.  Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion said that Israel would no longer accept the internationalization of Jerusalem.

The city was divided between Israel and Jordan from 1948 to 1967, when the Arabs lost their attack on Israel in the 67 War.  During this period between 48 to 67, Israel had made its capital in the western part of Jerusalem while Jordan occupied the eastern section.  There had been no peace pact yet with Jordan, so they were officially in a state of war, like all the other Arabs were.  The city was divided with concrete walls and bunkers, barbed-wire fences, minefields and other fortifications that military people use.

When the 1967 Arab attack started, Israel pleaded with Jordan not to be a part of the attack and to stay out of the war, but they didn't listen.  Within about 2 days, the IDF drove out the Jordanians and after the war Israel moved to unite the city.

Steven Schwebel, international legal scholar, wrote that because Israel was defending itself from aggression in the 1948 and the 1967 wars, it has a better claim to sovereignty over Jerusalem than that of its Arab neighbors.  The land was all to be the Jewish National Home once again as it had been long ago.

There has been no other people who have been picked on as much as the Jews.  They have suffered from anti-Semitism since they were exiled in 70 CE by the Romans till today.  Since Jews have been such an anathema to the world, the least it can do is back their right to inhabit their old homeland.  The UN has been doing quite the opposite.  In every which way they back the Arabs who would like to see Israel disappear and who have taken it upon themselves to finish Hitler's goal.  Every country in the UN has a history of anti-Semitism, so it's like asking the fox to become a vegetarian.  One nation only has stood up to the injustice against Israel, and that has been the USA.
                                                                     

Back in biblical history, Joshua entered Canaan with the Israelites in 1320 BCE and defeated the Canaanite king of Jerusalem, Adoni-Zedek.  The city was then an independent city between the tribes of Benjamin and Judah.  In the 12th century, Jebus-Jerusalem maintained its independence with some Philistine help, until its was captured by David in about 1010 BCE and became the capital of a united Israel.  This is documented in II Samuel 5: 6-8; and I Chronicles 11:4-6.  King David was lenient with the Jebusites.  He added the fortress of Zion and a House of Heroes for his guard.  Then he built a tomb inside the city for himself and his dynasty.  The Ark of the Covenant was transferred to Jerusalem and it became the religious center.  His empire reached from the Red Sea to the Euphrates.

King Solomon, his son, (970-930 BCE) added to the city with his commercial ventures and heavy taxes.  He added the Palace and the Temple.  It was then that Jerusalem truly became the religious capital.  When Solomon died, the northern tribes seceded.  Judah was created out of Israel who kept Jerusalem as their capital.  The Davidic dynasty lived in Judah.  All went well until it's destruction in 701 BCE by Sennacherib of  the Assyrians. The city fell again in 586 BCE to Nebuchadnezzar of the Babylonians who deported most of the population and destroyed the temple and Royal Palace.  Fifty years went by and most of the exiles returned and rebuilt the Temple in 519 BCE.  Jerusalem then became the capital of a Persian province but was autonomous in internal matters under the rule of the high priest of the House of Zadok.  All nobles and a 1/10th of the of the people were brought in to fill the half-empty city. Theocratic rule continued in Hellenistic times when the city was prosperous.

The city was captured by the Parthians in 40 BCE and fell after a long siege to Herod in 37 BCE who was a Roman vassal who was the ruler.  He built a palace in the NW quarter of the city with 3 giant towers.  One is still there and is called the "Tower of David."  He even rebuilt the Temple with a huge surrounding esplanade.  This outer wall  still stand and is called the Western Wall.  It had been called the "Wailing Wall."  Herod died in 4 BCE which caused the city to be ruled by a Roman Procurators except when Agrippa I reigned from 41 to 44 who built a 3rd wall to the North.  When the procurator, Pontius Pilate was in charge, Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem  in 29 CE.  Roman rule was unbearable and the people revolted in 66.  They were independent for 3 years when it was again besieged by the Romans under Titus and fell in 70 CE.  The Temple and most of the buildings were destroyed.

Bar Kochba revolted from 132 to 135 and Jerusalem was then liberated.  The Roman emperor Hadrian had had it rebuilt as a Roman colony, Aelia Capitolina and forbade Jews  to near it with a death decree if they did.

Finally, the Roman Empire was Christianized and under Constantine, Jerusalem became a Holy City for their new religion.  His mother, Helena, visited Jerusalem in 325 and had the Church of the Holy Sepulcher built in 335.  Now it became a city of churches and monasteries, pilgrimages and religious disputes.  In 363, Emperor Julian tried to restore the Temple unsuccessfully.  In 614, it was occupied by the Persians who were assisted by a Jewish force, but by 628, Byzantine rule was restored by emperor Heraclius.

In 638, the city fell to Caliph Omar who set up a place of prayer in the Temple esplanade, which was rebuilt in 691 as the Dome of the Rock by the Umayyad caliph Abed-el Malik.  The Arabs allowed the Jews to return, but the city began to decay after they transferred the center of Abbasid rule to Baghdad in 750.  The Fatimids in the 11th century built the 2nd mosque, El-Aksa, on the Temple site.  Then in 1099 Jerusalem was invaded by the Crusaders  led by Godfrey of Bouillon.  They made Jerusalem a capital of the Latin Kingdom.  Not for long, though, because by 1187 the Ayyubid sultan Saladin took the city for Islam again and it remained in Muslim hands.  Under the Ottomans, it decayed and in the 18th and 19th century the population sank below 10,000 and part lay in ruins.

The Jewish community was destroyed by the Crusaders and was almost non-existent in the 13th century, but not for long.  The Spanish Inquisition of 1492 caused many Sephardim Jews to pour into Jerusalem when the government was restricting their entrance.  In 1625 the local pasha Muhammad ibn Farukh killed many of them.  A revival of population started in the 1880's when the first aliyah from Russia returned.  By 1838 the population rose from 11,000 to 68,000 with 50,000 being Jewish.

Who does Jerusalem like best?  The Jewish people.  Why?  Because they take care of her.  They love her.  Nothing was done with Jerusalem when the Jews were forced out.  It lost its special aura, its sheen, its specialty.  It was just a city without the Jews.

Archaeology Proves Israel's Past History

Archaeology has helped to uncover facts about the Jewish past in Eretz Yisrael over the last 3,000 years.  Archaeologists are uncovering the whole story which goes back to Canaan, and Christianity.  Found has been the head of a clay statue from the Neolithic period that was found in Jericho.  A pitcher with a Greek decoration was found at Taanach.  Representation of a menorah was found in the ruins of Gadera.
                                                                             

Israel's Department of Antiquities and Museums is responsible for safeguarding the sites of archaeological excavations and their antiquities which are protected by law.  It carries out  country-wide surveys and prevents damage to sites from development and building, looks after the mapping and registration of new finds and supervises the archaeological work of local and foreign expeditions.

2013's February started off with a dig finding an ancient wine press in Jaffa from the Byzantine period.  In April was discovered a ritual bath from the 2nd Temple period.  May uncovered a dig of a 2,000 year old stone quarry in Jerusalem and a 1,500 year old Mosaic in southern Israel.  This month of June uncovered 2,000 year old cooking pots in Jerusalem.  "

• "Three complete cooking pots and a small ceramic oil lamp were uncovered inside a small cistern in a drainage channel that runs from the Shiloah Pool in the City of David to Robinson’s Arch near the Western Wall..  A distant cousin, Chaim Goldfus, PhD  was involved in this recent find."  

What they are not in control of is the Muslim site in Jerusalem of the Mosque of Omar or Dome of the Rock which was purposely built in the center of the Jews' 2nd Temple area by the Caliph Abed al Malik in about 738 CE to replace the temporary structure set up by the Caliph Omar a century earlier.  It is situated on the traditional site of Mt. Moriah, where the Torah says is the site where Abraham offered up Isaac as a sacrifice.    This seemed to start a Muslim tradition of putting their stamp on an area saying they were taking over with their Muslim religion.  In this way they thought they were burying the older religion by building theirs over it.  Moshe Dayan (1915-1981) Israel's Minister of Defense, allowed the Muslims to have authority over a very precious Jewish site, so what is going on under it is unknown.

Archaeological digs began in the 19th Century CE and had a boost after Israel's birth in 1948.  In the Jordan Valley, Galilee and the Carmel Range, bones of early man, the Neanderthals,  were found with tools and the remains of animals that he hunted.  The oldest discovered date back to over one million years ago and was named Tabun.who lived 103,000 to 80,000 years ago.    The next oldest found was Amud who lived from 55,000 to 47,000 years ago, and the earliest was Kebara who lived 60,000 years ago.  Neanderthals were found to have lived from 130,000 to 28,000 years ago.  The company, 23&Me can find the % of Neanderthal genes in people who take their dna test, for most of us do carry some of those genes. Since Neanderthals were not found in Africa, the average European will have about 2.5% Neanderthal genes, which would include Jews since 3 digs have discovered their bones in caves in Israel.    

Bits of Canaanite settlements in the 3rd and 2nd millennia BCE were found in the biblical sites of Hazor, Megiddo, Ashdod, Jerusalem and Shechem.  These have proved to be the settlements of the Israelites on their return from Egypt towards the end of the 2nd millennium BCE and especially after the establishment of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah.  The digs provide many details about the daily life, architecture, arts and forms of religious worship that went on in that period.

Remains form the 2nd Temple days, especially the Hasmonaean period through the Jewish revolt against the Romans in the 1st century CE were unearthed in Jerusalem, Caesarea, Beit-Sha'an, Tiberias and Jaffa.  The most impressive relics of fortresses in the Judaean Desert were the Masada and Herodion, which were bases for the revolt which ended in 70 CE with the devastation of the land and its conversion into a Roman province.

Archaeologists couldn't get into Jerusalem until 1967.  Since then they have uncovered detailed evidence of the city's fortification and the magnificent public and religious edifices.  They also saw how its burning and capture by the Roman legions left its evidence.  Traces of the camp of the Roman 10th Legion and remains of the Roman Jerusalem where found.  They had named the city "Aelia Capitolina" in the 2nd and 3rd centuries and this evidence was found.
                                                                     

In the Judaean desert are caves which were explored that led to the discovery of the "Letters of Shimon Bar-Kochba, the commander of the 2nd Jewish revolt against the Romans in the 2nd century (135 CE).  This event is comparable in historical importance to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The unbroken presence of the Jewish community throughout the Byzantine period of the 4th to 7th centuries was uncovered by finding beautiful synagogues in the Galilee, Judaea and in the south.  Evidence of the new Christian community that developed at that time was also discovered.

Great edifices built by the Moslem conquerors in the 7th century and after had  been uncovered in the early 70's.  .Found were the palaces of the Omayyad rulers in Jerusalem and the antiquities of Ramla.

The Christian Crusaders' period of knights who came and conquered and held the Holy Land between the 11th and 13th centuries is now better known and understood as their fortresses at Akko (Acre), Caesarea, Jerusalem and Kochav Hayarden have been cleared and reconstructed.

Mamluk and Turkish remains from the Middle Ages at the beginning of the 20th century have been investigated.  Archaeological activity has been expanded and sites are connected with neighboring cultures.  The Phoenicians on the northern seashore, or the Roman period Nabatean settlements in the Negev were receiving closer treatment in the early 70's.

Outside of Israel has also been found evidence of the Jewish civilization.  Discoveries in Egypt of the 5th to 4th centuries BCE of Aramaic Papri at Elephantine (Yeb), numerous Greek and a few Hebrew papyri of hellenistic and Roman times, the Edfu ostraca, and the Jewish temple at Leontopolis.  Jewish inscriptions of the hellenistic or Roman periods exist in most Mediterranean lands.  The Jewish catacombs in Rome and Carthage and tombstones in the Crimea exist.  Synagogues of the classical period have been found in Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy, Asia Minor and Syria, especially Dur-Europos, remarkable for its biblical frescoes are proof of existence.

The Palestinians have refused to accept the fact that Jews were in the land long before they were.  This is part of their political brain washing of their people, that only they have the right to the land and that Jews are foreigners.  However, they cannot dispute these findings that show we were here long, long ago and have come home to roost.  .

Temple Mount in Jerusalem Barred From Jews: No Jewish Praying Allowed

The Temple Mount is on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. Today's 2nd Temple that was first built by King Solomon (961-920 BCE) in Jerusalem was on this same site.  . King David, his father,  wasn't allowed to build it as he was a king of war.  Solomon was known for his wisdom and peace and built it as a shrine for the Ark of the Covenant, the sacred vessels and offerings for worshippers.  

 The Babylonian exiles, Jews taken away by the Babylonians in 597 and 586 BCE were allowed to return in 538 BCE and they rebuilt the Temple by 515 BCE., known as the 2nd Temple.   When Jerusalem fell to the Romans in 70 CE, the Temple was destroyed, but not before the Romans carried off all the loot from it.  A Roman temple was later built on the site, and since the Moslem Period, the Mosque of Omar, otherwise known as the Dome of the Rock,  has stood there.  It was built in the center of the Temple area by Caliph Abd al-Malik in about 738 CE to replace the temporary structure set up by Caliph Omar in 638 CE. Mohammad had died in 632 CE.

The Temple Mount is referred to as al-Haram al-Sharif to Muslims and is ranked as one of the most sensitive religious sites in the world.  There have been sporadic riots here which is said to have the potential to ignite much wider unrest.

The Six Day War in 1967 was when the Temple Mount fell into Israel's hands again, after a wait of 2,000 years. Since then, Jerusalem is a united city.   Though Israel became a state on May 14, 1948, the eastern portion of Jerusalem, where the Temple Mount is, was barred to Jews by Jordan.   Prime Minister Levi Eshkol made plans to takeover the Temple Mount and thought that the administration of such a holy site should be filled equally by Muslim, Christian and Jewish clerics so that everyone would have the right to be atop the mount and pray at this holy site for the 3 faiths.  He wanted to have his dream of a multi-faith council to run the compound.  The Muslim mosque would not have been touched, but all faiths would be allowed up on top of the mount.

Moshe Dayan (1915-1981),  minister of Defense, deciding otherwise, gave the keys to the Muslim Waqf. Evidently, in his biography, Dayan clearly stated that the last thing he wanted was the Jewish Temple to be rebuilt, the Beit Hamikdash.  We are supposed to wait for the coming of the Messiah for that.  There is the Temple Mount Faithful Group that Stanley Goldfoot belonged to preparing for that day.  Being a progressive, Dayan didn't consult the Prime Minister or the Knesset, and the Israelis didn't get to vote on it.  That's who controls it to this very day.  Being Dayan was a war hero, there wasn't much Eshkol could do about it.   "Dayan had gone ahead and told the Muslims running the Temple Mount that they could continue to run the mosques there-and later went further by preventing Jewish prayer all over the Mount."  His reasoning was that he felt matters would get out of hand and lead to a religious clash.  He even told the chief of staff that the army chaplain was to remove the branch office he had established in the building which adjoins the mosque compound.  For this Moshe Dayan will be known as the man who gave away the Temple Mount giving the Muslims an opportunity to make Jerusalem a huge issue in creating a Palestine.

Jews have been allowed atop the Temple Mount but are not allowed to pray, say the Muslim rule.  Only Muslims are allowed to pray there.  Jews can't even look like they are praying.  Then the Waqf has done more construction on top and has thrown out relics from the Temple of which an archaeology team has begun to sift through the dirt.  It was deposited like garbage by the Muslims.

Since that day, Muslims have been trying to reclaim Jerusalem's Holy sites in order to de-legitimize the Jewish connection to the land and the city.   It's their way of wiping Israel off the map and into the sea.  Police are forced to bar Jews from entering the Temple Mount.  Of course the Muslims had threatened violence. No excuse is listened to, such as bringing children there to demonstrate rituals associated with the Temple, like the bringing of the first fruits on Shavuot.  People can't understand this and feel it's unfair to them.  However, hundreds of Jews were able to visit the Mount over Shavuot.  At times, dozens of Muslims sat and blocked the entrance of Mughrabi Gate, the one non-Muslims have to use to ascend the Mount.  Any Jews who could manage to run the gauntlet were followed and harassed by Muslims, yelling the whole time the Jews were up there.  This year a riot did break out and the police had to intervene and closed the gates and evacuating the Jews.

There's more than what meets the eye in this clash.  The Islamic Movement in Israel had told its followers that Jewish groups were planning to desecrate, storm or endanger the al-Aqsa mosque and even arranged buses for worshippers to come and "protect" the site.  Sheikh Raed Salah, head rabble-rouser said to his crowd, "We'll liberate al-Aqsa with blood and fire!"  He told his crowd that Israel wanted to build a synagogue on top of the mosque.  Hamas's Palestinian prime minister, Salam Fayyad, told some foreign ambassadors that the riots were due to "an assault by extremist religious settlers on the Temple Mount compound."  Syria's foreign ministry added that Damascus believes the Israeli security forces' invasion of al-Aqsa was part of Israel's scheme to Judaise Jerusalem and destroy the mosque"  I don't think these people ever read a real history book.  These were all lies.

Jerusalem and the Temple Mount are parts of Israel that are  re-establishing the Jewish National Home.  The synonym for Jerusalem happens to be "Zion."  Every day for 3 times a day for the past 2,000 years, Jews all over the world face Jerusalem and pray for it to be restored to its former glory.  It's unfathomable that Jews are banned by its own government from praying on the Temple Mount.  What a concession we have given to the Muslims!  What concessions have they ever given us to promote peace!  None.  Recently a female Knesset member decided to get to the bottom of this matter and find out why they can't pray there.  Many are angry with their government  for allowing this to happen.
                                                                     

Today, Jews pray at the Western Wall(Wailing Wall) that surrounded the Temple, built by Herod.  The Holy of Holies of Solomon's Temple was at the western end of the Temple is very close to this wall.  It was regarded as sacred as far back as the Talmudic Period of the 10th century CE.  From 1948 till 1967, Jews were kept away from this wall which is now under Jewish sovereignty.  On Shavuot 1967, 200,000 people visited.

In the meantime, Muslim adults and children are not taught of the Jewish connection to Israel and their land.  Muslims all over the world do not understand the depth of feeling Jews have for their holy places and their historical homeland.  "Palestinian and Muslim leaders must desist from the incitement against Israel and the deligitimisation of the Jewish connection to the land."

Islam's Influence in Holland

"Fifty years ago, very few Muslims lived in the Netherlands, but Islam was the most widespread religion in the Kingdom of the Netherlands as a whole. Until 1949, the Kingdom included what is now the Republic of Indonesia, with its predominantly Muslim population, while Suriname, which has a Muslim minority of mainly Indian origin, did not gain its independence until 1975. The first Muslims to settle in the Netherlands itself were Moluccans who left Indonesia in 1951, after it had become an independent republic"  Today Indonesia is the most populated Muslim majority country with 228,582,000 people of which 86.1% are Sunni Muslims.

Holland has had Muslims living there since the 16th century, especially from Turkey and Morocco as part of the Ottoman Empire traders, but lately have received many more from other Muslim majority countries.  In 2011 the population of the Netherlands was 16,696,000.

By January 1,  2005 there were 108,728 Twelver Shiites living in the Netherlands. They had 43,525 Iraqis,  36,683 Afghanis and 28,522 Iranians.

By 2006 there were 850,000 Muslims living in Holland.  38% were Turkish .  40,000 were Pakistanis, 34,000 were Surinamese, and 31,000 Afghanis and 27,000 from Iraq.

The census on October 24, 2007 showed that Holland's population was 5% Muslim.  By 2009 they had 825,000 Muslims or 6% of the population.

Jews have lived in Holland since the Roman conquest of 70 CE.  In 1946 25,000 to 30,000 were living there.  By 1980 the population had grown to 41,000 to 45,000.

According to Holland's information from 2005, 48% of the Dutch population profess no religion, 27% are Roman Catholic,   17% are Protestants, 5% are Muslims, 2% are of other religions which Jews would be one of them, and 1% are Hindus.  Jews make up 0.02 of the world population, but about 2% of the USA population.

Having this background, we can now understand a little more that there are currently more people with neo-Nazi views in the Netherlands than the number of Dutch collaborators with the Nazis during WWII.  Dr. Gerstenfeld just wrote an article that was published in the major Dutch news site Dagelijkse Standaard  saying this.  He continued with the fact that about 5 million Dutch have a satanic view of Israel.  A study asked people if they believe that Israel is conducting an extermination plan against Palestinian Arab and 39% polled said yes.  He said that millions of Dutch are back in the Middle Ages of mentality.  What is happening is that verbal harassment and physical attacks are on the rise against Jews.  "Cancer-Jew, dirty Jew, Jews to the gas. All the vulgar words you can imagine are whispered and shouted at us as we pass people by,” Benzion Evers, son of a rabbi in Amsterdam said. "There are physical threats as well, ranging from pushing and shoving to fist fights."

Netherlands Chief Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs said, “People often insult me in public. It can happen almost anywhere, such as at the train station in Rotterdam or in the center of Amersfoort, the town where I live. For instance, someone may shout at me ‘Yehoud’ —  a negative term for a Jew in Arabic. When I walked home from our synagogue a few years ago, a child of about 10 years old shouted out ‘Dirty stinking Jew.’

Anti-Semitic incidents in 2010 amounted to 124, with 113 reported in 2011.  That was a drop of 9%, but vandalism and assaults rose.  

There have also been frequent attacks on circumcision of which both Muslims and Jews are affected.  People become anti-Israel they say, from their friends' opinions.  Left-wing groups held a Kristallnacht ceremony, which commemorates the night the Germans broke all the windows of Jewish shops.     A few days ago, a higher court fined a religious Jew who didn't carry his identity card on the Sabbath.  (They don't carry anything, no purse, etc.) A lower court had found him not guilty.

Geert Wilders is a young Dutch parliament member who is trying to stop the Islamisation of the Netherlands and stop the immigration of Muslims from Muslim countries.  He says he doesn't hate Muslims but hates Islam.  He is one who has traveled to both Islamic states and Israel.  He is known for telling about the dangers of jihad,  and has called for a hard line against what he called the "street terror" exerted by minorities in Dutch cities.   There is much widespread Muslim anti-Semitism going on.

I'd say that Muslims to Jews here is about 3:1, and Jews are easily identified if they are orthodox.  Muslims attacking orthodox Jews is also happening at an alarming rate in France.  Both countries seem to be losing the battle of fighting anti-Semitism.  Jews have 2 choices; move to Israel or wear non-distinctive clothing till they get into their synagogue.  They may have to go incognito.  They are living in a dangerous environment.  The protection of their life is important.  Keep pushing for government assistance in fighting anti-Semitism but be prepared to be without it.  .

If this seems improper to do, remember what happened in the Spanish Inquisition when it was the government who had the ruling that you either had to be Catholic or leave the country.  Those Jews that couldn't pick up and go chose to be hidden Jews, and went underground with it.  During time spent with others, they pretended to be Catholics but practiced Judaism in the privacy of their home with their Kosher laws, Friday night meals, and prayers in Hebrew.  They handed down their history to their children.  It seems ridiculous that in this day and age something similar is happening in these two countries, and that Jews have to accept verbal and physical abuse just to get to their house of worship.  That's why Israel is so important to us.  It is our Jewish home, a place of life in a world of intolerance.  Jews in the Inquisition didn't have this luxury.  They had to make very difficult and dangerous choices.

Events Leading Up to December 21st

According to the Hebrew Calendar, this is the year 5772.  That means that the world was created in 3760 BCE.  The following cultures gave 6,000 years as about the time of existence for our present mankind.

The Mayans had an extraordinary calendar system, better than ours today.  Their date was 3114 BCE for creation.  According to the Hindus, the world was created in 3102 BCE.  The Hopi Tribe of Native Americans have the same sort of history.  They all feel the time is ripe for the end of times; or another calendar.  "Like the Maya, Aztec, and other Native American tribal wisdom traditions, the Hopi tell of a series of 'worlds' which have existed. Each may be thought of as a cycle of civilization. A common aspect is that we are currently in the 4th world.

 The Hopi describe the demise of the other worlds"  They are known to have the Prophecy Rock in Arizona.which goes back 2,000 years.  The first was by volcanoes and fire, the 2nd with a pole shift and the ice age, the 3rd by water which sounds a lot like the story of the flood and Noah's ark.  The 4th or "The final stage, called "The great day of Purification", has been described as a "Mystery Egg" in which the forces of the swastika and the Sun plus a third force symbolized by the color "red" culminate either in total rebirth or total annihilation, we don't know which. But the choice is yours, war and natural catastrophe may be involved. The degree of violence will be determined by the degree of inequity caused among the peoples of the world and in the balance of nature. In this crisis rich and poor will be forced to struggle as equals in order to survive."

2500 years ago King Solomon's Temple was built.  Today it is covered over by a Mosque in Jerusalem built in 691 CE.  Jews have wanted to build a 3rd, for the 1st had been destroyed and a 2nd built on the same spot.  Jerusalem is a sacred city to not only Jews, but the Christians and Muslims as well. Many Christians are all for the Temple being built as it fulfills their requirement to bring on the Messiah they are expecting.  In fact, Jews and Muslims also are expecting their Messiah as well around the same date.  Author Hal Lindsey thinks the Temple could be built next to the Muslim's "Dome of the Rock."  Those interested in this are still looking into a proper site.  Cohens are ready to serve and have been DNA tested for authenticity and have the Cohen gene that shows they are descendants of Aaron, the first priest and brother of Moses.   Moses (1391-1271 BCE) and Aaron were Levites of the tribe of Levi.

This is all very interesting because so many cultures have come to this conclusion using  many different methods.  Now  we again see the end of times being prophesied in the same manner.  December 21, 2012 is seen by many groups as a day that something fierce could happen.  Something like fire could come from the sky.  There is to be an alignment of the planets with the sun in the center on that date that we have never experienced.  It only happens once every 26,000 years.  This comes from the Mayan Indian calendar.

The Dead Sea Scrolls tell us more.  They were found in a cave in Qumran in 1947. That location was in Judah when the scribes lived there near the Dead Sea which is now in the area called the "West Bank."   One one them was the War Scroll that dealt with the end of days.  The creepy fact is that it tells of the final days as fighting the Persians, who are today's Iran, the Mesopotamians who are all the countries east of Israel, and the Assyrians who are today's Iraq.  The sons of darkness are mentioned as Edom, Moab, Ammon, Amalekites, Philistia, and Kittim of Asshur which could be referring to the Romans.

In it, we see Good versus Evil fighting.  There are to be  7 important battles.  People say that 6 have already occurred.  The first could have been the battle of 1948 when Israel was attacked by Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq when Israel was created once again.  The Lost Tribes of Israel are to return.  Some people wonder if they haven't already being Jews have returned to Israel from all corners of the world already of which we know for sure that the tribes of Judah, Levi and some of Benjamin are with us. According to scripture, it is they that will be fighting the sons of darkness.

However, if true,some of the sons of Benjamin  have found their way to Afghanistan and Pakistan along with many of the other tribes that were lost and now bear the new name of the Pashtuns.  They are Muslim and are not about to fight on the side of the Jews against their Muslim comrades.  They carry a convincing argument that they are our lost cousins but they hate us as we refused to accept Islam.  They are strong and mean fighters, according to them.  They are someone that the Russians couldn't bring down, so if one uses their imagination, one can easily see them fighting all the adversaries alongside Judah in the conquering of Canaan.  Tall, good looking men with a fierce trigger-happy temper, they haven't changed a bit.

Then again, all this could be relating about events of the days of the writers.  Perhaps it is just accidental that such correlations can be made.  When you think of it, it is amazing that Israel is in existence now and fighting the same old enemies of the past along with all these events coalesing at the same time.

On top of my computer sits a black and blue Y2K Bug.  He has 2 little white tusks and 2 black antennae on his head.  We thought the living end would happen in 2000 and here we are 12 years later about to embark on the 13th.  Nothing happened when we swung into the year 2000 and I'm hoping nothing happens on December 21st.  Are you ready for it?  One thing to zero in on is that all these horrid TV commercials for President will be finished.  Think of that and feel better.

Norwegians, Swedes and Why Their Attitudes Have Worsened Toward Jews

My maternal grandmother, Augusta Johansson-Gustafson, was born in Sweden in 1870 and came to the states when she was 18 years old in 1888.  She always said, "Oh, those Norwegians!".    I never knew why she didn't respect them.  Now our family has members from both countries.  We follow our father's religion, Judaism,  and it's discouraging to see the change in attitude in these two countries from the time of World War II.

Before the 19th Century, Jews couldn't even enter Norway without a "Letter of Protection," because the Danish limited the amount of Jews entering the country.  In 1840 this changed when a poet, Henrik Wergelang, argued for Jews to be allowed to enter and got the Parliament to agree.  650 Jews were admitted by 1891 when emancipation took place.  They lived in Oslo and Trondheim.  By 1920 there was a whopping 1,456 Jews in Norway.  In 1940 Norway was invaded by Germany and found 1,800 Jews living there with all but 200 being Norwegian citizens.

Norway's army surrendered and they had a collaborationist government led by Vidkun Quisling.  The Nazis demanded anti-Jewish laws which were implemented quickly so that by 1942, 770 Jews were sent to Nazi concentration camps.  760 were killed in death camps, but the underground had smuggling out 930 Jews across to the Swedish border. After the war, 800 Jews had survived and they, with displaced persons, were invited back by the Norwegian government. By 1996 Norway thought about restitution of Jewish property that had been confiscated by the Quisling regime.

Today there is one rabbi in all of Norway who is at the synagogue in Oslo.  Norway doesn't allow the koshering of meat, so it is imported from Denmark.  There is a 2nd synagogue in Trondheim and is the most northern synagogue in the world.  I have met online a Norwegian Jewish girl whose family didn't know they were Jewish.  She wound up going to Israel to find out about her religion more.  It was a result of the family escaping from the Holocaust and winding up in Norway.

Today there is a lot of anti-Semitism going on in Norway.  Their Center Party just proposed a law against male circumcision, a Jewish practice for baby boys at the age of 8 days.  If this law passes, they will be the first country to do so.  Just such a proposal was made in San Francisco, California recently  and was not passed.  In 1814 Norway had "The Jewish Clause" in their constitution which excluded Jews from the country.  This had gone on till it was repealed in 1851.


 The country has also taken in many Muslims, and wherever both groups reside causes lots of sparking hatred. Most of the anti-Semitic acts going on are committed by Muslims.  Muslim children are taught this hatred and it's showing up in the schools.  In 2009, 39 % of primary-school students in Oslo came from  immigrant families.   The latest event is about bullying a Jewish boy in school for the past several years which has resulted in his tormentors burning him on the neck with a burning-hot coin at an Oslo secondary school barbeque.  Why?  The boy's father is an Israeli, and this ticked off the students in their hatred for our tiny country.

 Though the country declares that they have a zero tolerance for bullying, nothing was done about this incident. Other Jewish students have been assaulted in their schools and teachers are known to just look the other way.  Their media plays a major role in reinforcing anti-Semitism.  For example only one media in Norway reported the burned student, and that was a Christian, Israel-friendly daily newspaper.  The political left shows a hatred for Jews.
Sweden
Jews living in Sweden are descendants of World War II refugees and Holocaust survivors who came after the war.  They also have Jewish refugees who fled Hungary in 1956 and others who left Poland in 1968.  Recently, Jews went there from the former Soviet Union instead of immigrating to Israel.  Stockholm has 3 synagogues and 2 rabbis.  One synagogue was built in 1870.  Gothenburg and Malmo also have a synagogue.  Here also, kosher meat must be imported from Denmark which is bought in Stockholm and Malmo.

Malmo has recently had an influx of Muslims, and the city has become a hotbed of attacks on Jews. There are only 760 Jews but 45,000 Muslims of Palestinian, Iraqi, Somali and even Yugoslavian heritage in this city of 293,900.   It has become so bad that many of these  Jews have had to move out of the city as they feared for their life.  Marcus Eilenberg, 32 year old attorney is taking his family and moving to Israel now.  The mayor is siding with the new population and has done nothing to stop the situation.  It really is a disgrace.  I even attempted to write some comments in an English newspaper online and was horrified by what people were saying and believing.

Both countries have their cultural elite whose attitude towards the Muslim influx seems to be that when their leaders rant against Israel and the Jews, their response is to join them in their rantings, calling this "solidarity."

Vicious Anti-Semitism in Malmo, Sweden

Malmo, Sweden was first settled by Jewish immigrants from the Holocaust as far as non Swedes go.  There were no problems until the Muslim arrived with their anti-Semitic attitudes and actions.  It has become a Muslim ghetto in south Sweden according to the Swedish Atlas reader EM.  The hatred for Jews has been growing and seen in the children as well.

I have a distant cousin that I have been in contact with through the genealogy website of Genie, being my maternal grandmother was from northern Sweden and came to the USA at age 18.  Through his suggestion I got onto an English newspaper to get in on their chat page about Jews and Israel several years ago.  Most everyone was decidedly anti-Semitic to the hilt!  I got so frustrated trying to explain facts that I finally gave up,  hearing from just one person who agreed and understood.  My grandmother would roll over in her grave if she saw how her people had become so deadened to people who were trying to live peacefully.

Here in Malmo we see the mayor, Itmar Reepatu, who uses anti-Semitic language and is one of the worst.  At Herb Garden School is one lone 65 year old male Jewish teacher, a survivor from Poland who was forced to hear a chorus of students calling out, Fucking Jew!  Fucking Jew!  His students no longer are listening to him, but instead rioting by pouring detergent on the floor and throwing things in the classroom.   The chanting continued with "Disqualification-la Jew!  Disqualification-la Jew!  Fucking Jew.   When Henryk walked through the corridor students yelled "Yahoud" while pointing at him.  That's Arabic for Jew.

Henryk Grynfeld, the teacher, remarked that in Poland he was a fucking Jew, and when he came to Sweden he was a bloody Pole, and now it's back to being a fucking Jew again.  It's getting worse, though.  Now students are calling out, "We should kill all the Jews!"  Henry is not teaching Swedes like my grandmother.  He's teaching mostly children from the Middle East who know nothing about Sweden's history and who watch a lot of Arab TV that too often have the same type of programming that German Nazis had.  There are some good students, he explains.  I bet they're watching Qatar's TV programming.

Other Jewish teachers have quit.and many families have left Malmo.  Sofia was a Jewish teacher who told of asking her students to draw pictures of Jews and how they depicted them as monsters with evil eyes.  Then a student said that "we want to kill all Jews."  She replied that then they could start with her because she was Jewish.  Someone then asked if she were Jewish.  After telling them she was, they were incredulous, saying, "But you're nice!"  Some started crying and she did, too, when she heard some say that they did not mean you.

But then one day a 9 year old stood outside her door and wouldn't come in, explaining that his parents wouldn't let him because she was Jewish!  And the Swedish people of Malmo do nothing to turn things around.  Could it be because they are afraid of their new immigrants?  Too bad, because when the Jews came to their city they could feel proud for saving their lives.  How do they feel now?  Ashamed, I hope.  This generation is one of weaklings who can't stand up for Human Rights right in their own city the way their grandparents and parents did.  .

Muslims Attacking Israel's Treatment of Christians ?

“People that live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” The pro Muslim people are busy trying to castigate Jews by saying in many BDS movements that they are unfair to Christians in Israel. That’s the opposite of facts. Israel has no reason or inclination to be that way. However, look at what happens in Muslim dominated countries and how they treat Christians.

 In Jos, Nigeria an attack of a blast on Christians just happened where 6 are dead and 9 injured after seeing a soccer game. Spectators were leaving after watching the European Champions Leage semi-final between Barcelona and Chelsea late Tuesday. In the Christian village of Gwa-Rim, the mainly Muslim Fulani ethnic group of gunmen attacked the villagers with 5 people killed. They had gone from house to house, and 2 of the dead were children.

 In fact, thousands of people have been killed in clashes between Muslim and Christians ethnic groups in central Nigeria in recent years. Jos happens to be the capital of Plateau state, is in a middle region dividing mainly Muslims and Christians. There have been lots of bomb blasts there. Why is it that differences of religion come along with the baggage of differences in politics?

Farrakhan's Spewing Out Anti-Semitic Rhetoric Again

Louis Farrakhan, almost 79 years old,  calls himself a minister of the Nation of Islam, and though Black himself, is practicing racism against Jews.  He is the radical leader of this Muslim branch of Islam  Though they are basically following Islam and attend a mosque, they believe that their founder in 1930, Master Wallace Fard Muhammad was the Messiah of everyone. Louis preaches Black Supremacy and goes as far as calling whites the devils.  64% of American converts to Islam are Blacks.  The Nation of Islam is the most popular group  Muhammad Ali and Malcom X belonged to the Nation of Islam. They're recently been reaching out to other people, such as Hispanics.   It is listed as a hate group.

He spoke to his group's 82nd annual Savior's Day celebration in Chicago on Tuesday and accused Jews of controlling the media.  He added that "Zionists" are tying to push Americans into war.  He continued to repeat anti-Semitic stereotypes and conspiracy theories.  He accused Jews of controlling the government, media, finances and entertainment. "In 100 years, they control movies, television, recording, publishing, commerce, radio, etc.  Jewish people were not the origin of Hollywood, but they took it over", Farrakhan claimed.   Oh yes, he has the audacity to say that he's not anti-Semitic, just telling the truth. 

This "controlling the media" is something I wish we could do.  So far, all I see in the media is slurs against Israel.  When my friends and I have written "Letters to the Editor" in rebuttal to some terrible charge against Israel, with facts, they never get printed.  The Oregonian seemed to only print bad-mouthing about Israel.  We're sometimes relegated to add our letters to the internet section where oldsters without computers never get to read; only reading printed letters in the papers.  As for TV news, I have found one station that has been fairly covering the news about Israel.  So don't tell me we " CONTROL THE MEDIA! The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) calls his speech "a textbook example of continuing potency of anti-Semitism and hatred that continues to exist in some segments to this day.

He seems to me to be very scared that black American soldiers will be sent to defend Israel in a war with Iran or Palestinians.  Not once has Israel called on the USA to help out fighting with them in its history of 64 years.  There's no need to panic people and create more antagonism against Israel.  It won't happen.  As far as Iran goes, it isn't only Israel that has been threatened.  The USA has been as well. We're little Satan and big Satan, according to  the radical Muslims.  Even Saudi Arabia is worried about Iran having an A bomb.  Saudis (Sunnis) are  not on the same page of Islam as the Iranians (Shi'ites). 

I shall hope that their numbers decrease.  I'd hate to feel that I was in danger everytime I met a black person.  Luckily, I have now and have had black friends who certainly don't fit the mold of this hate group.  One wonderful Christian I know even studies the Torah and writes his own blog about it at http://jeffmorton.blogspot.com/.  I have to stay on my toes to keep up with his knowledge.  These Nation of Islam people would do themselves good to read some of his comments about Jews.
