Palestinian Demands from Israel for Peace

The Jewish Homeland of 1920's League of Nations giving Britain the Mandate to create it and suddenly in April 1921 the major part became Transjordan-Arab land which was 80% of the land.  It had become a British protectorate.  Then it became Jordan, an Arab state in March 1946. 2 years before Britain's mandate was finished and they departed from what was to be called Israel in May 1948.

The "Palestinian" Arabs want a state carved out of Israel, who were the Palestinian Jews.  They have not wavered one bit in their demands.  The Palestinian Arabs  are not a tribe, such as  Hashemites of Jordan were, who have been forced to take in many Palestinian Arabs.  They came from all the neighboring states of Israel.  They were created out of the bungling of England who held the mandate and who were given the order of creating the Jewish Homeland.  However, England had other ideas, and flooded Palestine with Arabs during the time when Jews, who were escaping from Germany's Hitler needed a safe haven and were denied entrance.

Here's what the Palestinian Arabs continue to demand in their "peace" discussions with Kerry.

1.  The will not accept Israel as a Jewish state.

2. They will not accept the borders of 1967 created when all the Arab nations attacked Israel and lost.

3.  They will not accept any Israelis on Palestinian land or at border crossings and expect all Jews to get out of Judea and Samaria.  They keep saying it will be Judenrein!

4.  They demand the "right of return" for millions of Arab refugees and their descendants to ISRAEL.

What part of  any one of these demands is not seen as asinine and impossible for Israel to agree to?

 Has Israel just lost a war we are not aware of and in the position of ceding everything they have struggled to have for the past 65 years?  

What the Palestinians have done after Israel left Gaza has been to have their own squabble as to who is their leader with Hamas terrorists winning that round and kicking out Fatah into Judea and Samaria.  They are a divided group to start with and did not abide by the peaceful terms of which Israel left Gaza.  That was for peace between the two entities.  It turned out to be just the opposite.

 The Arabs have bombarded southern Israel since 2001 with rockets, mortars and missiles.  They do not keep their word and are not a peaceful people.  Their agenda or charter is that of the Muslim Brotherhood of which Obama was promoting in the Cairo talk after becoming president.  He continued to favor them throughout the Arab Spring which took place in Egypt with Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood president, was "elected."  He has withheld monies from Egypt due to their getting rid of Morsi, still showing favoritism for a group who are ready to wipe out Israel. This doesn't give much credence for Kerry being aware of all the pitfalls that the Palestinians are throwing at Israel.  My fear is that he is actually very much aware of the absurdity he is expecting just to make a name for himself as some sort of peace mediator.

No  one is more tired of the calamity of Palestinians wanting their own state, that being part of Israel, than Israel is.  We know that Europe and the USA are tired of the badgering of the past 65 years, but they are not in harm's way because of it.  Israel is.  Had England carried out the mandate as so expected in the first place and had showed some spine with the Palestinians, their warring would never had carried on for so long.  In fact, according to the efforts of research of  Joan Peters in her book, "From Time Immemorial," the British brought in more  Arabs.  They have not been shown the boot.  Whereas Jews had to wait 2,000 years to get their own land back once again, the surrounding nomadic Arabs were only thinking of having a land for the first time in 1967 at the encouragement of the Arab countries who failed to win their aggressive battle against Israel then when they attacked this fledgling state of determined people who put their faith in G-d to help them.

The Palestinians were offered the chance to have their own state by the British in 1948 and they have refused up to 1967.  That's when they tested the world and  called the shots, and they saw that they still had clout.  The world, so afraid of being shut out of an oil resource, is afraid to raise their voice to the Palestinians, who are backed by all their Arab brothers.   It's either that or the world is still so anti-Semitic that they can't see that Israel is being screwed again in these ridiculous peace talks that are going nowhere.  The first requirement for peace talks should be that the Palestinians are willing to accept Israel as a Jewish state.  That's it.  That's what it is.

Sadat came to Jerusalem and made peace between Egypt and Israel.  Jordan has been peaceful for the past 41 years.  There is no indication that the Palestinian Arabs even want to be peaceful.  They're still spokesmen for the Muslim Brotherhood who have not accepted peace with Jews.  Just look at their demands.

Jews, The Original Sons of the Land; from King Hussein of the Hejaz

Jews came from Israel and Judea which they lost by 135 CE after being there with Moses and entering the land called Canaan in 1271 BCE.  That's almost a 1,500 year history of living there.  Since then, they've not had a homeland for 2,000 years and had lived in misery and suffered from anti-Semitism.  People have lived in America for only 413 years and we know how we feel about our land.

The Ottoman Empire ruled Palestine from 1517 to 1917.  They were on the side of the Germans in WWI which started on July 28, 1914 and ended on November 11, 1918.  Germany greatly influenced the Arabs throughout WWII as well.  Already in 1916 the Ottoman Empire's southern region was to be mandated by France and Great Britain under the Sykes-Picot Agreement.  France was given the mandate over the  land mass  that became Lebanon and Syria,  and Britain was given the mandate over the land mass that became Trans-Jordan, then Jordan, Israel and Judea-Samaria.

On November 2, 1917, the British Government issued the Balfour Declaration.  This document pledged support for the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.  They were in sympathy with the Jewish Zionist aspirations and had met many times with the Jewish leaders.  All the allied governments were parties to the antecedent negotiations and approved the Declaration.

 So did some of the main leaders of the Arab national movement such was Emir Feisal, born May 20, 1885,  who is an ancestor of the present day King of Jordan.   He became King of the Arab Kingdom of Syria or Greater Syria in 1920, and was King  of Iraq from 23 August 1921 to 1933. He was a member of the Hashemite dynasty. On January 3, 1919 an agreement was reached between Emir Feisal, also the chief Arab delegate at the Paris Peace Conference and the son of King Hussein bin Ali, Sharif of  Mecca, the Grand Sharif of Mecca which means he was a descendant of Mohammad,  and Dr. Chaim Weizmann of the World Zionist Organization.  This is when he endorsed the  Balfour Declaration  and Palestine was recognized as a separate Jewish entity.  The Arab State would maintain diplomatic relations with them on condition  that Britain and France met the Arab demands in other territories.   The mandate the Britain held was to see to it that this was carried out.

The Mandate extended over both sides of the river Jordan.  Judea and Samaria had existed there.  As early as 1922 Britain divided the Mandated territory in half and established an Arab emirate in Trans-Jordan. Winston Churchill, then the British colonial secretary,  negotiated this in 1922.   This deprived the Jews of any rights to the land east of the river.  Then Britain made it forbidden to Jews to buy land or settle there as well, clearly against the Mandate rules.

At the same time, leaders of the Arab national movement were negotiating with Britain for the recognition of Arab national rights in the former territories of the Ottoman empire throughout the Middle East. Not only did Emir Feisal want to be king of a large piece of the empire but his brother, Abdullah did also.

 King Hussein of the Hejaz, Hussein bin Ali,  was born in 1853 in Istanbul as the eldest son of Sharif Ali ibn Muhammad and his wife, Salha Bani-Shahar. He was the last of the Hashemite rulers over the Hejaz to be appointed by the Ottoman Sultan. As a Hashemite, he was highly respected in the Islamic world. It was his "noble" lineage which granted him the status he maintained in the Hijaz. As a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad, even the British, during his period as Emir, recognized this special status. He wrote the following:

"We saw the Jews...streaming to Palestine from Russia, Germany, Austria, Spain, America...The cause of causes could not escape those who had the gift of deeper insight;  they knew that the country was for its original sons, for all their differences, a sacred and beloved homeland."  (Al Qibla, Mecca, #183, March 23, 1918;  George Antonius, Arab Awakening. p. 269)

The British were most ambivalent as to their policy.  At times they allowed Jewish immigration and at other times it was severely restricted and they prohibited Jews from even buying land at other times.  This was pre-holocaust era when European Jews needed to enter Palestine.  It meant life or death.

Today I see college history professors giving the Balfour Declaration a slight glance, telling students that it was not a serious document giving rights to the Jewish people which is completely incorrect.  All the nations, and they belonged to the League of Nations at that time, the precursor of the United Nations, had agreed that the Jews were to have this Homeland and to the land which was involved.  The Jews wound up with only 20% of the  original land promised because of the British finagling.

Chaim Weizmann, Zionist leader, had helped the British to win the war against the Ottoman empire in 1917-1918 with his organic chemical invention relating to the fermentation of acetone-butyl which improved the weaponry used by Britain.  Without it, no matter how many weapons were used, they could have lost the battle.

At any rate, Jewish political rights were restricted.  Arab objectors were often favored if not fostered.  Immigration of Jews were limited.  Jews went ahead anyway and founded new villages,  towns and cities, drained swamps, and planted forests.  Tel Aviv was expanded.  Arabs enjoyed the advantages they were receiving from all this.  However, by 1936 Arab rioting started in which was stimulated by the German and Italian Fascist governments who wanted to embarrass England in the Middle East.  Jews developing the country continued anyway without interruption.  The reaction of the British was to restrict immigration and the rights of Jews.  In the 1920s most of the Jews came from Eastern Europe.  In the 1930s, many Jews had escaped to Palestine from Nazi Germany.

By 1936 there were 384,000 Jews and 983,000 Arabs in Palestine. By 1948 the Yishuv numbered 650,000 Jews.  This was an awesome number as Moses had gone into Canaan with 600,000 men.   Had immigration been more open for Jews, the number would have been much higher.  Most of the Jews lived in the Tel Aviv area which is on the seacoast.  November 1947 was when Britain turned to the new United Nations who said to divide Palestine into independent Arab and Jewish states.  Jews said yes to their piece and Arabs said no and have been saying no ever since.  They won't settle for half; they want the whole piece.

Leaders of the Palestinians refused to recognize any Jewish national rights in the land and wanted complete Arab control over all.  They erupted into violence in 1920, 1921, 1929 and 1936-39 when 517 Jews were killed  in  terror attacks against Jewish villages and towns.  In 1929 they massacred 67 Jews in Hebron, destroyed their synagogues. Jews had lived there for 2,000 years.  The most influential Arab dissenter was the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini.   During WWII, he joined up with the Nazis and spent the war years in Berlin.

Countries today created out of the Ottoman Empire include more than just all the Middle East countries.  Algeria, Bahrain, Cyprus, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territory, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Republic and Yemen were part of the empire.  Arab countries occupy 640 times the land mass as does Israel.  The Arabs outnumber the Jewish state of Israel 50 to 1.  In the world of 6.7 billion people, 1.48 billion are Muslims.  That's 1/4 of the world population.  Jews number 12.9 million which is 0.2% of the world population.  Arabs aren't in any danger of being wiped out, except by each other.  Israel is a tiny but important state that must be recognized by the Arabs as having the right to exist in their ancient land.  

The Jews lived up to their part of the deal with the Balfour Declaration but the British did not.  Emir Feisal had also turned against the Jews, but not because of any action on their part.  Feisal Ibn Hussein  was the eldest son of Hussein, sherif of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  He had led the uprising of Arabs against Turkey (Ottoman Empire) from 1916 to 1918.  He had been sympathetic to Zionism and hoped to receive help in building his future kingdom from the Jews this way.  Later, after meeting with Weizmann, he was expulsed in 1920 from Syria by the French, who also held the mandate on that part of the Ottoman Empire.  His brother, Abdullah, became King of Iraq on April 1,  1921, so he was rewarded right away by the British.  This Abdullah is the gggrandfather of the present day King of Jordan.  The other Palestinian leaders, influenced by the Germans, who the Ottoman Empire supported in WWI, then influenced Emir Feisal who turned against the Zionists.  Thanks to the French-British connection, all the good plans fell apart that had been reached by Weizmann and Feisal.

When Jordan attacked Israel in 1967, they kissed good-bye to their hold on Judea-Samaria and east Jerusalem.  They had lost that war along with all their Arab neighbors. Israel didn't kick out any Palestinians but Israelis felt freer to move to Judea and Samaria, holy places to Jews.  Since when do countries keep land when attacking another and losing?  Israel gained rights that they should have had in 1948 .  What would have happened to Israel if she had lost that war?  What was the purpose of the Arab's attack in 1967 if not to end Israel?  What is the purpose of the Palestinians not sitting down to make peace with Israel  for 65 years and establish their Palestine in an acceptable manner?

Britain Goes Anti-Semitic on Holocaust Day

G-d forbid that the Islamists in Great Britain would think that Britain does not love them.  Evidently the Brits do not care what Jews who might still be there feel, from what was just said.

David Ward, b: July 8, 1938 member of Prime Minister David Cameron's governing Liberal Democrat coalition and a university president, made a speech on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which was yesterday.  He said that he has visited Auschwitz twice and was saddened that Jews, who suffered so much are now inflicting atrocities on Palestinians in the new state of Israel and continue to do so on a daily basis in the West Bank and Gaza. I've heard the same comment from a former Muslim friend.

That should be considered a crime to say such a thing.  We Jews are taught in the Ten Commandments not to spread such lies.  This can only be said by a man who doesn't know what he is talking about and has been brainwashed by his fellow friends, who most likely include a few Islamists.

He called Israel's government an "apartheid regime" and it is the only Democratic government in the Middle East and is made up of Jews and Palestinian Arabs, so it certainly isn't apartheid.  However, it is the only Jewish nation in the world.  Britain itself is an Anglican nation.  There are 48 Muslim countries in the world today.   During London's 2012 Olympics, David Ward encouraged anti-Israel protests at venues where Israeli athletes would be playing or participating.

The Sunday Times of London followed suit and published an anti-Semitic cartoon showing Netanyahu with a hooked nose building a wall out of Arab body parts using blood as mortar.  This is just like the Nazi propaganda!  Note that this came out on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, and they commemorated it by giving voice to imagery that made the Holocaust possible.

My outrage has been joined by others in Britain as he is now going to be disciplined for his words and actions.  A formal complaint has been made by whip Alistair Carmichael and the Educational Trust.  .  

Anti-Semitic acts have been happening more often in Europe so much that many of Malma, Sweden's Jews have had to leave.  Reports come from every country.  As a country, Great Britain has been anti-Semitic for the past 1,000 years or more, but individual people have not.  Britain held the mandate after WWI and promised land from the Ottoman Empire to the Jews for the creation of the Jewish Homeland and then changed course in the middle of everything by giving away 80% of that land to Arabs who also thought they should be paid in kind for their cooperation in fighting the Ottomans.  Brits showed their antagonism towards the Jews during their stay until they left in 1948.  One would think they could get over it, but evidently not, when the government leads the way.  It's enough to have done serious harm for Israel, though, even with his weak apology.

1938 Desperation: For Jewish National Homeland Entrance But Denied

Hitler was in the act of persecuting Jews in the 30's who had become the scapegoat of the ills of Germany.   It was a time when small Jewish children weren't even allowed to play in parks with other children.  On the doors of schools was painted:  "Cursed be the Jew."


President Franklin D. Roosevelt called up an international conference at Evian, France for July 1938 which was called a humanitarian gesture of concern for Jewish victims of the Nazis but had no solutions for reducing emigration barriers of these people.  Jews had been standing in lines in Vienna and other cities trying to leave and escape the Nazi persecution without success.

Austrian Jews seemingly overnight were stripped of their security rights and all their property in most cases.  By the end of April 1938 more than 500 Jews had committed suicide.  They saw the Jews in Vienna and other cities turned down by all the foreign consulates one after the other.  No country would take them in.  Only a few countries had quotas that hadn't yet been filled while many wouldn't allow Jews in at all because they did not have baptism certificates.  .

32 countries could not bring themselves to help out the Jews and Palestine, according to the British who held the mandate of rule there stated that "only limited immigration could even be considered."  They said that its absorptive capacity of Jews" had been pronounced to be full."  Truth was that they did not want Jews to enter, and they were the ones holding the mandate with the responsibility to develop the Jewish Homeland, and they were doing everything possible to keep Jews out.  Such people as Anthony Eden, Britain's Foreign Secretary from 1935-1938 and innumerable other positions  was most anti-Semitic.  His secretary noted in his diary in 1943 that he is immovable on the subject of Palestine.  He loves Arabs and hates Jews.  Britain's Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, who shaped so much of British policy from 1937-1940 told his cabinet that " if we must offend one side, let us offend the Jews rather than the Arabs."  So at a time when Jews needed their own land desperately, they could not enter what was designated to be  the Jewish Homeland save but a few.  Thus, 6 million Jews were slaughtered in the Holocaust.

Chaim Weizmann was kept out of the Evian meeting because Jews had no state to represent them and only states were invited to the meeting.  He couldn't even speak in a private meeting there because Great Britain protested against it.  The United States was not about to change their laws at this crucial point in time to allow more than their usual restricted amount of Jews into the country.  The USA quota of Jews per year  from Germany and Austria combined was 27,370 and that was not changed.

Peru also had strict quotas for Jews entering their country.  They also had a ban on doctors and lawyers out of fear of an invasion by intellectuals.   They praised the USA for their quotas on Jews and said that this guided their immigration policies in Peru.  The rest of the countries followed suit.  The one exception was Santo Domingo who offered to take in 100,000 refugees, and Holland and Denmark, who decided to let in refugees without restrictions.  We know what happened to Holland's Jews towards the end of the war with "The Diary of Anna Frank."  Denmark was then invaded by the Nazi in 1940 so Jews were under attack then.  The Danes managed to help many of them escape to Sweden.  Only 645 Jews made it to Santo Domingo  though 5,000 visas were issued.

What Jews Did During World War I

World War I started; the axis (Germans, Austrian-Hungary, Ottoman Empire) against the allies the rest of the Western powers, ie Great Britain, USA, etc.)  What was the cause of the war?  Not the Jews.  Long-term causes of the war included the imperialistic foreign policies of the great powers of Europe, including the German Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire, the British Empire, the French Republic, and Italy. The assassination on 28 June 1914 of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, by a Yugoslav nationalist, (Gavrilo Princip, a Bosnian Serb)  in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina was the proximate trigger of the war.

 Jews lived in Germany. In 1910 there were 615,021 Jews.   The World Zionist Organization 's center was in Berlin, so they decided at the beginning of the war to have a liaison office in Copenhagen, Denmark, which was neutral.  Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire at that time. In the beginning of the war Jews found themselves on both sides of the war.   The supporters of the allies or "alliance" between England and France were in a minority but included Chaim Weizmann in London and Ze'ev Jabotinsky, who got busy and established a Jewish Legion in the British army.  Pinhas Rutenberg went to the USA to  do the same thing in the American army, Baron Rothschild in Paris and Joseph Trumpeldor, who with Jabotinsky created the first auxiliary unit in the British army and were known later as the Zion Mule Corps.

Chaim Weizmann invented acetone, important in making explosives,  as a chemist which helped Britain to win the war.  The importance of Weizmann's work to the ongoing war effort encouraged Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to issue the Balfour Declaration of 1917 in support of Weizmann's Zionist objectives as Weizmann ascended to the presidency of the British Zionist Federation.


On 2 November 1917 the British government sent a declaration of sympathy with Jewish-Zionist aspirations and approved it and published it as the Balfour Declaration after its author, Lord Balfour.  The government approved the declaration on October 31, 1917, the same day the British attacked southern Palestine which led to the conquest of this area and of Jerusalem within 6 weeks.
In 1917 the British had 2 new Jewish battalions in the army that would fight on the Palestine front:  one from England with Ze'ev Jabotinsky  and the other from the USA by David Ben-Gurion and Yitzhak Ben-Zvi.  By 1918 a 3rd battalion was in Eretz Israel.

The Jews in Palestine, called the Yishuv, lost many people and suffered a lot.  The population went down from 85,000 to 56,000 because of people leaving, deportations, economic situation and disease.  Turkey had told all foreign nationals in Palestine to take out Turkish citizenship or leave on October 30, 1914.  That began the Jewish exodus.  The Balfour Declaration was published and that along with the British forces conquering Jerusalem was thought to be a part of the Messiah's coming.

Finally 400 years of Turkish rule came to an end in September 1918.  The British military regime replaced it and the Jews thought that soon, because of the Balfour Declaration, its promises would come to fruition.

On June 4, 1918, Weizmann met with Emir Feisal in south Transjordan to discuss cooperation between the Jewish and Arab national movements.

August 20, 1918, a delegation of doctors and nurses from the Hadassah Organization of America arrived in Eretz Israel with medical equipment to help Yishuv members who needed medical attention from the effects of World War I.

November 11, 1918, end of WWI.  Chaim Weizmann became Israel's first president on February 1, 1949.
