Britain's Cheating Heart: Fleecing the Jews of Their National Homeland

Tonight we Jews celebrate Passover, which commemorates the Exodus from Egypt after serving as slaves for 400 years  and our 40 years of travail in the wilderness to get to our Promised Land of Canaan with Moses and Joshua. 

We can also remember another Exodus in 1947.  There was a ship by that name full of Jewish emigrants from France who left port on July 11, 1947 to go to the British mandated Palestine as they intended to live, after surviving the Holocaust, in the promised Jewish Homeland.   It was virtually impossible for Jews to get into any other place at this time.  Even to go to the USA, one had to have a sponsor to guarantee that they would not become in need of finanaces.  Many countries required baptism certificates, something Jews wouldn't have.  Palestine was the one and only hope in this great time of need. 

They held no legal immigration certificates to Palestine.  Red tape such as this was not prevelent in the death camps that they crawled out of.  The British Royal Navy seized the ship and deported all its passengers back to the hate-filled Europe.  The story of this ship was made into a book  by Leon Uris published in 1958 and a movie  that came out in 1960 with Paul Newman playing the main role of Ari Ben Canaan, as it was such a shock to our senses, no matter who we were. 

The sad state of affairs for them was that Israel was declared a state May 14, 1948, after they were deported.  It behooves me that the Navy couldn't have seen that this was about to happen.  To return these people to a place they could have died in is unforgivable. 

By 1942, London had received a detailed account that Auschwitz concentration camp alone had killed 4,000 Jews by shooting, 2,900 by gassing and 2,000 by phenol injection, 1,200 were beaten to death and 800 committed suicide by walking into the electric fence of the camp.

They continued to allow Arab immigrants enter the Jewish Homeland illegally.  They entered and some were escorted to the frontier, which was hundreds of miles long and guarded by the Arab Legion!  They then were told to go home.  You can imagine that this was a joke.  The British police didn't deport illegals and only those who were brought to their attention amounted to only about 546 in two months in 1942, perhaps done for show only.   This was at a time that the British had halted Jewish immigration to their National Home.

That they did so amounts to a time of the "Jews' greatest peril in Europe and is the most cynical and craven chapter in the tragic record of the Holocaust".   Double that atrocity by the British behavior of including new Arab immigrants and misrepresenting them as "millennia settled Palestinian Arabs" in order to get them to work in place of Jews they wouldn't allow in.  This amounted to sealing the fate of millions of would-be Jewish immigrants in the extermination camps of Europe. 

This happened as the White Paper of 1939 was defended and rationalized by the British.  They claimed that Palestine had reached the outside population limit of absorbing Jewish workers, but at the same time had special legislation that allowed the administration to import thousands of "illegal" Arab workers to meet the job needs of the government who said that there weren't enough workers.  So, while Jews were digging trenches in the death camps of the Holocaust to die in, their possible jobs and salvation went to nomadic Arabs in Palestine.  Those Jews who managed to get to Palestine were denied entry. 

This shocking piece of history shows that anti-semitism was active in Britain as well as in Germany, a country that has prided themselves with their outstanding organization skills.  I must figure that none of this was accidental but on purpose.  How quickly they disregarded their promises and friends.  At this very time it was Palestinian Jews who were fighting for the Allies, and these very British knew at the time that extermination of Jews in Eastern Europe was going on.  Yet, these very British continued to prevent Jewish immigration into Jewish-settled areas in Western Palestine on any basis.  This was not only against all sanity but was as callous and inexplicable as can be. 

The 2nd World War had started in 1939.  Jews were on the ship, Struma, trying to get to Palestine but were hit by a Soviet submarine off the Turkish coast, where many ships stopped to refuel.  7,000 Danish Jews and 700 of their non-Jewish relatives got out and were sent to Malmo, Sweden, where it was safer.  Ironic as it is, these are the Jews who have now been forced out of Malmo by Arab immigrants.  This seems to highlight the fact that the best or only place for Jews was the Jewish Homeland. 

Whatever Arab migrants managed to come into Palestine therefore was not all legal or according to hoyle.  There would have been many more Jews there if the British had been allowing them to enter according to the original deal.  The whole idea was that the Jews needed a place of their own in the midst of all the persecution they were going through in Europe as it was from the 1800's on and especially during the Nazi years.  Honesty was not Britain's policy at the time in dealing with Jews.

Kairos Palestine Against Israel's Presence

A group of Palestinian Christians  issued their Kairos Palestine paper on December 11, 2009 in Bethlehem.  This statement's title is "A Moment of Truth."  This is a disgruntled group of complainers who want to rid the future "Palestine" of Jews, evidently, for they advocate that "occupation" by Israel is a sin. 

Israel doesn't see that it is "occupying" land.  After being attacked in 1967, they liberated the most Jewish city in the world, Jerusalem, built and inhabited by King David and his people for centuries.  Judea and Samaria were a part of the empire, and thanks to the surrounding Arab nation's greediness and hatred, came again into the hands of Israel today fair and square.

That conditions are  to be decided through a peace treaty doesn't seem to phase this Kairos group.  Their side, the Palestinians, are firstly represented by the majority religion, the Muslims who happen to be led by a treacherous terrorist group or groups, Fatah and Hamas, who have not and do not seem willing to come to an agreement with Israel at all.

About 1.4 million Arabs are citizens of Israel.  Many of these are Christians.  In fact, in 1922 9.5% of the Arabs living in Palestine were Christians with 7.9% being Christians in 1946.  Remember that 1948 was when Israel was created.  Today there are about 144,000 to 196,000 Christians which is 2.1% to 2.8% of the total population. Less than 4% of the Christians live in Judea/Samaria and 1% live in Gaza.  In Israel proper there are about 10% Christians.  Citizens have full rights.  They aren't being treated as dminnis or 2nd-3rd class citizens such as Jews were treated in Arab countries before 1948. 

Led by the angry but "religious" Desmund Tutu in dwelling on South Africa's apartheid problems, this group turns against Israel calling this dirty name, not bothering to check out the facts at all.  If they ever did, they'd see that they have no grounds to stand on, for Israel is the exact opposite of being an apartheid state.  We've been the position of being picked on for so long that we know what that is like, so have been most careful not to do to others what they have done to us.  Jews do practice the "Golden Rule" religiously.  There are even Palestinians serving in the knesset. 

Mr. Tutu, I've heard a lot of things in my day.  I've been told that Jews have such curly or wavy hair and that this means they are part black as well.  We've been kept out of jobs, out of country clubs, out of housing.  We've run the gamit and after 2,000 years we're so elated to have our own land back again as a place we can't be thrown out of, that we're fighting like heck to keep our state.  So stand back and let us live!

The Kairos paper has its eye on Jerusalem, saying that "Jerusalem is the foundation of their vision and their entire life,"  The future state of Palestine does want east Jerusalem as its capital, and I've been fearing that they will be after the whole city next.  This paper isn't mentioning just east Jerusalem, is it? They want all of it though they notice that it is a city inhabited by two peoples of 3 religions.   The mayor of Jerusalem has worked very hard to make this work, and what these Kairos drumbeaters  are doing is destructive. 

They call for a political solution to the struggle for Jerusalem.  So has Israel but Hamas won't sit down and talk.  What makes them think that they will be the inheritors?  The Muslims seem to be first in line being they are the leaders.  Everyone is grabbing for Jerusalem but nobody wants to sit down and discuss it with Israel.  I believe this is downright "COVETING', which is one of the 10 commandements that you shouldn't do.  I believe Israel has proved that everyone is much better off with Israel being in charge. 

They call for the end of "occupation."  and even claim that occupation deprives Palestinians of dignity and basic human rights.  If anyone checks, they will see that Palestinians  are enjoying more dignity and rights than most Muslims in any other Arab country in Israel.  It seems to me that the Kairos advocates are actually speaking for Hamas and Fatah.   There is no theological context to this position at all; it's purely political, which they deny.  Having homes in east Jerusalem or in Judea and Samaria, our old homestead, is not a sin against "G-d and humanity, as they say defiantly. 

Everything is not Kum By Ya in Israel.  They have a problem of Hamas and even Fatah terrorists trying to kill Israelis.  Because of this they have had to take certain measures to protect their citizens, like build a wall, have checkpoints, check for ID perhaps.  This would not have ever been necessary had the Palestinians practiced good will towards Israelis.  This has not happened. 

Instead of coming out with this Kairos Palestine paper, why don't these leaders come out with sermonizing to their brothers about the fact that its a sin to try to kill Jews by shooting rockets, missiles and mortars into Israel, or shooting these with chemicals in them such as was threatened when all of Israel had to issue gas masks, or sneak into schools and stab and kill children?  How about the fact that it was a sin to attack Israel in the first place in 1967?  What happens when you try to kill someone?  You get punished.  Their punishment was losing land to Israel.  If they want any of it back they have to give something in return, and that is called a peace pact. 

Nope, this is a group of appeasers using religion as a veil to side with the terrorists in taking land from Israel in the act of destroying it.  Like what has been said before, they only hope to be eaten last.  The seriousness of all this is that the Kairos Palestinian leaders are working with the Sabeel Christian group who advocate the BDS movement which means divestment from Israel.  This means they advocate not buying products made in Israel and are trying to break Israel's back this way.  This movement has spread all over the world to one degree or another. 

If this group were really Christians in the true sense of the word, they would join Israel in encouraging the Palestinian leaders to make peace with Israel.  Besides Desmond Tutu in South Africa,  the leaders of this organization live right here in Portland, Oregon and are leaders in some very "respectable" churches.  I ask why they pick on Israel who shouldn't have to constantly defend themselves.  I dare them to take off their glasses of anti-semitism and help bring about peace by seeing really what is "truth".

PA Killing Their Own People and Their Fatwa on Jews

A PA religious leader, Mufti Muhammad Hussein , joins other Muslim religious leaders such as Qaradawi of Qatar in issuing a fatwa on Jews.  He is saying that it is a religious Islamic goal and so they should murder Jews.  He cited the Hadith and said, "The Hour of Resurrection will not come until you fight the Jews.  The Jew will hide behind stone or trees.  Then the stones or trees will call:  O Muslim, servant of Allah (G-d) there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him."  The moderator of the program where this was said, the 47th anniversary of the PA's Fatah faction,  also told another Islamic belief--that the Jews are descendants of apes and pigs.  A video of this program was made and was on youtube, but has been taken down. 

In 2010, this same Hussein gave a sermon in Jerusalem at the Al Aqsa Mosque telling people that Jews are "enemies of Allah."  It has been found that 73% of Palestinian Arabs believe the Hadith that Jews are to be murdered.  This isn't a war over land.  The moderator said it is a war of religion and faith. 

We don't have anything in our philosophy to kill Muslims,. We've been trying for almost 64 years to convince them that we can live in peace in the same neighborhood.   Perhaps what the Muslim leaders are afraid of is that they will see the freedom of speech and the Democratic values practiced in Israel and that this would give their people ideas.

Such a stupid statement in this day and age of being related to apes and pigs just shows how little the speaker knows about science and dna.  He'd be surprised to know who his relatives were.  That type of thinking dates his beliefs immensely-they come from the Dark Ages. 

What a terrorist group Hamas is!  Truly, they have also been terrorizing their own Arab people.  One man tried to expose Hamas's behavior towards their own people by using them as human shields, which Israel has been trying to tell people.  A man told about how some are tortured , abused and are not allowed freedom of speech, but is having a hard time getting the UN to pay attention.  So Mahmud Abu Rahma was stabbed in the back, leg and shoulders for trying to get the truth out.

The UN has many resources in place supposedly to protect "Palestinians" but they do not pay attention to the violation of human rights of Hamas.  Israel has told the UN many times of the military training sites in places close to neighborhoods and schools where they fire rockets at Israel.  Live fire from training sites injure their own people.  One man has lost an eye and children are often hurt.  Beit Lahiya has a training site where an explosion took place on Sept 20, 2011 which threatens the lives of people there..  Such explosions are a common occurance in densely-populated areas where children are most often the victim. 

If granted statehood, are the "Palestinians" prepared to create a democratic state where people have rights of freedom of speech?  Or is it going to be another Syria where people are taken away and killed for speaking out?  Why hasn't UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon done something about this?  Syria is still on the UN membership in committees dealing with human rights!  This is appalling!

I doubt if the terrorists are going to find any Jewish person hiding behind boulders, stones or trees in today's world.  Civilians, who  are  men, women and children will be in bomb shelters in any attacks, but the rest of the population is a trained army, both men and women, ready at a moment's notice to protect their people.  Jews love life and intend to live.  Our mantra is L'Chaim!  To Life!  We don't have any such notions that if we die in battle we go to a heaven with 72 virgins at our disposal.  So you can bet that our creative juices will be to work on staying alive.

Arabs living in Gaza, Judea and Samaria as well as all the camps in surrounding areas will never know the facts about their history due to their Palestinian Authority  TV.  They keep brain-washing their followers in denying that there was ever an Israel or their right to exist today.  Their whole argument is that Israel does not have a right to exist and the PA has no intentions of coming to a peace agreement.  Right now they are just going through the motions in Jordan in order to pacify the UN and Jordan, who is hosting peace talks. 

One way they brain-wash is with repetative songs of music videos.  One such song is "On the way to Jerusalem", broadcast at least 7 times and identifies numerous cities all over Israel as being "Palestinian."

First of all, the cities are in Israel.  Second, there never was a Palestine!  Palestine was simply land that had been in the Jewish kingdoms of Judea and Israel and Samaria that had been renamed by the Romans around 135 CE after they had attacked and taken over Jerusalem in 70 CE.  As for a country of Palestine, it never happened.  Their premise is wrong to start with. 

They sing: "Jaffa, Acre, Haifa, and Nazareth are ours.  Muhammad, sing about the Galilee and the Golan (Heights).  Jaffa, Acre, Haifa and Nazareth are ours.....From Bethlehem to Jenin is Palestinian, Ramle, Lod and Sakhnin are Palestinian.  Nowhere is more beautiful than Jerusalem....From Safed to Al-Badhan (near Nablus) is Palestinian, Tiberias and Ashkelon are Palestinian."

How can we deal with such people in peace talks when they stand for such lies?  We're palavering with Arabs right now in Jordan who are not working with a full deck.  The Arabs actually are trying to gain full recognition as a state through the UN, which is topheavy with Muslim allies.  They're resisting direct negotiations with Israel by crying that the environment is not condusive with Israel building in the "settlements," their terminology for towns and cities.  They demand that before they talk they want Israel to freeze all "settlement" activitiy.  This is putting the cart before the horse.  Since they want the whole enchillada, they can't stand seeing what is Israeli property becoming even more secure with continued upgrades.

  After 60 years of trying to deal with a people who won't come to peace with them, Israel most likely feels that it'll take another 100 years to come to fruition, so why not make repairs now?  With such brain-washing going on, which is just one of many things that they do to show a non-compliance, who can take them seriously?  Their 2nd meeting was held Monday, the 9th of January with the next one to be on the 26th.  The more Abbas of the PA goes to the UN to get their own way, the more Israel will find reasons to put people to work on construction.

Qatar's Dealings With Hamas

The former leader of Qatar died in 1995.  

Senator John Kerry had "voiced concerns about alleged Qatari government and private support to Hamas, saying in April 2009 that "Qatar....can't continue to be an American ally on Monday that sends money to Hamas on Tuesday."

"August 2009 saw Qatar offer $10 million in cash payments via the Hamas Administration in Gaza to support thousands of unemployed Palestinians".  Most are employed in the government.  The "Palestinians" are the longest achieving people to be on the dole with the U.N. as a displaced people. The $10 million included fishermen facing difficulty because of Israel's blockade of Gaza's coastal waters.  This came about because of ships trying to bring in ammunition used to attack Israel. 

Qatar makes more money than any other Arab country in the Middle East.  Qatar supports the Arab League position backing indirect negotiations between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.  Just in April of this year, the Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani visited the White House and said that "the most important issue for us in the region is that Palestine-Israeli conflict and how to find a way to establish a Palestinian state."

He said then that he supported Obama's goal of the existence of two states living peacefully side by side.  Being his good friend, Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, seemingly Qatar's chief Theologian,  is a main leader in the Muslim Brotherhood, I doubt his sincerity to Obama.  The Muslim Brotherhood is for the murder of all Jews and the destruction of Israel according to their charter.  For starters, he's all for the destruction of Jerusalem.  Qaradawi believes this so strongly that he has issued a fatwa  stating all this.

Qatari leaders have criticized Israel's decisions on Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria and in additional upkeep building in Jerusalem.  Their mixed signals are reflected in Qatar's position about boycotting Israel.  In September 1994 their decision by the GCC was to terminate enforcement of the indirect boycotts, but maintaining in theory the primary boycott.  There actually had been an Israeli trade office in the capital, Doha, but it was closed by the Qatari government in response to the January 2009 Gaza war and hasn't been reopened. 

Qatar has been supportive of Hamas in recent years and indirectly supportive of Iran and Syria.  They tell others that it's a policy of engaging all sides in the interests of peace.  In October 2006 they were doing some diplomacy to resolve the differences between Palestinian factions and trying to release the kidnapped Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit by Hamas captors.  They even offered $50 million to the Hamas-led PA government and has hosted Hamas leaders for many talks since January 2006.  Tzipi Livni, Israel's then Foreign Minister declined their invitation in Doha in October 2006 because Hamas people would be there.  However, an Israeli delegation did go.  Shimon Peres visited Qatar in February 2007 and declined the Emir's reported suggestion that Israel negotiate directly with Hamas.

Qater kept working on Hamas and Fatah to speak to each other and they came to an agreement in May 2011.  They may even find offices for themselves in Doha because of unrest in Syria.  After all, Khaled Meshaal and other Hamas leaders visited Doha in April and December 2010, meeting with Emir Al Thani and Prime Minister Jabr Al Thani. 

Qatar and Israel do not have formal diplomatic ties.  The Emir of Qatar gave refuge to Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, considered a theologian of terror for Jews, who was kicked out of Egypt because of leadership in the Muslim Brotherhood.  That was when Mubarak was head of Egypt.  Today the Muslim Brotherhood has gained leadership there, but Qaradawi is settled nicely in Qatar.  One must think of why Egypt couldn't tolerate his religious leadership back then and what it stood for that Mubarak realized.  Hamas has sworn to destroy Israel.  This gives cause to worry about Qatar's connections. 

Our government continues to be Qatar's ally.  They were allowed to use Qatar as a a major military base.  Qatar founded Al Jazeera, the first all news Arabic language satellite TV network in 1995 used to brainwash many into hating Israel along with their news.  Some Americans question the possible support for Al Qaeda terrorists including members of the ruling Qatar family.

Palestinian Anti-Semites Seeking Alternate UN Membership

The Arabs living in Gaza and Judea-Samaria put on a repugnant TV program called "Sights of Jerusalem."  In it last week they showed Jews praying at the Western wall as sin and filth and that the Arabs plan to build an Arab residential area in place of the Western Wall Plaza in Jerusalem as soon as the Israelis disappear.  They had high hopes carrying this off as they are now members of UNESCO and are busy trying to obliterate anything smacking of Judaism in Israel. 

Rain fell in Jerusalem, they said recently on the scheduled program, to wash away the impurity of the footsteps of Jews on behalf of Muslims who come to pray in Jerusalem.  Their anti semitism is so obvious that it reeks.  They even teach that Haifa is a Palestinian Port, which of course it isn't.  I lived there for 10 months from 1980-1981 attending an educator's Ulpan and it definitely was in Israel's hands and still is. It is just amazing to me that their people could fall into believing such lies.

All these lies and conceit probably have not reached Washington's ears.  However, Obama has been able to dispel support for the Arabs' admission of a Palestine in the U.N. at this time, so that Abbas and Co. are already lobbying foreign governments in Western Europe for that type of admission.  They are campaigning in the General Assembly, topheavy with developing countries that would be siding with the Palestinians, but finding the way difficult because of the opposition by the U.S. who has promised to veto their acceptance.   Abbas has been trying to get the 9 votes they need in the 15 member Security Council for approval for membership. 

The "Palestinians" have such evil intentions;  bombing civilians in southern Israel, trying to carry out their schemes already of taking over important sites in Israel's hands to prevent Jews from visiting them through UNESCO, and attempting to erase Israel's presence in the land as well as refusing to recognize Israel at all, that I just can't see how anyone in the free world can abide such behavior.   The over one million Arab citizens of Israel have more freedom than they would ever find in a Muslim country. 

There are many groups of people who want and deserve their own state far more than the Palestinians in my opinion.  The Kurds, whose dna show that they are connected to the Jews more than any other group, have suffered and want a state.  I'd be willing to trade the Palestinians for the Kurds any day.  How about the Basques of Spain?  I knew a lot of Basques living in Ontario, Oregon and they are wonderful people.  Jews have been waiting the longest  to regain their state of any group for almost 2,000 years (.70 CE-1948)  

The Palestinians are losing out in a lot of easy money that was coming in from the USA by pushing for Observer Status now through the U.N. such as the Vatican has.  They most likely will get a majority vote for that.  Why are they doing this?  They plan to have leverage this way in order to force Israel to give in to their demands, especially to freeze building in Judea and Samaria, which they want for themselves and will make it Arab territory only, just like Saudi Arabia.  No Jews will be allowed to live in any part of a Palestine.  According to past history, they will not become a state quickly after gaining Observer status, at least that hasn't happened to any state in the past.  The "Palestinian" Arabs have been displaying the morality of Nazis in how they speak about Jews and in their missile attacks on Israeli citizens.  They don't deserve a state of their own.  What have they ever done to be worthy of one?

Zionism: Our Call To Freedom to Survive-and to Build

Jews returning to their land  or becoming Zionists is not a modern idea only found in the 20th century.  Jews returned twice before from their Babylonia exiles and rebuilt their land, only to go through it a 3rd time in August of 70 CE when the invading Roman armies occupied and destroyed their ancient capital of Jerusalem, causing our Jewish independence to halt.  Thousands of Jews were driven out of their homeland then.  The exile lasted for 20 centuries but our nationalism never died.  It finally happened in the rebirth of the Jewish state on May 14, 1948.  The miracle was that the land had lain barren and empty; something nobody was interested in, as if it were just waiting for the rightful tenants to return because they were the only ones who really loved the land. 

Zionism now is a dirty word to many Arabs, some of who are even visiting Portland's  Lincoln High with a presentation about these "terrible racist Zionists" this week.  However, Zionism is the term of calling us back to our ancient homeland to farm and industrialize it, to build new towns and villages and live there.  Theodor Herzl was the founder of the Zionist Movement at the end of the 19th century.  Thousands of Jews began the "aliyah"-the going up to the land to live there once again along with Jews who had never left.  It was a time of buying land back that had once been in our hands.    

Along came the Bilu movement with Russian Jewish students who settled agricultural kibbutz'm in 1882 This had followed terrible pograms where Jews were attacked and killed in Russia. My grandfather, Nathan, must have been in those pograms as he was born in 1872, and I know my grandmother, Zlotta, was as she came out of it with broken legs. 

In 1893 Nathan Birnbaum coined the term Zionism as Mount Zion in Jerusalem has always symbolized the Land of Israel.

In 1897 the first Zionist congress was created by Herzl where the Jews defined their movement of establishing for the Jewish people their national home in Palestine.  Jews are a people or nation as well as having a religion  who wish to retain their identity as a national community.  By 1901 Herzl had created the Jewish National Fund with the practice of children giving their pennies of caronom'm to be used to buy land.  Land was bought at extremely high prices from Arab landowners usually living outside of Palestine who were glad to get rid of it. 
 
I was one of the recent people making aliyah, returning in September of 1980 to Haifa. It was a privilege to be a part of the prophecized "ingathering" of exiles from all over the world. 
 
The Arabs, meanwhile, have had ample time and chances to create their own state of "Palestine", since we took the ancient name of Israel to remember our roots, but they refused over and over, choosing instead to attack Israel with massive wars and constant bombings in their attempts to drive us into the sea and be gone.  Now they are saying that they intend to create a state but want part of Jerusalem as their capital.  Yet they refuse to sit down without preconditions and barter with us.  They use Israel's building as the reason why they won't even palaver.  They won't even accept us as a "Jewish" state.  Abbas, leader of Fatah, has recently stated that he regrets that they didn't choose to become a state in 1947-1848. 
 
Israel plans building 1,650 units in apartment houses in Jerusalem, it's capital in their annexed land regained from Jordan's illegal takeover that was recovered in 1967.  Other building will happen in Efrat and Maale Adumim, neighborhoods in the SE sector.  This land was already deemed to stay in Israel's hands no matter what the Arabs had decided to do with their statehood.  Yet the Palestinians claim the land as part of their future state and the international community has never recognized Israel's ownership.  In fact, they even have condemned Israel's building plans, much to their dishonor.  What irks Israel is that they had a moratorium of 10 months when they didn't build even a merapeset (balcony outside a window in an apartment building)or anything but the Arabs continued to not meet for a peace consult.  They had the chance to do something and balked.  The Arabs wouldn't discuss peace plans seriously when Israel wasn't building in Jerusalem and won't now, demanding that Israel have a complete halt in construction as a condition for resuming peace negotiations. 
 
Israel is in dire need of housing.  Most everyone in Israel lives in high rise apartment buildings.  Judea and Samaria were once part of the package offered by Britain and the League of Nations as the Jewish National Home, but the Arabs are claiming these places as well.   The land of Israel is but a postage stamp in size compared to other states, and yet the Arabs, who already have a majority in 47 or more states, want our capital of  Jerusalem as well.  They seem to want things only after they are developed and beautified by the Jews. 
 
The Arabs do not have a historical connection with Eretz Israel, or Palestine.  Their homeland is Arabia, which is the SW peninsula of Asia.  There they have 1,027,000 square miles or 2,630,000 square kilometers where Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kuwait, Bahrein, Qatar, Trucial Oman sit on the Persian Gulf along with Muscat and Oman, and South Yemen.  They only came to "Palestine" through Damascus in the Omayyad dynasty and held the land for a little over a century.  They were overthrown in 750 by the Abbasids from Persia and then by the Turks.  The Abbasids were defeated by the Fatimids.  Their success wasn't in governing the land, it was in their language of Arabic and with Islam which became their major religion. 
 
As far as the present day Arabs living in Palestine,  most came there from the surrounding lands in order to secure jobs with the Jews that were building. 
 
What I can't understand is:
1. Why has the international community sided with the Arabs who do nothing but attack Israel's civilians with missiles and mortars and who refuse to come to peaceful terms with Israel?  Does oil really take priority in view of morality? 
2. How can Arabs call us racist when Jews are not allowed into any Arab land today such as Saudi Arabia?  Those that had lived in Muslim lands for centuries were forced out in 1948 with the rebirth of Israel, and had been living as 2nd class citizens or dhimmis.  They were not allowed to ride horses or camels, to build synagogues or churches taller than mosques, to construct houses higher than those of Muslims or to drink wine in public; were forced to wear distinctive clothing and were not allowed to pray or mourn in loud voices that might offend Muslims, they had to always yield to Muslims and give them the center of the road, was not allowed to give evidence in court against a Muslim and his oath was unacceptable in an Islamic court, and to get a witness in court had to buy them, leaving little or no legal recourse when harmed by a Muslim.  The attitude of Muslims towards Jews and Christians was that of a master towards a slave, tolerating them as long as they kept their place.  If you tried to act as an equal, this was repressed immediately.

UNESCO Voting on New member of "Palestine" Today in Paris

The state of Palestine has not been accepted through the U.N. as yet.  Even so, UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has its general conference today in Paris.  It is scheduled to vote to admit "Palestine" as a member today by having the 193 country members vote.  If this passes, our US law mandates cutting off its $70 million dollar contribution to UNESCO, which is 22% of their total budget. 

The situation is that if and when these Hamas-Fatah terrorists become a UNESCO member, they will gain international support to continue erasing the history of Jews in Eretz Israel.  To do this they will have holy sites, such as 'the Cave of the Patriarchs' in Hebron, 'Joseph's tomb' in Nablus, 'Rachel's tomb' in Bethlehem, and 'the Church of the Nativity' in Bethlehem  declared as just Palestinian heritage sites. 

The Palestinian plans with UNESCO are part of the heavy-handed political campaign in many UN agencies for a state led by Mahmoud Abbas to openly refuse to acknowledge Israel as a Jewish State.  Their plan is to deny our 3,000 year old connection to our Holy Land.  Why?  It's their idea of politics in their zeal to take over the land from us.

Muslims Stealing Jewish Traditions

Jonathan Tobin wrote a great article for jewishworldreview about the Hamas-Fatah Arabs of Gaza and Judea-Samaria protesting that Israel is "Judaizing" its capital, Jerusalem!   They have even demanded that Israel stop all archeological work in the the Old city section of Jerusalem.  Last year they had the chutzpa to say that Rachel's Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs were "Muslim mosques."  They believe that research or renovation projects "reinforce Israeli occupation."  This is so disgusting to me.  Heaven help us if people do not remember that Jerusalem was the city King David, our Jewish king,  established as our Jewish capital about 3,000 years ago in 1,010 BCE.  It's been a Jewish city forever!   We were there and we have never left.  All these years we have had a Jewish presence there. 

Now we have the problem with UNESCO,  which stands for the executive board of the United Nations made up of representatives of 58 nations.  It stands for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.  They did it.  They actuallly voted to admit Palestine in as a full member.  This is what Abbas wanted and got.  UNESCO's motto is "Building Peace in the Minds of Men and Women."   All I see is that they have built up hatred for their member state of Israel.  There are 193 member nations and 7 associate nations that belong to UNESCO.  Will all these 193 natons vote to deny Israel's Jewish rights?  Can it actually be that they will deny the rights of the one and only Jewish state in this whole world?  For this is the only fact that the Muslim states have against Israel; that and that they are so successful and inventive.  To make peace the Muslims cannot bring themselves to recognize this one Jewish state and that it has a right to exist. 

The USA voted against doing this and Obama is to give his veto.  This is to come up as a vote to be finalized in the UN's full membership later this month.  If we fail to stop it and we remain in UNESCO, it will be illegal.   UNESCO is a center of anti-Israel behavior and thinking already due to their high membership of Muslim nations who do nothing but hate Israel and Jews. 

The history I have discovered is that Mohammad was an illiterate man in Saudi Arabia and used to listen to stories from the Torah being told orally by Jewish people in the city he lived in.  He wanted to be from a people of the book also like the Jews and the Christians.  He went on to finally create his own version, taking stories he had heard from Jews but inserting his own version to fit his people, like changing the names here and there.  Now the Muslims are stealing Jerusalem's past and making it theirs!  Jerusalem has no place in their Koran except for Mohammed going to heaven from there on his horse.  Their holy place is Mecca and Medina.  This is just a ruse to take land, the site of our most holy city. 

When you get right down to it, all the Jews living in Eretz Israel before May 1948 were called "Palestinians" along with any Arabs living there as well.  This was due to the renaming of the land by the Romans, and the name remained during the Ottoman Empire days.  By teaming up with the Germans, the Ottoman Empire fell at the end of World War I, and that's why the British were given the mandate to oversee the land and decide what to do with it.  It looks to me like they are still practicing Hitler's theory of telling a lie so much that people will eventually believe it.  Yes, Mahmoud, Jerusalem is a  Jewish city.  Get used to it. 

The USA has put a lot of money into UNESCO , and in these days of trying to recover money being wasted to improve the national budget, this money may be cut off to both the Arabs calling themselves "Palestinians" and the UN over this statehood of Palestine.  Obama and Clinton may want to remain in the group but the law is quite clear.  The USA" must withdraw from any group that offers "full membership as a state to any organization or group that does not have the internationally recognized attributes of statehood."  USA money makes up 22% of their funds. 

Hani al-Masri, writer, called Washington's blocking the UN recognition of Palestine "an act of aggression."  I wonder what he calls the decades of shelling Israel by Hamas?  Now that's real aggression.

How Israel Came From Judea and Israel

Los Angeles County, California has a population of 9,818,605 as of the 2010 census.  Israel now has a population of 7,797,400, including all of Jerusalem.  Therefore, Los Angeles County is bigger by 2,021,205 people, which is about the population of Houston, Texas.   Of that number, 5,874,300 in Israel are Jewish with 20.5% of the population being Arabs with 1,600,100 people. 

70CE saw the fall of Jerusalem to the Romans.  In 132CE the Jews had a leader, Bar Kochba, who revolted, and when he lost the fight  against the Romans, many of his people fled or had been forcibly taken away into slavery. At this time the population numbered 3 million according to Dio Cassius' writings. In 1785 Constantine Francois Volney described the ruined and desolate country. Alexander Keith wrote 60 years later that the land had not fully reached its last degree of desolation and depopulation. 

This land of Palestine was not a country.  It was merely a name for part of the Ottoman Empire that was originally called Judea, Israel, and Samaria given in 135 by the Roman Emporer Hadrian as Palaestina  to de-Judeaize the land.  They had even changed the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina.  "To claim that Palestinians are the original people of Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) is not only against secular history but also against Islamic history! "

Jews living in the land were poor and remained mostly in Jerusalem. Joining them were about 500 Jews from Lithuania under the Vilna Gaon in 1808 and again with Menachem Mendel of Shklov, Lithuania in 1809. They settled in Safed, Tiberias and Jerusalem and formed the basis of the Ashkenazi Jewish communities.

In 1835 Alphonse de Lamartine wrote of not seeing any living object outside the gates of Jerusalem and that it was all like a tomb. Mark Twain in 1867 wrote a travel-guide calling it a desolate country with the ground full of weeds, desolation and never seeing a human being on the whole route. He hardly saw a tree or shrub anywhere, even olive and cactus were but few in number. "Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes." "Palestine is desolate and unlovely"... Evidently the Jews from Lithuania, divided in three different areas were not noticed.

In 1847 a Jewish visitor made a pilgrimage to Palestine and reported the sorry situation and that his fellow Jews seemed conditioned to their plight because they had no protection and were at the mercy of policemen and the pashas who treated them as they wished.  They paid many taxes every now and then.  They had property but it was not at their disposal and they couldn't complain about any injury for fear of the Arabs' revenge.  Their lives were at stake and subject to  daily danger of death.  March 1949 did record a complaint from a Jew of being assaulted and stabbed by a soldier while his house was searched and his females beaten.  This all was able to happen because the land was in the hands of the Ottoman Empire. 

Then, the 1st Aliyah of Jews from Russia came later in 1881-1882 and continued in successive aliyote till 1903, which meant the arrival of between 25,000 to 35,000 more Jews. These are the ones who attracted Arabs looking for jobs.

2,000 years of wandering in other lands after losing theirs resulted in being subjected to pogroms in Russia and being kept on the Pale of Settlement of Russia while not being allowed into other parts of it and anti-semitism in them all.  Jews living in Arab countries were considered as dhminnis, or 2-3rd class citizens.  Finally in 1948 Israel was declared a state through the U.N. In 1948 there were 806,000 residents in Israel. Fighting occured before and after the announcement. 

All this time of 63 years hence Israel has been attacked by the Arabs.  Israel is always having to fight a defensive war to protect what little land they have.  All this time the Arabs have been offered land for peace to create a Palestine  but the offer has been snubbed. 

With Netanyahu again at the helm in the Knesset, Jews show that they are onto the motives and actions of their cousins, the Arabs. Not only is there an Arab Spring, but perhaps there is also a Jewish Spring as well in that the Arabs have hardened the hearts of Israel who understand their motives quite well, finally. The Arabs are also not finding favor in the eyes of the Israelis by their actions. This business of desiring peace, which Israel favors, is not reciprocated by their neighbors. We have to wait. It just may take the Messiach to bring it about.  There is no purpose in negotiating if the prize does not deliver a proper peace.

Palestinian State's Goals Same as Hamas Terrorists

The goal of creating a Palestinian state is but just a framework to change the rules of the game.  The game is to see who can wipe out Israel first, evidently.  They are now quick to admit that becoming a state through the U.N. will not end the conflict between fighting against Israel.

The Palestinians will then be able to pursue claims against Israel at the U.N.  They will attack them through:
1. Human Rights
2. International Court of Justice

Ambassador Abdullah Abdullah also admitted that Palestinian refugees will not become citizens of the new Palestine state, either.  He says that many are living in 137 different countries, such as Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan.  (By Wikipedia's count, there are 47 Muslim majority states in the world). Even those living in camps in Gaza or Judea and Samaria will not be considered.  They all will continue to be supported by the UNRW of the U.N. 

I'm not surprised.  There is nothing "holy" about their creating their own state.  They have a good thing going in getting money from the UN for the past 63 years.  People inside refugee camps do not have to work.  They are on the dole and it has become a way of life for all. 

The future Palestine does not have plans of working; only of destroying Israel.  They lust for Jerusalem.  Whatever they would do with land now Israel is a frightful thought. 

This doesn't give Israel much reason to hurry this year to find a solution to create a Palestinian state, does it. 
It will only bring them more to grieve about in Muslim-weighted courts that won't listen to reason.

Get Serious, Abbas

I think Benjamin Netanyahu is a wonderful politician.  I recall my cousin, Stanley Goldfoot's Letter to the World, where he said,  "Because I am not a  diplomat, I do not have to mince words."  This is how Netanyahu has to differ from any pundits critical of him.  Even so, he certainly spoke his mind about what he thought of the U.N.  It was a much needed truth.  Ann Curry (usually my favorite)  tried to pin him down on how he viewed Obama as being a friend, and how he viewed Bill Clinton.  Netanyahu's skills as a politican came into the forefront and he did now allow himself to get caught in that tangled web, but insisted that the USA was and always has been Israel's best friend.  My, how these interviewers can get hard-nosed with people.  If she had been that way with Ahmadinejad in Iran, I would have applauded.  Instead, that turned into a very meek and mild interview.  The lives of the two hikers were still on the line at that point.   

In order to do his job, he has to be ever mindful of the lives of the 7 plus million citizens he is responsible for.  In talks with different TV stations after the U.N. speech, he answered their many questions and made it clear that:

He welcomes the Quartet's efforts to restart the peace process.  (His call to Abbas there went unheeded.)
He puts at the top of the list for starters, the Arab's recognition of Israel as a Jewish state.
To understand that Israel must maintain security.
Israel agrees that a Palestinian state will be in selected parts of Judea and Samaria. (Israel has large cities there, too large to dismantle) and no apartments or room for relocation.  However, as said before, Israel is for a two state solution.

The main body of Israel lies just a few hundred meters from the Palestinian controlled areas in Judea and Samaria.  This must have security.  Israel has already seen what happened in Gaza, which is now happening in the Sinai as well.  (The Sinai was given back in the name of peace with Egypt). Security for all of Israel is a must. 

You don't predetermine negotiations before they've begun, which is what Abbas expects to happen.  That's not a serious move towards peace. 

Netanyahu's policies have been responsible for removing 400 roadblocks.
They froze construction for 10 months without any needed input from Abbas or his cabinet who were all given that time frame beforehand with the deadline.

No other Prime Minister has given more towards peace.  What are they waiting for?

Abbas's Expectations on 23rd

The original Mandate,  which was a plan to create Israel offered by Great Britain, was all of Palestine which was 120,466 sq. Km. or  around 46,332 sq mi.    This happened on April 24, 1920.  Britain, ever thinking of their great empire first, then had second thoughts  as she had also promised land to the Arabs.  So they wound up giving 77% of this promised land to become Trans Jordan.  This amounted to a give-away of 92,300 sq. Km. 

Now Abbas is going before the UN and is going to ask for full membership and recognition of their Palestine state.  They say they want to end the occupation of Israel in their land.  They want Jerusalem as their capital.  Earlier they had said they wanted East Jerusalem.  Papers now say they want our whole ancient holy city.  They are planning on expecting to create their Palestine with 1947 borders.

Israel accepted the piece that was left and offered to them immediately.  They have 20,700 sq km or 7,992 sq mi. in one resource and 8,019 sq mi  in another.  The narrowest strip is 12 miles.  The length is 632 miles with a 170 mi long coastline.

 This should include East Jerusalem which is 27 sq miles in itself.  The Golan Heights is 444 or 454 sq miles. Judea and Samaria make up 2,270 sq mi.

 New Jersey, the USA's 47th largest state is larger with 8,722 sq mi.  Oregon, the 9th largest state, has 98,380 sq miles.  Now a Palestine is threatening to take what little land we have. 

The Arabs left recent homelands in their search of better jobs. They joined some Arabs that had been living in the area.  The Jews also had people who had never left.  They came back to their ancient homeland after suffering in the hands of  the countries they had tried to find refuge in.  In the late 1800's they still suffered from anti-semitism resulting in pogroms and death.  The 2nd World War brought about the death of 6 million Jews from anti-semitism.  The need for their own state was a desperate one.  The need was not even there for the Arabs.  They merely wanted a better economic situation.  They had been offered land for a state but constantly have refused in hopes of bartering for all of it.  This was a shuk mentality.  Then again, they really had no need.  Predominant in their mind was the aim to keep Jews from having it.
