Netanyahu's Next Move To Protect Israel

                            Hamas is a terrorist organization..  Palestine is to have no Jews in it, just like Saudi Arabia.

Evidently the USA in no longer regarding the Oslo Accords as having any merit, for they are allowing the Palestinians, in planning their Palestine, to have a terrorist led government.  Area A was to be exclusively Arab, no Jews.  Area B was to be all Arab.  Area C was to have "full Israeli civil and security control" and the plan was for Israel to withdraw from 13% of it, but they only were able to withdraw from 2% and the actions of the Arabs caused them to perform Operation Defensive Shield, meaning the Arabs had attacked more than could be tolerated which showed no peaceful intent.  Hamas really brought this on themselves.  Israel retains 61% of Judea-Samaria.  The Palestinians also have Gaza as part of their state which has 141 square miles.  

Area C in Judea-Samaria, scene of Israel's ancient history of Israel and Judah found in the Bible ,  is now threatened by the USA being first to recognize an unsettled Palestine with a Fatah-Hamas government patterned after Lebanon's that will not have any Jews living in it.  Area C was allowed to have Jews in the Oslo Accords.  It amounts to 375,000 Jews who live there as of  2013, probably a few more today.  The city of Ariel is the capital of  this Judea-Samaria district. The 3 other cities are Betar Illit, Ma'ale Adumim and Modi'in Illit that house Jews.   When the Assyrians attacked Israel in 720 BCE, the northern Kingdom fell and was renamed Shomron (Samaria).  Judah was created after King Solomon had died in 920 BCE and his son, Rehoboam,  became king.  At the time of 722 BCE, Ahaz was king.  The area of the Judea and Samaria district covers only 2,270 square miles which is but a portion of the ancient lands of Judah and Samaria.

"In July 2012, a government-commissioned report by the Levy committee asserted, based on a number of reasons, that there is no legal basis under international law to refer to Judea and Samaria as "occupied territory". Article 43 of the Fourth Hague Convention of 1907 is the basis of the Levy Committee's opinion. Its opinion may be found on the Internet with an English translation"  "The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law,"  They call them "occupied territories."  Israel calls them "disputed territories."  

Obama  just settled the dispute by recognizing them as  Palestine, state for the "Palestinian" Arabs, recent immigrants who left their homes at the creation of Israel and instead of returning when the fighting was over, remained in refugee camps where most remain today, taken care of by the UN.  

Israel was willing to go along with a 2-state solution, not wanting to change the nature of Israel as a Zionist state, refuge for Jews who were suffering from anti-Semitism, but can't accept a terrorist state bent on their destruction.  Kerry didn't manage to change their minds about that, which was understood being they refuse to change their charter of Hamas nor their goal to destroy Israel lying in their hearts.

There must be an international law that a state cannot be created that has a terrorist government intent on destroying its neighbor.  This is what the UN was created for, to keep such things from happening.  The UN is not living up to its original charter.  It's not all over yet.  So far the USA was the first to recognize this state and we haven't heard from the Western states as yet.  

First off, the PA violated the Oslo Accords by taking unilateral action and applying for membership in 15 different international organization for statehood.  This went against the peace process and caused the halt to it, yet Kerry blames Israel.   To top that off, the USA has hurried to be the first country to recognize a state of Palestine, a Palestine that will have a ruling government of Hamas terrorists just like Lebanon's Hezbollah government plan.  

Israeli MK Bennett came up with an idea that Israel should have sovereignty over Area C of Judea and Samaria back in 2010, but the USA crushed that idea quickly.  Now, with the threat of having an honest to goodness terrorist state in their back yard, Netanyahu has to come up with a plan B as to what to do.  He threw out the idea of the need to separate from the Palestinians, which is going to be some trick being they are so close.  They did this once in Gaza and it was a complete mistake.  A poll was taken and 60% of Jews opposed a unilateral withdrawal from the area.  20% of Israel's citizens are Arabs and 2/3 of them support withdrawal.  

What is the USA suggesting now that they have  started the wartime atmosphere, something not expected in a peace process?  They have the wait and see attitude like they had with Syria and Ukraine.  Before recognizing Palestine they failed to get any written guarantees about peaceful behaviors from the Palestinians who are still dropping rockets on southern Israel.  In fact it just happened today again and a rocket was shot into southern Israel, the 108th since the first of 2014.  .  Now, Israel can expect more terrorism to come from Judea and Samaria on the east side as well and continued shelling from the west from Gaza.  Well, they said that they'll be watching all of that very carefully to ensure that that doesn't happen.  Watching doesn't stop anything.  It's been going on since 2001 from Gaza already and I haven't seen anyone try to stop the terrorists except Israel.  So now they'll do the same thing and watch some more.  USA is not about to get involved.  They'll following the adage, "We don't mix in."  

 Isn't this all prophesied in the Bible?  Some great big blowout is expected to happen against Israel.  I think John Kerry and Obama are not wasting any time getting the bombfire lit.

Palestine Copying Hezbollah-Run Lebanon Government

Kerry went to Beirut, Lebanon yesterday to tell that country to pick a president and end their stalemate.  They haven't been able to do this because Hezbollah is in charge of the country.   Hezbollah (Party of God) came into power in 1982 when Israel let Major Hadad of Lebanon to go it alone and go to stop the PLO in their camp.  They had been fighting against Hadad and attacking Israel.  Hadad and his men were Christians, and the country, according to Lebanese law, needed a Maronite Christian to be the President of this Muslim majority  state.  Hadad was helping Israel to guard its northern border.

According to Wikipedia, Lebanon has a president who is Tammam Salam born 1945 and who started his term in office on May 25, 2014.  He is the incumbent of the Independent Party.  He had to step in because they hadn't been able to choose a Maronite Christian.  "This agreement had to be suspended three times, when two Muslims, the former Prime Ministers had to step in as Acting Presidents, Selim Hoss in 1988, Fouad Siniora in 2007 and Tammam Salam in 2014"  Since this isn't the first time they have had problems in picking a Maronite Christian but had solved the problem, did they really need Kerry to tell them to get with it and  end their political stalemate?  

Now, this united Hamas-Fatah government of Palestine that the USA is already accepting (PUG) is based on Hezbollah's model in Lebanon.  The deal is this:
1. Hezbollah terrorists are a part of the government
2. They  get to run their own large and independent army.
Conclusion:  Hezbollah controls most of Lebanon.  Lebanon is in an official state of war with Israel.

Hezbollah fought a guerrilla campaign against Israel in southern Lebanon until Israel withdrew in 2000.  Then they emerged as a leading political party in post-civil war Lebanon.  On July 12, 2006, Hezbollah launched a military operation against Israel and killed Israeli soldiers and abducted 2 as prisoners of war.  This caused Israel into having a major military offensive against Hezbollah. This 2nd Lebanon War ended on August 14, 2006.   The war lasted 34 days and 1,000 Lebanese were said to be dead from it in Lebanon.  1,000,000 were displaced. It was a stalemate.   This was seen as Lebanon coming out of it as heroes.  This helped them to topple Lebanon's government.  It looks like they are still in the driver's seat.  It was Iran who backed and supported Lebanon during the war and probably afterwards, too.  .

Hezbollah dominates the country's domestic and foreign policy and their military machine is better than the national army.  It makes the final say on appointments.  Hezbollah subscribes to the Iranian paradigm of wilayat al-faqih. The doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih forms the central axis of contemporary Shi’a political thought. It advocates a guardianship-based political system, which relies upon a just and capable jurist (faqih) to assume the leadership of the government in the absence of an infallible Imam. However, although the guardianship of a high-ranking religious scholar is universally accepted amongst all Shi’a theories of governance, any disagreement is focused on the details such as the role of the jurist and the scope of his authority.  

 Ahmad al-Asaad, leader of the Shiite party, believes that "we must get rid of Hezbollah in order to build a viable state. Washington is funding the Lebanese Armed Forces which everybody knows is under Hezbollah control.
                                                                           

                                              Hamas Terrorists will have free reign.

Aren't we thrilled that Palestine is copying the Hezbollah terrorists' model for government?  Hamas will be just like them. They will run much of the show behind the scenes and also keep its independent army of terrorists and weapons.  Lee Smith, author of " THE STRONG HORSE, Power, politics, and the clash of Arab civilizations"  notes that their independent military organization will engage in terrorism.  The PA is only a legitimate cover while they wage war against Israel.  No doubt Washington will be funding the PA because Kerry is calling the Hezbollah terrorists a legitimate player when speaking in Lebanon and Syria.

Why bother labeling groups as terrorists when they are still involved and accepted by the USA?

Some are talking about the reason Kerry went to Lebanon, and don't think it was just for pushing for stability by electing a Maronite Christian as president.  It was to send a message to Israel.  Since Israel didn't bend in Kerry's running of a peace table, this could be quite vindictive of Kerry.  The USA is accepting a Palestine that has terrorists running the government, just like Lebanon has, and thus the USA will then be able to work with them.

Obama Decision Not Taken Lightly by Israel

 Backing Morsi as President of Egypt was another wrongful decision of Obama's.  It didn't go well with Egypt at all who ousted him in about 6 months after realizing the results of this decision.  

Dore Gold, past Israeli ambassador to the USA must be very disappointed with the Obama government since he commented that any international move that legitimizes Hamas is a dangerous mistake.  That's just what has happened with the USA falling head over heels in its rush to recognize the legitimacy of a Palestine with a government made up of a united Fatah and Hamas terrorists with a charter bent on destroying its neighbor, Israel.  Dore is also a foreign policy adviser to Netanyahu, who must also be extremely disappointed in their "friend," the USA. " Some friend," he must be thinking right now.

Ron Dermer, Israel's ambassador to Washington commented on his facebook page that "Israel is deeply disappointed" by the US decision to pursue "business as usual" with the Palestinians.  From Israel came the comment that America's position is a "slap in the face."  Congress members agree and 2 Republican senators called on the administration to reconsider aid immediately.

Netanyahu is asking other nations to not recognize this unified government.  He said he is "deeply troubled" by this decision of the USA.  "All those who genuinely seek peace must reject President Abbas's embrace of Hamas, and most especially, I think the USA must make it absolutely clear to the Palestinian president Abbas that his pact with Hamas, a terrorist organization that seeks Israel's liquidation, is simply unacceptable." he implored.  Yes, but I ask how Obama can retract what he has decided and be believable.  He is so two-faced already.  He's had all the time in the world to realize that Hamas is USA stamped as a terrorist group and here he has gone ahead and ignored the meaning of terrorist.

A terrorist group is not just a private fighting force following gentlemanly international rules of fighting another army group.  They terrorize citizens, mothers and fathers and children and do horrendous things to these people.  They slit their throats and stab and kill and blow their bodies up.  Their acts are  inhuman.  They do barbaric acts to Jews.  The shoot-out at the OKCorral is sweet compared to what the Jews have met from them.

The Obama administration is trying to mend their bridges with Israel over this decision, but there's no way they can mend my heart with such a move.  Netanyahu is more politically minded than me, so I wonder how he'll react to all this.  To me Obama is trying to have his cake and eat it, too.  What the USA has said is that they are now going to recognize the new Palestine government and fund them as well with my tax money!  They think they deserve a chance to succeed.

When Obama says this, a chance to succeed, I wonder, to succeed at what?   Their main goal has been to bring down Israel.  That I don't want them to succeed.  They have had oodles of money from sympathetic nearby governments which they have wasted, making many of them, at least in Gaza, millionaires as accounts have written about.  What makes Obama's government think they will be successful when they are telling the world that now they will really be in the position to destroy Israel?  Are we living an Alice in Wonderland mindset?

Israeli officials have nothing but harsh criticism for this turncoat decision. Marie Harf from the state department thinks that the new government didn't include any radicals against Israel.  Ha!  Ismail Haniya, Prime Minister of the Hamas government, is adamant about destroying Israel and he's in the government and already making speeches about his goals.  Is Marie asleep?

Marie said that the Obama government will now be judging the new government by their actions.  Lady, look at what the actions have been. Mortars, missiles and rockets have been streaming down at southern Israel since 2001.  They are still actively doing such bombardments.  It's just that Israel has had to come up with a lot of defensive moves against it like bomb shelters.  I would just love to have you live in Sderot for a year under such conditions to see what those people have to live with, and now you've given them the green light to make it easier to kill Israelis.  What kind of actions do you think is going to happen.  Do you think that suddenly the Palestinians are going to be good neighbors without any preliminary change of heart simply because they have their state?

The disappointing thing is that these Arabs didn't come from a former state that they are trying to rebuild nor were they a people once upon a time.  They are an assortment of Arabs who were fairly nomadic and had entered Palestine such as it was; empty land where they could either put their tent up or create a mud brick  house without much static from any government and were mostly just squatters living on the land.  They met up with a few Muslims living there already who, we now find, some had once been Jews and had become Muslims and owned their acreage.  They only decided they wanted their own state after the 1967 War when the surrounding states urged them to do so after terrorizing Israelis didn't do the job of driving them all into the sea.  They've lived the last 100 years being brain-washed against Jews and against the idea of a Jewish state and have been the pawns used as weapons against Israel.  And now the Obama government thinks that overnight they will be peaceful neighbors.

Watch What Countries Will Recognize a Hamas-Fatah Palestine

What countries will tumble head over heels in their rush to recognize a Palestine that has a Hamas-Fatah government?  They have never accepted Israel's existence which was sanctified by not only the League of Nations but the UN later as well May 14, 1948.  Will this decision actually grow near even though they have walked away from the Peace Accords with John Kerry?

Hamas is a recognized terror group breaking all the rules established by international law to create a state.  The West will not have official dealings with them.  They continue to call for Israel's destruction and continually work on that by bombing their neighbor with missiles, mortars and rockets.  Recognition will only grant them the idea that the rest of the world is allowing such practice.  They will not be peaceful with Israel until they decide to change their charter and accept Israel's existence.

Did US Secretary of State John Kerry convey these facts to the Palestinians during their meetings?  He says he talked of this although we know Abbas of Fatah will never recognize Israel and neither will Hamas yet Abbas  had the audacity to Monday to say that the new government would be committed to these principles.  Why then, couldn't they agree when they met with Kerry?  Like the child who tells his mom that he'll stop teasing his sister when caught, then wiggles away and does it again 15 minutes later, these are just empty promises with nothing to back them up.

What countries will recognize Palestine now that Fatah and Hamas are united again?  They've been uniting on and off again throughout the past years, but being Abbas is nearing 80 years of age, wants to have something positive to leave in his memory, so is condescending to Hamas, who broke off from them.

 It will be the immediate Muslim countries of the area, of course, like Iran who is the most hateful of all the countries towards Israel,  Jordan who is already half Palestinian, and Syria's Assad, who wants backing,  Pakistan who has been noisily anti-Israel of late, and possibly Egypt will be last.  Then the outer Muslim countries will recognize it of which there are 48 in all, making Palestine the 49th at least.

Of the West, the countries who have the most to gain from such a recognition will fall in like Russia, Norway,  Brussels, Sweden, France, England, etc.

 The USA should be standing aside from such a decision.  They say they can only work with a government that endorses the "Quartet principles,"  which are:
1. Israel's right to exist
2. Renunciation of violence and terror
3.. Endorse previous Israels-Palestinian agreements
                                                                                 

The United States already promised Israel that they would not deal with any Palestinian government "backed by the terrorists, Hamas," so that really takes this out of the picture anyway, unless they break their promise.  Has the USA ever done that?    The Quartet is made up of Germany, USA's John Kerry, Russia and EU (European Union) of which Catherine Ashton is their rep.  Will they be a party to recognition without recognition of their own laws.

I would also add that the PA need to make back payments on their electric bill and from now on are responsible for supplying their own electricity and other needs and not depend on Israel to do it.

How did we ever reach the day when a terrorist group bent on the destruction of a neighbor state has been allowed to be at war with that state and then be on the agenda to become a state?  The UN allowed it.  Isn't their role to stop such things from happening?

It started in 2006 when George Bush allowed Hamas's participation to run for presidency of the Gaza Palestinians, thinking that this was democracy in action.  Instead, they won over Abbas and Fatah by showing they had more muscle power and probably used it in gaining votes.  Condoleezza Rice was secretary of state then and has written in her memoirs that the USA should have had each party disarm before they could run for office. I think there were more conditions that should have been met as well, like accept Israel first, throw out their textbooks teaching children to hate Jews, etc., or forget it until they do.   They put the horse before the cart.

Israel has put the USA first before their benefits that could have come from Russia, so I hope that the USA doesn't melt and just accept a Palestine along with all the other sheep.  Israel could have received $1 billion in defense trade and other projects with Russia.  Moscow also can influence others towards Israel because of their ties with their enemy like Iran and Syria.  Russia has done one good thing.  They cancelled a huge $300PMU (air defense) contract with Iran already.

Israel is left to protect its citizens from Gaza who fired rockets at Israel on Monday.  Israel's Air Force retaliated by striking 2 terror targets, the first retaliation in a month.  At the same time, the IDF retaliated towards Syria after their shells hit Israeli military posts on Mount Hermon in the Golan.  You'd think Syria had enough rebels of their own to strike.

Israel has stopped 11 attempts of a mixed bag of Palestinian Fatah and Hamas  and other terror-Islamic  security prisoners  from inside Israel's jails who were  trying to kidnap Israeli soldiers and citizens.  They were in the act of teaching others on how to do this.  The idea was to arrange their own release in a prisoner exchange deal.  (Ynet News).

We still see many people all over the world supporting BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) against Israel.  It happens the most on the USA campuses as well as in Canada, Australia and Europe.  People see themselves in the hero role championing Palestinian rights.  In Ramallah, now a Palestine capital, activists of the PA were seen  not as champions but as trouble-makers and law-breakers.  PA (Palestine Authority of Fatah) the movement goes against the real interests of the Palestinians.  The reason is that they are seen by everyone as radicals, and they want to be seen as people wanting a peace agreement with Israel using the 2-state solution, but this has also come to an end with the merger of Fatah with Hamas now.

There seems to be no group supporting Israel by championing their rights.  Even the USA's 6 million Jews are divided into 2 groups with J Street knocking Israel and trying to divert their policy towards what they want, living safely away thousands of miles in the USA. J Street is a competitor with AIPAC, who back Israel's rights and decisions and are not arm chair players in the policies.  We have the Presbyterians championing the Palestinian Christians who are being used by the Palestinian Muslims.  However, we do have the Evangelical Christians in Israel's corner along with the Israelis and other more conservative American Jews.  Egypt and Jordan are still keeping their peace.  You can imagine that a Palestine will not sign any peace pact with Israel.  Their first goal is to take over east Jerusalem.

The Capital of Israel: Jerusalem and Why It's Important to Jews

What city is the capital of Israel? It's what has always been our capital.   It happens to be Jerusalem, of course. Today, Jerusalem is a united city of which has 64% Jewish population.   According to Zechariah 8:3, Jerusalem shall be called "The City of Truth."  (Thus said Hashem, Master of Legions:  I have become zealous with great zeal on behalf of Zion (Zion is another name for Jerusalem) ;  I have become zealous with great wrath on its behalf.  Thus said Hashem (another word for G-d) :  I have returned to Zion, and I have made my dwelling in the midst of Jerusalem;  Jerusalem will be called "the City of Truth" and the mountain of Hashem, Master of Legions, "the Holy Mountain."  Thus said Hashem, Master of Legions:  Old men and old women will once again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with his staff in his hand because of advanced age;  and the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets. 

  It has been Israel's capital since 1948, when Israel was reborn again.  In 1973 there were 300,000 people living there.  This isn't the first time it has been the capital of the Jewish people.  It was their capital between 1000 BCE and 586 BCE, and again between 516 BCE and 70 CE.  In 70 CE it was overtaken and destroyed by the Romans.

About 5 minutes after Israel was declared a state via the radio on May 14, 1948, the people were attacked.  Jerusalem was divided into 2 parts. The UN had partitioned Jerusalem and had a resolution pertaining to this made on November 29, 1947 which provided for the creation of an independent area of Jerusalem under UN administration.  However, Arabs attacked Jews which soon reached the dimensions of a regular war between the Haganah and the Arabs who first showed up as the local bands of fighters and then the Arab Legion of Transjordan which put an end to the internationalization scheme.  The struggle lasted from from December 1947 to July 1948.

 During this period the Jewish quarter in the Old City had to be evacuated and was destroyed.  All the New City  but not the Arab quarters north of the walls fell into Jewish hands.  The Arab Legion tried to shell and starve the Jews of Jerusalem into surrender but this was foiled by the fortitude of the Jews and the opening of the Burma Road which restored the connection between Jewish Jerusalem and the coastal region.  So even though the USA and other countries have not recognized it as Israel's capital, Israelis always have.

 The west and south part  went to the new state of Israel as the whole city should have.  Israel also was able to hold onto Mount Zion and an enclave on Mt. Scopus.  The city extended westward by the construction of the Knesset and Government quarter (Ha-Kiryah) with the National Museum and University campus nearby.  New housing projects of which Kuryat Yovel, the largest, were constructed.  Herzl and other Zionist leaders were re-interred on a mountain west of the city on Mt. Herzl.  The slopes were laid out as a cemetery for soldiers who died on active service.  New rabbinical centers were also erected.  A number of factories were set up, but the city was the administrative center of the country.

Many rulers have occupied the country, but only for the Jews has Jerusalem been the capital of the nation living in this land which the Jews refer to as Eretz Yisrael (The Land of Israel).  In Psalms, 122,3, which we associate with King David's writings, he wrote that Jerusalem, which is bound firmly together..."  and so it is.  The wall that separated east from the rest of Jerusalem has been taken down and the city is whole and one again. So it was that on June 5, 1967 the outset of the Six-Day War, Jordanian troops in the Old City and Jordanian sections of the city bombarded the New City.  The Israel army reacted and 2 days later the entire city came under Israel's control. Jews had been denied access to the Western/Wailing wall for 20 years so that's the first place they went to and the end of this war.  On June 29, 1967, Israel formally united the 2 sections of the city and the barriers were removed.

 The built- up Jerusalem is like a city that is united together, for there the tribes ascended, the tribes of G-d, a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of Hashem, for there sat thrones of judgment, thrones for the house of David.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those who love you will be serene, May there be peace within your wall, serenity within your palaces.  For the sake of my brethren and my comrades, I shall speak of peace in your midst.  For the sake of the House of Hashem, our G-d, I will request good for you.  

The Jews living there today are the people with the longest unbroken historical association with the city which dates from the time, nearly 3,000 years ago, when King David (1010 BCE-970 BCE) made it his capital.  Only the Jews have made Jerusalem the focal point of national and religious aspirations.  It is the seat of the President of the State, the Knesset, the Government, the Supreme Court, the Chief Rabbinate, and Hebrew University and the Israel Museum.  So even though the USA and other countries have not recognized it as Israel's capital, Israelis always have. Israel is being truthful.  How can they possibly have returned to have a Jewish National Home without having Jerusalem as its rightful capital?  The state of Judah had Jerusalem as its capital and from Judah comes the name, Jews.  The Jews have returned and of course Jerusalem is their capital.  Not recognizing this right is the problem of the countries unwilling to see this, not Israel's problem. It's already written in the Bible.  Tel Aviv is not the capital!

What is the holiest shrine in Israel for the Jews?  It is the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) that dates back from the time of the 2nd Temple.  This is the place that the Pope just chose to visit.  He followed custom and wrote a note and placed it between the rocks of the wall to G-d.  This wall is in eastern Jerusalem, the area that the Palestinians now demand to make part of their new state of Palestine.  This is the city that they have no connection with, either religious or culture, expect that many have lived here from 1948 to 1967 when it was held by Jordan.  Though it was to be part of the Jewish Homeland, Jordan helped themselves and took it when Israel had to fight for the rights allocated to them by the League of Nations in having this land.  Jordan lost it in 1967 when all the Arab states attacked Israel and lost the battle of which Israel was outnumbered completely.  Logically, there was no way they could have lost such a fight, but they did, and so Israel's history is following the prophets of old; that Israel would be reclaimed and that Jews would return and Jerusalem would be its capital.

Jerusalem is also important to the other religions as well.  For Christians, they regard the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as their holiest place there.  For Moslems, Jerusalem is 3rd in holiness after Mecca and Medina.  It is 3rd because they believe that Mohammad made a trip there on his flying horse.  The name "Jerusalem" is never mentioned in the Koran.  It is mentioned 154 times in the Christian Bible and Zion is mentioned 7 times.   A mosque has been built on the Temple Mount where King Solomon's Temple once stood, the mosque of Al Aqsa and is one of the holiest shrines of Islam.  Holy places are each administered by the religious bodies to which they belong and have been since 1967.

Jerusalem has been called by many names.  Zion is one.  Others are the City of David, city of righteousness, the faithful city, the city of G-d, the holy city, city of truth, Ariel, and in Latin was Hierosolyma;  Yerushalayim in Hebrew, Aelia Capitolina by Hadrian which he dubbed his Roman colony that sat on the ruins of Jerusalem.  The Arabs call it el Quds (the Holy), or Beit el-Makdes (the house of Holiness, and in Hebrew it is Bet ha-Mikdash (Temple).

In 1967 the population of eastern Jerusalem was 139,000 Moslems and Christians and was added to the rest of the population making 493,500 by 1990.  Jerusalem Law of 1980 extended Israel's sovereignty over the entire city.  Excavations had been carried out at the site of the City of David were now supplemented by diggings around the western and southern walls of the Temple enclosure.  It is important to preserve artifacts  before our history is all destroyed by those that deny we ever existed there, which would be the Palestinians.

The population of Jerusalem today is 464,527 Jews and 228,690 Arabs which makes a total of 693,217. El Paso, Texas has more than 700,000 and Portland, Oregon has 583,776.  Cairo, Egypt has 6.76 million.  Amman, Jordan has a population of 2,842,629 of which half Jordan's population  are Palestinians.  Syria, a country that had over 22 million, has been so destroyed that the number in Damascus now is not known.  It had had about 5 1/2 million population and was Syria's 2nd largest city.  Aleppo was the largest  before the Civil War.

Regardless of whether the world wants to accept the truth that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel or not, it is in every aspect; religiously and according to the nation, it is the heart of Israel.  For we promised to pray to return to Jerusalem  when we were in exile or we would lose the cunning of our hands. We were never to remove Jerusalem from our  hearts and minds.   Psalms 137:5  If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill.  Let my tongue adhere to my palate.  If I fail to recall you, if I fail to elevate Jerusalem above my foremost joy, Remember, Hashem, for the offspring of Edom, the day of Jerusalem; for those who say, Destroy, Destroy! to its very foundations.  ...

PA's May 29th Elections? War or Peace

The PA said on the 23-24th of April that they would hold elections in about 5 weeks.  That would mean elections would be held around May 29th of this year.  In what direction are they planning to go?  Towards their own state living peacefully next to Israel or eternal war with Israel, for they should realize by now after almost 66 years of Israel's existence and constant growth and determination that they will not drive her into the sea.
                                                                             

The present PA is aiming for constant war.  They show this by brainwashing their children into hating Jews and Israel.  Recently an official PA TV program showed a young child saying a poem that called for "join a war that will smash the oppression and destroy the Zionist's soul."  How much clearer can you get than that?

The TV show has had 3 other children say this same poem.  The video shows a very young girl in traditional Palestinian dress wearing a pendant shaped like the map of their future Palestine but the problem is that it shows the entire area of Israel.  Therefore, again, this is another dramatic demonstration of their intent to take over all of Israel.  This girl is shown saying the poem in many different locations, no doubt giving the notion that it is the different parts of Palestine; in a field, on the beach and in a market.

One part of the program shows her behind barbed wire with pictures of Palestinian prisoners in the background.  What they do, I've noticed, is take history of the Jews and remake it into their history, thinking that if it worked for the Jews it should work for them.  Prisoners are in a prison, not behind barbed wire such as Jews were during the holocaust.  Just this past month Netanyahu released over 60 prisoners because of the demands of Abbas who wouldn't talk about peace between the two without this happening.  Then Abbas went against his word anyway by teaming up with Hamas.

 It this sequel, she says, "My name is Palestinian.  I've etched my name on all the town squares.  Saladin calls to me from the depths of my heart."  Saladim was a Muslim conqueror of Jerusalem, in no way connected to the Palestinians other than he was a Muslim.  Fatimid leaders of Egypt ruled until 1171 when they were defeated by Saladin, who became famous during the Crusades.  Saladin was a Kurd who captured Cairo and put an end to the Fatimid rule.  He was a Sunni.  In 1175 he declared his independence in Egypt and formed the Ayyubid principality.  He defeated the Crusaders in the battle of Hittin on July 4, 1187 and soon after that retook Jerusalem.  The history of Israel is one of constant changes of Muslims fighting other Muslims for ownership until it was in the hands of the Ottoman Empire (Turks) that lasted for 400 years until WWI when they lost it to the allies. (England, France, USA, etc).  They had been on Germany's side.  The poem neglects to mention that Jews fought alongside Muslims in the Crusades.  They were both targeted for death by the Crusaders who couldn't tell them apart anyway.  
                                                                       

The poem forges ahead with "All my Arabness calls me to vengeance and liberation...Thousands of prisoners and thousands who are jailed call to this great nation and call to millions.  ."  As you see in the picture above, they are claiming all of Israel as their "great nation" of Palestine.   Yes, many Palestinians have been jailed for atrocious acts of killing Israelis.  They have bombed and killed and when they do they are jailed.  Even though they have taken lives, Israel has no death penalty for that except in extreme cases in the past such as Nazi heads who ordered thousands of deaths of Jews.  It does seem like the Arabs are more interested in taking vengeance than in ever making peace.  As for liberation-no country liberates murderers. They were given sentences amounting to so many years.  They would be freed when their sentence ended.   The British hung Jews who fought against them before 1948 in "Palestine regardless of whether or not they had killed anyone.  If they were part of the Stern Group or Haganah, they had had it.

"They say:  To Jerusalem, the direction of prayer".  It is the Jews who have always prayed towards Jerusalem wherever they are.  The  Muslims pray towards Mecca where there Qiblah is.  "To war that will smash the oppression and destroy the Zionist's soul and raise the Palestinian banner in the world's sky and Strengthen my word that goes on:  Palestinian, Palestinian, Palestinian."  

I note the emphasis on the person-a Palestinian, not the land or country of Palestine.  To me the poem involves the people and who they are-which in truth they really are not.  They are being told over and over that only they-the Arabs, are Palestinians.  When the Arabs came to Eretz Israel in the 1880's looking for work with the Jews who were building their country, they said they were mostly Syrians when asked; not Palestinians.  Palestine was the name given to Israel and Judah by the Romans in 165 CE after Bar Kochba was overtaken in a 3 year war.  From about 1900 until 1948, both Jews and Arabs were then referred to as Palestinians on their passports and writings and by themselves.

These so called Palestinians are mainly from Syria but also people had come to work from all over the Middle East who needed jobs.  It is a conglomeration of many Arab people now forged together under the one name of Palestinians.

Now, the question is, are they going to want to create their Palestine now and live in peace or do they intend to keep on fighting Israel.  Perhaps the election will give us a clue.  Who will be up for election this time? Abbas has already been President for the past 9 years when he was only elected for 4 years.   Now that they have reunited with Hamas, does that mean they will unite as one and have one group leading from the 2?

USA's State Department Still Doesn't Understand Meaning of Jewish Recognition

The number one expectation that Israel needs from the Palestinians is that they recognize Israel as a Jewish state.   The USA's spokeswoman for the State Department, Jen Psaki, told the "Al-Quds" (name for Jerusalem in Arabic) newspaper that the Palestinians don't need to recognize Israel as a Jewish state in the peace agreement if they don't wish to do so!!!

What?  Has Israel now become occupied and run by the USA and they can change the provisions of a peace treaty at their will?  What kind of peace negotiating is this?

Sorry, but this is not going to be met by Netanyahu or the knesset with joy and approval.  This is such an  important point yet the USA doesn't understand what the consequences are legally that can happen if they don't recognize Israel as a Jewish state and yet they are so obvious.  Israel cannot be in a situation where they will be forced to accept millions of Palestinians in Israel.  It's only 8,000 square miles as it is and would be flooded with Palestinians changing the country completely into another Muslim state to be run by Emirs or Kings, whatever, people like the rest of the Muslim states.  Then the Jews would be slaughtered and Israel would be destroyed.
                                     
The reason Israel was created in the very first place was to have a safe place for Jews to live in, free of hatred and Holocausts and people trying to convert them to their religion.  It is to be a haven for our people.  After being set upon for the past 2,000 years by others, the League of Nations saw that it was high time that Jews could be left alone in peace, and this was before the Holocaust.   Stating it is a Jewish State is their only protection from keeping it from being consumed by the Muslims states.  Netanyahu knows why they won't accept Israel as a Jewish state, and it has to do with the Arabs then having the right of return on the table to flood Israel with Arabs.  Why can't the USA state department see one move ahead?

Showing that there is no way that Palestinians are even considering to make peace, like Jordan did, was the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, who said  "There is not a chance that he and the Palestinian nation will recognize Israel as a Jewish state".  Jordan already took over 80% of the promised Jewish Homeland and has been peaceful with Israel since the War of 1973.  The same goes for Egypt.  Sadat came to Jerusalem and made peace.  Egypt hasn't been trying to take over Israel's land.  Neither Egypt nor Jordan have accepted Israel as a Jewish state, however.  Their behavior so far hasn't called for Israel's needing it.  They made peace.
                                                                       

The concept and goals of a Palestine have been very undemocratic and quite like the Nazis.    They're demanding that Judea and Samaria must be all theirs and that no Jew can live there.  That's calling for the removal of about 400,000 Jews.  They want East Jerusalem, and Jerusalem is and has been since the beginning of recorded time the capital of the Jewish people.  To have a people drooling at the mouth to take over your country including a quarter of your capital  is just not going to happen.  Besides that, they've had many a Freudian slip that they plan on taking over all of Jerusalem.  It goes with the Hamas charter.   Fatah has joined Hamas in the past, only to be divided over who is the leader of both.  The only difference is that Hamas is hitting at Israel directly while Fatah has pulled the wool over the eyes of the world in pretending to want peace.  Sure, peace, like teaching their children with maps showing Palestine and no Israel, teaching songs of hatred for Jews.  They are fighting the battle between Jews and Palestinians with massive brain washing of their own people and this in turn has brain-washed many others as well.

 There has to be space between for security with a people unable to accept Israel on any count.  This is a people who have been attacking Jews since 1948.  There hasn't been much let-up.  Israel is still being attacked by Hamas terrorists and Fatah has had it's attacks as well; human walking bombs into restaurants and schools and such.  Hamas follows the Muslim Brotherhood Charter of destroying all of Israel and killing the Jews.  That's why it is absolutely necessary that they come to the conclusion that if they expect peace, they must accept Israel as being different from them; that they are a Jewish nation, democratic and wanting to enjoy life, and that 6 million of them, Jews, are following the laws of Moses.  Why is this so hard to accept?

Israel can't have a Palestinian state right next to them which will continue to fighting with the goal to destroy Israel.  One thing Israel is not is stupid.

All along, the Fatah Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria have been promoting hatred and denial of Israel in their culture, starting in their schools. They even celebrate the killers of Jews with lots of recognition and praise in city-wide programs.   They have done nothing to show that there will be peace between the two people.  Hamas continues to shell the parts of Israel within their scope of missile distance and vows never to make peace but to destroy Israel.  Abusive people we've got for neighbors.  And the state department thinks Israel can let them get away without recognizing them as a Jewish state?  They've got to be kidding.  Israel is not about to sign away their own land to a people who have been their enemy for the past 67 years.

Abbas Rejects Another Netanyahu Offer

               Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas,  rejects deal on Syria refugees Offered by Netanyahu  The scuttlebutt is that Jews would remain and Palestine could not be Yudenrein (free of Jews.).  Of course they didn't go for that.  Abbas isn't going against the Muslim Brotherhood Charter which is to take all of Israel and kill the Jews which seems to be what Hamas is carrying out.  .  

Is the world ready for another Muslim majority state bringing the total up to 49 or more?  Wikipedia's count is 49.  This would be Palestine, the name the Romans gave to Judah and Israel in 135 CE when they finally won a 3 year battle with the last Jewish leader, Bar Kokhba.  The name was a take-off of an enemy of Israel's, the Philistines, which was really rubbing the  defeated Jewish state the wrong way, which was their intention.  Evidently Abbas is still holding out to make his state Yudenrein, free of all Jews, for none can ever live in his state, which is the original land of the Jews.  


As long as Netanyahu has to deal with Obama on St. Patrick's Day with another meeting about "Palestine" being created out of part of Israel's 8,000 sq miles which make up the only Jewish state in the world, let me remind these American fence menders that the Arabs were not all  indigent to the land of Palestine, but many slipped in with Britain's help when they were holding the mandate to create a Jewish Homeland!  Just read  Joan Peter's revelations  in "From Time Immemorial.  At the same time, the British kept the Jews out, even when Nazi Germany was trying to exterminate them.

By 1914, at the beginning of WWI, the population of Palestine's land west of the Jordan River was estimated at 680,000 of whom 85,000 were Jews.

In 1920, 202 Arabs came into Palestine.
In 1921 190 Arabs came in.
In 1922, 284 entered Palestine.
By 1929, 1,117 Christian Arabs were entering.
By 1935,1,390  Muslim Arabs came into Palestine.
By 1945, there was a total population in Palestine of 401,149.  Out of that, 367,845 were Jews.  The Christian and Muslim Arabs combined made a total of 33,304.  These were the number of immigrants who registered as immigrants in the British Report.
 In 1934, only 1,784 non-Jews were recorded as immigrants, keeping out the list the Hauranis, or southern Syrian Arabs in the number of 30,000 to 35,000.  They had immigrated to Western Palestine, which was where the Jews lived, and were not included in British calculations.

The birthplace that Muslims listed in 1931 in Palestine were;  Palestine, Syria, Transjordan, Cyprus, Egypt, Hejaz-Nejd, Iraq, Yemen, Other Arabian Territories, Persia, Turkey, Central Asiatic Territories,  the Indian Continent, Far Eastern Asia, Algeria, Morocco, Tripoli, Tunis, Other African Territories, Albania, France, Greece, Spain, UK, USSR, USA, Central America; South America, Australia.

AP, in their story about how Abbas is going to leave Palestinian refugees in Syria, expanded the population number of Arabs by saying, "Palestinians in Syria are descendants of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who fled or were driven from their homes in the war that followed Israel's creation in 1948.  "In addition, several million Palestinians live in neighboring Arab countries, including more than half a million in Syria." 

Please note that Israel is made up of 1.7 million Arabs as citizens and 6 million Jews.  Those that followed their leaders' orders to leave went into refugee camps and haven't changed their status.  They can only blame their leaders, not Israel when in those days they were in much smaller numbers.  

It must be those same leaders who have encouraged them to have their 4 wives and produce many many children to jump their numbers.  Notice that none of the surrounding Arab states have taken in any refugees because the leaders want  to take over Israel and are using their bodies for this purpose.  It's just like Abbas is doing today.  "The Palestinian president said he has rejected a conditional Israeli offer to let Palestinian refugees in war-torn Syria resettle in the West Bank and Gaza, charging it would compromise their claims to return to lost homes in Israel."  Their eyes are on the 8,000 sq miles making up Israel; Tel Aviv, Safed, Haifa, the whole state of Israel.  They are not interested in creating a state of their own and living in peace with Israel. 

The fact remains that the War of Independence began as a civil war between the Arabs and the Jews in Palestine after November 29, 1947.  It was started by the Arab who refused to accept the UN partition resolution.  From April 1948, units of Arab irregulars crossed into the country from Syria, Lebanon and Egypt to reinforce local Arabs in their attacks on the Jewish towns and in an attempt to block the main roads.  

May 14, 1948, Israel was invaded by the regular armies of Egypt, Transjordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon and a Saudi-Arabian contingent.  The next day, Azzam Pasha of the Arab League proclaimed in Cairo that "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and Crusades.  Israel at the time was about 15 minutes old.  

Israel's population on its birth date was 650,000, about the same number that entered Canaan with Joshua during the EXODUS.  6,000 Jews were killed in this 1st war, more than in all the following wars combined.

Archeological Finds in Israel Proving Bible History

                                                        The Exodus

In 2011, archaeologists Uncovered  the  ruins of  the biblical city  of Shechem, or as we know it today as Nablus,  in war-torn Israel.  The biblical ruin lies inside a Palestinian city in Judea-Samaria; the (West Bank,) where modern researchers are writing the latest chapter in a 100-year-old excavation that has been interrupted by two world wars and numerous rounds of Mideast upheaval.  Excavation on Shechem was started in 1913 to  1934 by German archaeologists.   From 1948 to 1967 this land was in Jordanian territory illegally and since the 1967 War is under Israel's control.  It's earliest walls date back to 2000 BCE.  It was under Egyptian control as early as the 12th dynasty BCE.  Our biblical patriarchs camped under its walls and it was pillaged by Simeon and Levi as told in Gen.34.   Later, it was in the territory of Ephraim, and was a Levitical city and a city of refuge as well as the center of the House of Joseph.  Joseph is buried there.  

Before naysayers say that the Old Testament is just a bunch of myths, they should check out what archaeologists have already proven.  

Nelson Glueck took a Transjordan survey which is thought by some scholars to show that the Israelite entry (Exodus into Canaan) did not happen earlier than the 13th century BCE.  My encyclopedia has Moses dying by 1271 BCE  and our history is that he was not able to enter the land as he was already 120 years old by then, so had chosen Joshua to lead the Israelites in.  So they are in agreement with this.  It would not have happened, say, in the 14th century.  

The Merneptah stele which is dated c. 1231 BCE sets a terminus ad quem   (to which there) for the Exodus.   Others thought the same and this resulted from the researches at Jericho, Bethel, Lachish, Tel Bet Mirsim, Hazor, etc.

Pottery study has identified the Philistines, and work at Gibeah (Tel el Ful and Jerusalem which we also call Zion has cast light on King Saul's and King David's reign, just as digs at Tel el-Hesi and  other places may have revealed King Solomon's chariot stables, and Tel el-Khalife, which is also called Ezion Geber, his trade and mining center.      

Bible study is illuminated by archaeology both in and outside what was then, Palestine, now mostly Israel.    The Mesopotamian discoveries of Ur of where Abraham was born do indicate a period of great floods which are reflected in the biblical Flood Story found in Genesis.  

Both the Egyptian Execration of the 20th and 19th century BCE and the Mari along the Euphrates of the 19th and 18th century texts show the patriarchal period.  Transjordan researches show contemporary Middle Bronze Age life as semi-nomadic.   

There are the well known Tel el Amarna tablets from the 14th century BCE which illumine the Israelite advent.  The Hammurabi  and similar legal codes of the 18th century give us the background of Mosaic legislation  and the legal habits of the patriarchal period.   

Edward  Robinson in 1838-1852 was an archaeologist who tried re-identification of biblical sites.  "Robinson traveled to Palestine in 1838 in the company of Rev. Eli Smith, leading to the publication of Biblical Researches in Palestine and Adjacent Countries for which he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society in 1842 He was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1847. Robinson, together with Smith, made scores of identifications of ancient places including the tunnel dug by King Hezekiah shortly before the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem in 701/02 BCE, though the inscription at the southern end of the tunnel was to be found later.  The Robinson's Arch in the Old City of Jerusalem is named after him."  Edward was a farm boy from Southington, Connecticut born 4/10/1794.  He is a direct descendant of the Reverend John Robinson who sent the Pilgrims over from Holland to America on the Mayflower in 1620.  Most likely his Christian religion was the motivation for his digs in Palestine.  

He was followed by a lot of travelers in the 19th century.  F. de Suley carried out the first excavation of the Tombs of the Kings in Jerusalem in 1850.  The English Palestine Exploration Fund in 1865 started C. Warren's Jerusalem excavations in 1867 and a survey of Western Palestine was done in 1872 to 1878 by Conder and Kitchener.  His digs coincided with important work by C. Clermont-Ganneau, G. Schumacher and others.

By 1890, W. Flinders Petrie was at Tel el-Hesi and devised the system of pottery dating by looking at the stratification and cross dating it with Egyptian finds.  This started the methods used afterwards at Gezer, Samaria and other places.  They were able to go back to the Old Stone Age, or the Middle Paleolithic Age found in the Carmel and Nazareth skeletons, intermediate between Neanderthal man and Homo Sapiens. The Mesolithic's Middle Stone age culture is represented by the Natufian cave-dwellers, the first cultivators who lived around 8,000 BCE, and Neolithic, most strikingly by the Yarmukian settlement of Shaar ha-Golan.   

By 5,000 BCE, walled village settlement had evolved as in Jericho.  The use of copper began c 4,500 which started the Chalcolithic age in Jericho, Telulat Ghassul, and in the Beersheba district.  In 3,200-2,100 BCE we find the Early Bronze Age.  The Middle Bronze Age was from 2100 to 1500 BCE.  The Late Bronze Age was from 1500 to 1100 BCE which had walled towns that were spread out as revealed by excavations at Bet Yerah.  Megiddo, Jericho, Bet Shean, Tel Bet Mirsim, and so on are examples of that period.  

Research has even revealed the famous Hyksos of the 18th century BCE with fortresses at Hazor, Shechem and Horite or Hurrian migrations from the 17th century and growing Mediterranean contacts under Egyptian rule such as in Bet Shean from the 1500 to 1100 BCE period.  

Discoveries of the Ugarit (Ras Shamra) include  old Canaanite texts from 1880 to 1200 BCE. They shed light on the earliest poetical parts of the Bible.  Epigraphical finds at Sinai, Gezer Calendar, Siloam, the Moabite Stone, Lachish letters and the Arad Ostraca show the development of the Hebrew alphabet.  

Archaeology in Samaria has uncovered the palaces of Kings Omri, Ahab, and Jeroboam II and show the Phoenician affinities of their culture.  Many sites such as Megiddo and Lachish have  given us dates and show the extent of the destruction that came before the Babylonian exile.  

Excavations at Samaria, Beth Zur, Marisa, Beth Shean and Transjordan Tobiad Palace of the 2nd century BCE date form the Hellenistic period of the 3rd to 1st centuries BCE.  

The later Second Temple Period has brought researches into the tombs and ossuaries of the Jerusalem area and into the Herodian structures of the southern and western walls of the Temple area, the Jerusalem Citadel, Mamre and Masada with its remains of Herod's palace, the Zealot living-quarters and the Roman siege-lines.  
                                                                                 

Finally, in the 1st century belong the DEAD SEA SCROLLS with their affect on Bible study and knowledge of Jewish sectarianism.  Another important find in caves of the Judean desert was the correspondence of the Bar Kokhba period.  He was the leader who fought against the Romans from 132-135 CE but was finally killed.  

The catacombs at Bet Shearim gave us information about Jewish art, language, and religion of the 2nd to 5th centuries CE.  The Israel Government Department of Antiquities has from  1949 carried out the supervision and protection of antiquities, investigation of chance finds and systematic excavations.  The Israel Exploration Society has worked at Bet Shearim and Masada.
